"Sunkit, you're six moons now, and it's time for you to be apprenticed. From this day onward, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Sunpaw. I ask StarClan to watch over you and guide you until you find in your paws the strength and courage of a warrior." he announced, smiling down warmly at the new apprentice. Looking around, he quickly decided her mentor. "Blackthorn, you are ready to take on an apprentice. You had received excellent training from your own mentor, and you have shown yourself to be fierce and brave. You will be the mentor of Sunpaw, and I expect you to pass on all you know to her." he finished, holding his head up high as the crowd cheered Sunpaw's new name.
Fallenpaw purred in delight, running up to his little sister to touch noses with her for a brief moment. "Congratulations."

Thunder was playing with her tail in the middle of the camp. Not very mature for a warrior, but Thunder was most definently not mature. "I'll get you! I'll get you fuzzy thing at the end of my tail! I'm coming!" She continued to spin around in circles, trying to catch that 'fuzzy thing at the end of her tail' until Thunder got really dizzy, and she fell to the ground.

Thunder watched the commotion from her half-asleep position in the center of the camp. "Yay! Congrats Sunkit! Oh, no, let me correct myself: Sunpaw! Yay Sunpaw!" She started running around in circles, chasing her tail again, being crazy like Thunder always was.

Dawnkit smiled lightly at the little family, but got no reply from Mothfur before she heard the call for the announcement. A smile was on her lips, because she knew it would be the introduction of the little kits or the new family.
"I Guess, that means I must go, I will tell you about it afterwards." "I am sure the entire clan will want to congratulate you on your kits later."
She purred as she turns and left the den. She headed where all the other cats were gathered, and sat down on her tail with it tucked quite tightly against her. A smile was on her face as she heard her own name, and a purr of pride rumbled through her .....at the mention of the kits.
Though that was where her enjoyment stopped ...as Sunkit became a paw that day. Dawnkit eyes showed her own disbelieve, and she looked down as a scowl crossed her face. She didn't want to ruin Sunpaw's moment, she didn't want to show her resentment ....even though she felt it heavily. She had fought with Sunpaw once on this matter, and it seemed that she was forced to ....realize that she would never be anything more than a kit here.
Sunnybreeze would die, and she would ....would ....she shook her head as she felt the heat there. She turned and fled while all the other cats were congratulating ...Sunpaw. She couldn't take this ....that knowledge that she would never be a paw, that Sunnybreeze's fate had taken it from her, or that she would become a paw, but never a medicine cat.
Her path had diverted as she went back to her little crevice underneath the medicine's cat den and snuggle deeply. She didn't want to see Sunkit's happy face, nor, have to live with the knowledge that they are the same age.
That her chosen path, was actually being barred by Starclan. For whom else could she blame for Sunnybreeze's fate, whom else could she blame for what was happening now, and she whimpered silently to herself in the comforting darkness.
Maybe, Starclan hated her, or ....she was never meant to be apart of the clan.
She never belonged here to begin with.
That made her tremble more, because, maybe if Sunnybreeze woke up ....she would confirm all of this. Maybe, that was why she slept for so long ...Starclan was telling her to get rid of her, how to get rid of her.
Dawnkit shivered in the darkness, and she shut her eyes to sound of further whispers.

[Tigerfang merely nodded her head in response to Blackthorn. She promptly got up and went over to Fallenpaw, her massive frame towering over the apprentice.]
"You. We're going training." she commanded, her light green eyes staring down at him intimidatingly.

Sunpaw looked around and noticed that Dawnkit wasn't there. It shouldn't have surprised her. She knew that the other kitten hated her.. but for some reason she thought that maybe when Dawnkit had seen she'd been ready to help her dispite their differences.. maybe she would have felt differently.. apparently not.

Thunder followed Amberpaw. She knew he wouldn't want to be woken up, so she went back to the center of the camp, looking for something to do. Thunder began drawing a distorted cat in the dirt.

Dawnkit lay in her hole, her tail tucked around her rear paws as she scrap at the dirt. As a kit, she didn't really have any responsibilities, and with so many bodies in the nursery den ...it had been too crowded as of before. Though she could imagine she would find room now with Sunkit no ...Sunpaw moving into the apprentice den, and she ...she would simply had to resound herself to her fate.
Her tail flicks from one side to the other in the darkness.
The normally shy kit had grown up quickly over the last day or so. She now wished to be a paw where just a couple of days prior she wouldn't have cared. She was sulking in her own way, and her tail flicks from one side to another as the thought that had seemed to echo in the darkness became more and more clear ....she didn't belong here.
This was the message that Starclan was sending her.
Her ears flicks and then lowered, she didn't want to leave Mothfur ...and even though she thought that Sunpaw was a waste of space ....she really wanted to stick around to try and make things better with her. But, Starclan ...was tugging her towards a different path, they had to be, or at least this was what she thought as she finally took a deep breath and stood up.
She would leave her clan. They didn't need her, and Starclan didn't want her here ...then Sunnybreeze will get better, and everything will be right here.
Dawnkit wished she could smile at this, but, there was a huge part of her that was afraid of the world outside of the clan. She had seen claws being using, and knew that she would have to feed and take care of herself out there. Unless ...unless she became a kitty pet, but, did Starclan look after Kitty pets?
Would that be something that Starclan wished for her to become? Or maybe, there was somewhere ...some clan that needed her more, she could see if any of the other nearby clans would take her in. As a kit, she could still ask for that, while as a paw ...she could never dream of switching. Maybe, that is why this happen so soon and during such a critical time. Though that would make her the enemy of everyone here, and she couldn't she knew ....she wouldn't want to hurt them. As a medicine cat she knew that she wouldn't, but, she would be healing those that do.
She would miss them.
Dawnkit tries to a make it better in her mind as she slowly backs out of the hole. Despite her name, Dawnkit was the color of night with small brown patches ....of fur in the shape of circles underneath her eyes. Why she gained the name dawn was a mystery, but she had been old enough to know her name when she lost her family. Though she remembered nothing about them.
Maybe, it was time for her to find them again.
She knew no one would bother her. No one would every bother with her ...as she walks towards the exit of camp without fear of being stopped.
She would simply disappear ...just like she had appeared here in the first place. She would find her own place in this world.

Finally Sunpaw just couldnt help herself. She went to sniff out Dawnkit. She didn't know what she'd say when she found her but she just wanted to find her. She traced her sent back to the medicine cat's den but she couldn't find her. Confused she continued searching. Still nothing. Clearly something was wrong.
