Laima and Trin sat on the loveseat, both looking confused.
"Um..." said Laima elegantly, looking at Trin, only to find she had the same look on her face. Trin looked back at Aubri, shurgging. "Iunno. She just... grew. A lot."

She stared at them, then sighed. "Dau went back to Baarikmet - got an apprenticeship of his own, was bored here, wanted to go home." She shrugged. "So I never got to see him grow. I was just hoping that I could finally figure out what the hell happened. I mean, it's a big anatomical change..."
Aubri tilted her head slightly. "Laima, you seriously don't remember anything?"

Laima shook her head no, then looked at Trin. Laima was obviously too shy to speak much around people, so she let Trin do it. "We figured it was normal," the girl said, pausing until Laima finished blowing her nose. "She just kinda constantly grew... kinda like a human would."

"So... it wasn't an instaneous change from being on all fours to walking upright? Huh... and it didn't hurt at all, either? Interesting..."
She shrugged, getting up. "Oh well. Do you want something to eat or drink?" She yawned. "I need some cocoa, myself, or I'll be back asleep soon."
Oddly enough, Aubri seemed nicer when she was sleepy, unlike most other people.

Trin shook her head slowly. "She mentioned a dull pain a few times, but nothing major. And, yes, I'd like something to drink. Anything's fine, really."
Trin was tempted to ask if she should accompany Aubri to the kitchen, afraid she would fall asleep and burn something. But, knowing how some women were about their cooking spaces, she figured she'd wait until she was asked.

Aubri nodded and toddled off into the kitchen. There was the sound of the sink... the microwave... and then a stream of very loud curses, in varried languages.
The water ran again, the microwave ran again, and a few minutes later, Aubrianna came out, set two mugs down on the table, and pressed a cold wet towel to her hand, grumbling.

Trin took her mug of coca off the table, mumbling a quiet "Thank you." After a few quiet moments of sipping and watching Aubri nurse her hand, Trin cleared her throat. "So... about Laima..."

"Mm? Is there something else?" Really, all of Aubri's own questions had been satisfied. She couldn't quite imagine what else might be interesting Trin.

Trin blushed. "Oh, it's nothing." She sipped her coca in silence for a few more moments, not really being able to think of anything to say. If her mind had thumbs, they would be twiddling.
