Edit: On a semi-related note, I got myself a copy of the Bhagavad Gita tonight. Link to wikipedia article here. Can't wait to read it, it looks interesting. you must be excited like I am to have gotten my Buckland books. anyways I dunno if Lilith would be good for Shiva, since the snakes are kinda like ego, and Lilith is a snake handler, so it's like Lilith would be handling his ego.

Well they represent the ego in the sense that the ego is easily used for a variety of things once it is mastered. And then there is the more "Eastern" view of ego as well. Ego here in the West is typically seen as a bad thing, but (at least in some Eastern doctrines) there is ego and false ego. Ego helps us to filter that which surrounds us, tells us what we find pleasurable and generally aids in the development of self. Whereas false ego is what is commonly viewed as ego here; something swollen with pride, easily hurt, driven by a need to defend itself.

Happy effin' ground hog day.
(damn thing, seeing it's shadow again! I'm ready for warmer weathers!)
Edit: But apparently a different groundhog did not see it's shadow.. so which will it be, an early spring or more winter!?

My bf's theory about the groundhog named Phil that saw it's shadow is that he (Phil) doesn't like men in tophats, and did it to spite the tophat wearing folk.

phil probably had a traumatic tophat experience as a child, and leads to an aversion to them today! the story makes sense now!! rofl

Rub it in, Jess. I miss looking out the window to see green hills, now I look out the window and see pine trees.....and hell I can't even see the mountains covered in snow (or the water cuz it's foggy and I live couple of blocks away too.) crying

well it's funny here, its been semi dry (cept the mountains is all snowy) it's dry because its rainy in California, so Dsay, Vixen and Del are all stuck in an El Nino rain thingy, while im dry in unusually warm winter. so actually I can rub it in. MUAHAHAAAa
