 Fortune knocks but once,
Is it...is this a jutsu of some kind? or a curse?! I'm scared...wait...why should I be scared of my Sensei??! Aoi thought still confused, and she clenched the scrolls that the kage had given to her earlier.Still, she was unsure.This is Coren, I'm 100% sure.....but the thing that he'd done to himself...it's like 20%......
but misfortune has much more patience

Coren just grinned, baring his fangs to the lil kids. He knew why they were apprehensive of him now. It tends to happen to him alot, the whole half monkey thing."What...? Aye got sumthin on my face?" Coren felt the hair on his face, the thick goatee of brown fur before looking faked shock,"Oh this! Yeah, was brilliant. Comes wit bein a sage. Now.... I'm here to help to finish up the teachin of you little kiddies before I gotta run off and do sage-y tings." Her rubbed his hands together and clapped them,"SO! What have ya'll been learnin?"

"The basics." Ken said, grinning. This man could become his friend, he realized. Quite funny, and a hilarious accent.
He made a note to stay on this Coren's good side.

Coren seemed to close the gap between himself and the boy instantly. Coren's nose was smashed into Ken's as he looked down into the boy's eyes."The Basics? The basics aren't good enough boy-o. I've seen some thins in the Mist village that would cause a god to drop his load. We gotta be ready!" He flipped backwards, landing on his back. He poured himself a drink from a glass that came from no where. After he took his gulps,"So... like I said. Emhere to make sure ya'll don't die when the shite hits the fan in the Cloud."
Coren looked around at the various students,"I want each of ya ta tell me what your going ta be needin to complete the gennin training. Then After those we'll start with the fun stuff.

"Well, what do you expect?" Ken asked. "You think they teach us how to kill, fresh out of the Academy? I had to get my Dad to teach me how to properly use weapons." he said, not intimidated at all by Coren's antics.
"Something about learning three jutsus, isn't it?" he asked.

"Like I said, the basics. A clone, static strings, and that one that makes your skin glow. Name slips my mind at the moment." Ken said, showing him the handsigns, minus the words, to show the one he was talking about.
"And sword-fighting, but I don't think that counts."

(OH! Know we will not treat that as any special sort of taijutsu style. We do have many other forms of sword play. Infact I could teach you one ya might like.)
Coren stared blankly at him,"Wait... you don't know substitution and transformation? Whats wrong with the kage these days...." Coren just sighed,"Oh well... Now I figure you know the lightning clone, but it is also important to understand the basic clone jutsu." Coren demonstrated for Ken the basic clone, transformation and substitution jutsus. "Now you give em a go."
(Just write one post each saying what you did to learn them. or three paragraphs, one post. I'm a teaching ninja so my students learn super fast)

Sosay listened as Ken explained what he knew already, when he finished at Coren was done interrogating him she spoke up. "I'm a chuunin and know quite a few of the fire elemental jutsu's sir." She placed a hand on her hip and stared him in the eye's.

Coren rubbed the end of his chin with his tail."Hmmm... Sosay... Sosay.... nope! Dunno a Sosay, pleasure ta meet ya!"

"Hey, don't equate knowledge of jutsus to fighting skill." Ken said to Coren, running through the handseals for the basic clone. "For example, look at me." he said, casting the jutsu. The clone the appeared next to him was imperfect, but it worked, at least. He'd perfect it later. There were only a few small flaws to it.
"I know what, three, going on four jutsu now?" he asked, trying again. This time, the clone came out perfectly.
"Four. Anywho." he started on the seals for the transformation one. "I can still fight. Learned a lot about knife-fighting and swordfighting from my Dad." he said, attempting the jutsu, and transforming into his father...again imperfect, but nearly spot on.
"Helps in a pinch." he said, transforming back into himself.
