Ken had been delayed shortly by an annoying misstep with his leg. While the pneumatic piston was usually very good at keeping up to running, however, an entire cross-country run was not something it had been designed for. On a misstep that ended up having his foot over-extend past a fallen tree, the piston got stuck in an extended position, and it had taken a few minutes for him to reset it properly. Once it was, he was off again. The path was relatively simple, and he didn't even need the arrows carved in the trees.

Sora had been silent on the topic of the letter. Nagisa had already replied and the girl couldn't think of anything more to ask for in terms of an answer. She continued her small glances back at Haruka every few minutes while also realizing that Nagisa was also glancing back every now and then. One of these backwards glances resulted in yet another accident for the girl. This time, she somehow tripped on a smooth road. Although, she managed to return to standing straight before completely falling down. "So...," Sora began then paused. She didn't know what to say but she did know that she wanted to talk about something. The silence was just too oppressive for the girl. Sora felt around a bit for a usable topic, then she began feeling around inside her bag. Finally, she continued, "...anyone want a lollipop?" as she held out a lollipop in each hand, one to Haruka and another to Nagisa. There was a hesitant smile on the blonde genin's face as she offered the sweets, as if she wasn't sure how her offer would be taken.

Nagisa turned when she heard the girl scream and couldnt stop from giggling. She gladly took the lolipop that Sora offered and bowed her head in thanks. "Close call on your wording there. If you hadnt put in the effort to say 'big' my friends might have gotten upset." She nodded towards the cloud of bugs carrying Hibari. Nagisa was not like Sora, she enjoyed the short spreads of quiet. they allowed her to think about matters. Of course she didnt dislike when her friends talked, but there was a lot to think about. Kumo had become a shadow of it's prior self ever since the vanilla playboy left with his gang. As much as she hated to admit, Kumo had a lot more potential than was being taken advantage of...

Nagisa's movement slowed significantly as she passed through the Fire country. She could no longer trust the shadows to protect her, and she only made it halfway through the forest before she was forced to make camp.

Upon finding a suitable clearing just large enough for a tent Nagisa made camp and ate her dinner cold out of her sack. As she lay in her sleeping bag she began wondering about the wisdom of their alliances. Konoha should be our best ally, the fire country seperates lighting country from everyone else. Not only would they help as a buffer against enemies, but their position could make them a dangerous enemy. All trade outside lightning country goes through the fire country. An alliance with Konoha is our top priority. She mentally checked through the villages. More than two alliances could stretch Kumogakure thin in the event of a war.

Kirigakure is strong, and they are the second closest of the countries. However their history is troubling.

Iwagakure is much weaker than Kiri, but also the second farthest away.

Sunagakure would be useless if aid was needed quickly, especially without the fire country as an ally. and even then would be almost useless.

Nagisa bit her lip. closing an alliance was a dangerous move, it would make anyone suspicious. Not only that, but Konoha had become somewhat of a wild card. She had no idea that they could be trusted. It would be a risky alliance at best. If that was not an option, she would need to build direct trade routes to her allies, especially Kirigakure. Nagisa felt a strong urge to escape the fire country. The air seemed tainted somehow. However she needed rest. instead, a swarm of insects escaped the tent, and built a hidden array around the campsite. If anyone came anywhere within 50 feet, she would know about it. and with that comfort, she was finally able to sleep. She would do what she could to learn of Konoha. Perhaps the Mizukage knew something.

Description: This jutsu requires chakra to use, plus an extra 1 chakra cost per turn. The Aburame sends his/her bugs around them creating a wide grid. The bugs are connected by a very thin thread of chakra which can be used to send information. This allows the bug user to search an area, or watch a base camp for any disturbances. This would allow for any important information to be known immediately to the user, instead of waiting for the bugs to deliver information directly. The information sent, is similar to something poking your arm. You can tell how big it is, how hard and fast it poked you, and the general area. You don't know what it is though, until you look. The bugs are sending only information of unusual behavior. They will not tell you about trees if you are in a forest.(or people in a crowd) This includes objects that are dangerous, but still fit in. The snake hiding in the bush beside you, isnt something your bugs will tell you about. you have to wait till it bites you in the arse. The grid covers a radius of 30 feet in all directions at genin, and then grows 10 feet per rank. The bugs are spread thin so they are very difficult to notice.In the event of a very large amount of changes, the receiving ninja might have difficulty sorting it all out possibly leaving them vulnerable.

Finally Aoi dropped down, Manny was glad because his body burned from jumping from tree, to tree with the ice weights attached to his body, but, when he went to descend with the group he slipped up, and caught his foot on one of the branches, and fell. "s**t." he said right before slamming into the ground shoulder first and sliding through the earth for about a foot. Standing and brushing himself off, almost immediately he spoke again "Ow..." and then he was off to gather some food like he was asked. The landing certainly hurt, and jarred his body, but he still walked with the half awake, drooling look on his face like he rather be in bed, he was also dragging his feet as he walked into the forest and found a bush to hide in and wait for some animals to pass by.


After a few about twenty minutes of waiting two rabbits passed by, he then reached right under his shirt and grabbed two senbon. He sat watching, and waiting for the two bunny's to sit steal, and then they did, stopped to eat some green leafs, and that is when he struck. Flipping his wrist he shot the two senbos out, but only one hit, the other was about a inch to far to the left, but he still got one, and that was enough. He walked over to the rabbit, pulled the senbon out, cleaned it, and put in back in place, he then picked a few of the leaves the rabbits were eating and saw they were simple greens, figuring they couldn't hurt he pulled a couple of hand fulls stuffing them in his pockets. After that he grabbed his kill and began to clean it.

Digging a small hole for the "garbage" of the animal Manny took a kunai out, and split the stomach letting the innereds fall into the whole, once everything was out, and the majority of the blood was drained he slit a small section of the fur, around the foot, and then pulled the skin off in a swift movement. Skinned, and ready to cook Manny took his kill back to camp, along with the greens he gather. Once back at camp Manny slipped his grey pajama top off revealing his ninja garb. The Mesh shirt, several pockets for his equipment, three empty scroll carriers, and other odds and ends that he could use out in the field. One of which was a folded leather square which he took out, laid on the ground, and then set the skinned rabbit down. Laying the greens next to it Manny then took out some salt, and sage and started rubbing down the rabbit, then took half the greens and rubbed them along the body of the meal, and then stuffed it inside. "Food is ready." He said as he positioned the rabbit on a stick, to make it easier to cook evenly.
