Talk? Casper rose an eyebrow at that one. No one ever just wanted to talk to him. It was always like work related, or "Grandma dinner is in the fridge." "What?" "Dinner is in the fridge." "What!?"
"I SAID DINNER IS IN THE FIRDGE!" "Oh okay."
"Well...what would you want to talk about?" He asked sort of curious as to what she had in mind...if she had anything in mind.

Luna shrugged, "Life, death, vampires, hunters, love, hate." she chuckled "I don't know. Anything, I could ask you what it was like to be a hunter. You could want to know about being a vampire. There are endless topics of conversation." an idea struck her.
"What about twenty questions?" she offered.

Yeah, the possibilities were endless when she put it that way.
"Uh, okay. You can ask me first." He thought he'd start off with an answer, because it didn't really require him to think....and he was feeling lazy.
Casper sat down at the table and waited for a question.

Luna smiled and sat down across from him. Hmmmm what to ask. What was a good question to start off with?

At least this was more interesting than a board game. "Hmmm.... I don't know, how about something easy. What's your favorite color?" she sounded like a kid and she was aware of that. But she didn't really know what to ask.

Uh, hmmmm, what was his favorite color?
"Green, no blue!" He said quickly after getting really intense for some reason though this was a competitive game.
Casper calmed after that and nodded. "Yeah, it's not very original, but I like blue."
He looked at her. "My turn? Um, what's, what's your favorite animal?"
Wow these were really trivial questions.

Luna perked right up "Penguins!" Oh how she loved penguins, they were so cute and monochromatic!! Especially the African penguins.
"Hmmm....oh, what's your favorite sport?" so they would start out with silly little questions, no big deal.

For some reason, he expected penguins.
"Favorite sport?" He said to himself. "I don't really play sports...um, if I had to pick I guess I'd say, wow I really...um, I guess, paddle ball."
No not football, not soccer, paddle ball. Why, because you get so ******** intense!
"Um, oh got one. What's your favorite activity?"

Luna tilted her head to the side. Paddle ball? Huh... she would have figured hockey or something like that.
Now, what was her favorite activity? Hmm... she really liked learning new things... which was why she went into research like she did "Learning, it makes me sound like a nerd but I really like learning stuff."
She thought about her question for him. "What.... hmmm...." she thought "Oh, who is your favorite actor?"

"Learning? That's an interesting one, okay!" Moving right along.
"Um, it could be...well I really like three people. I like Mike Myers cuz he's funny as hell, I like Johnny Depp, because who doesn't, and I really like Heath Ledger because he's the coolest ******** Joker I've ever seen."
Well there you had it!
"Okay...I don't want to ask another stupid question though." Hmm what to ask? "Ready this one's weird but I've been asked this so many times as a training thing. If you were in a burning building, and everyone you ever knew, that's still alive was in that building and couldn't get out without your help, who's the one person that you would save?"
That was actually a pretty difficult question.

Luna didn't think about if for a moment. "My daughter." she said immediately, then she realized he had said out of people who were still alive... which made it a really difficult question. But, it was made simpler by the fact that she knew virtually no one. There were he co-workers, who she really didn't interact with much. There was her team, only two of whom she knew out of work. And then there was Casper. She scrunched up her nose and thought about it, it was a dead tie between Casper and Salem. Salem because she had known him for so long and was still sort of friends with him, Casper because she just liked the guy. Which probably had something to do with her taking him in off the streets but whatever..... "Sorry, out of the people who are still alive it would probably be you... or Salem...." she bit her lip, still not able to really decide.

HELLO! Daughter, did he hear? Well he hadn't expected that one! Casper's shock only worsened as he realized....Luna's daughter was dead. What the ********? Well that made sense seeing as Luna was a vampire but what?
"Wait, you had a daughter? I mean, I'm so sorry." He said more concerned now. He knew what it was like losing family and it really sucked. So ******** 20 questions here was a meaningful conversation.
"Do you, want to talk about her?" Casper's grandmother used to like talking about their family to cope, and even if Casper personally liked to leave things with a knife in them and call them dead, he always participated in the reminiscing.

Luna looked down at the table and sighed, "She was the most beautiful little girl..." she said softly, looking up at Casper. "She had her daddies hazel eyes." she said with a small laugh, although it was pretty obvious that even 150 years later Luna's heart still ached for her little girl. She leaned back in her chair and closed her eyes. "I still remember the day she was born, it was stormy and just disgusting all together, but when they put her in my arms it was like the sun came out." she said opening her eyes and looking at Casper with a small sad smile.

"That's really beautiful, you know." He said leaning on his elbows over the table. "I'm sure you were a great mother." He said, his lips twitching a little. "I mean I'm not a father, I've never even had a pregnancy scare, so I have no idea what you're feeling or felt, but, I'm sure she's in heaven, and I'm sure she's proud of you."
So Casper really could be nice.
"If you want," He said smiling, the first smile he had ever shown Luna actually, "you can ask me some really personal question to get even."

Luna shook her head and smiled. "I'm not someone who tries to get even Casper." yeah, if that was the case, her Sire would have been dead long ago. She shrugged her shoulders. She could go on forever about her daughter, about her life as a human, but mostly about her daughter. "I have a picture of her if you want to see it." she offered, he would have been the first person other than Luna to see it since she had become a vampire.

Well what was he going to say? 'No I don't want to see the picture of the dead daughter you still obviously love with all your heart.'? That wouldn't sit well with anyone!
Wow this was so weird. Luna looked pretty young too...but then again she was probably in her twenties...oh, wait, she was a vampire and when she was human they probably got married eaarrrlllyyyy...as opposed to the people of today who liked to fool around and never call back.
