Ever took a deep breath to steady herself before the nurse sprayed her and put her mug of hot chocolate onto a small table by the doctor's cushioned table. She braced herself for anything.
And it was a good thing she did. Normally, if she had had her meditation session that morning and she hadn't had so many stressful things happen around her, including almost dying, the potion wouldn't have had such a bad reaction. But she hadn't had her meditation session, so the potion knocked her for a loop.... And it stung like hell!
Ever shrieked loudly and threw her head back in pain as she gripped the sides of the cushioned table tightly. Her shriek, however, didn't sound normal. It actually sounded like 3 different voices screaming at once, and each of those voices had a different pitch.
Wind started to pick up in the hospital wing and Ever's eyes rolled back until just the whites were showing. Something had taken over her, and she calmly tilted her head back down and chanted in the same voice that had shrieked, the voice that seemed to actually be 3 voices at different pitches.
"Happy the man who keeps his heart pure from Guilt and crime! Him we avengers touch not; He treads the path of life secure from us. But woe! Woe! To him who has done the deed of secret murder. We, the fearful daughters of Night, Fasten ourselves upon his whole being. Thinks he by flight to escape us? We fly still faster in pursuit, Twine our snakes around his feet, And bring him to the ground, Unwearied we pursue; No pity checks our courage; Still on and on, to the end of life We give him no peace nor rest."
Ever then groaned softly and tilted her head back again. The wind subsided and her eyes went back to normal. When Ever brought her head back down and looked around at the startled faces around her, she knew what had happened.
She blushed a deep red and shook her head in embarrassment. "I... I'm so sorry... I'm so sorry!"
She then hopped off of the table and ran out of the hospital wing.

To say Arielle had been expecting this would be like saying that a chocolate bar expected to melt. It simply didn't happen; however, she was not as utterly shocked as she might have been ten or twenty years ago. It was shocking, but the second Evermore ran out, she was broken from her momentary and disgraceful stupor. Standing, she turned to Meimei. "I apologize, Meimei. I will be right back."
Meimei waved a hand dismissively, having also been brought out of her surprise. "Go, go! I'll have your tea ready for when you get her back." As soon as Arielle was out the door, she muttered, "Never seen this spray react quite so..."
Robes swishing, Arielle called out for Evermore. "Evermore!" She could see the girl just ahead of her. "Evermore, stop!" She tried not to sound like she was ordering the girl to stop, but it was difficult to contain the Headmistress in her.

Akira had slammed her hands over her dog ears when Ever had started screaming, but had slowly lifted them away when the girl noticed that her best friend's eyes had rolled back and showed only white, plus, the creepy voices were very hard to miss.
She shivered, feeling the eerie wind blew around the room, the malicious, and the air of possession. She listened intensively to Evermore, or whoever was possessing her, not understand the riddle at all, but memorizing every word, just in case.
When the fury returned to normal, Akira let out the breath she didn't know she was holding and stood still for a moment, as if frozen, before shaking her head and running after the Headmistress and the runaway Fury.
"Wait up, Ever, Please!!!!"
God...Could today get ANY weirder???

{{Runaway Fury.... I like that! XD))
Ever heard the Headmistress call out to her first and then her best friend. She had already been slowing to a stop when she heard her Headmistress, and when Akira shouted to her after that, Ever was finally at a stop. Her back was still to them, however, and her shoulders were slumped in embarrassment.
When she turned around, her cheeks were bright red and her head was hung low. "I'm... I am so sorry, Headmistress. I never, ever would have reacted that way around you if I had any control over it. I didn't know it was coming... I was told it could happen, but it never has before, so I wasn't worried... But I'm still young and learning..."
She sighed and rubbed her temples when she realized how ridiculous she sounded. It was just that so many things had happened that her mind was a jumbled mess right now.
"Can we... would you mind if we go to your office, Headmistress?" She didn't want to talk about this in the school hallway around prying ears.

(( XP i try lol))
Relieved that Evermore had stopped running, Akira ran up to her and hugged her. She pulled away after a moment and nodded, then looked at the Headmistress.
This half demon was coming along and that was final.

Arielle frowned, concerned, and put an arm around Evermore. "Meine Tochter*, it is fine. I understand. We can go to my office." Turning to Akira, she held out her other arm. "Come, Akira. I will teleport us. It's quicker that way." She had a habit of teleporting wherever she needed to go, anyway, since it didn't take much energy at all. She also used a mental spell to send a note to Meimei that they were going to her office, so she shouldn't wait for them. The kindly nurse would probably bring the tea and hot chocolate to the office anyway. That's just how she was.

{{Aww! I like the Headmistress so much! biggrin You're doing a great job as her, Secret!}}
Ever had hugged Akira back and was so thankful that her best friend had taken the initiative to hug her. She was still her best friend and she wasn't running away after what she saw Ever do!
When they were teleported to the Headmistress's office, Ever nodded her thanks to the Headmistress and then sighed as she tried to compose her thoughts. She waited until Akira and the Headmistress were both seated before she began.
"I... What happened before... I wasn't possessed or anything. I don't want you thinking that. It wasn't the thing that attacked me that caused this, though I do believe that what happened at the lake plus everything else that has happened today coupled with the fact that I didn't get to finish my meditation today resulted in... that."
She waved her hand to the side to gesture to what happened before. How was she going to say this and not have them think she was crazy or scary? She looked up at her Headmistress finally.
"Headmistress, how much do you know about Furies?"

((I'm glad! biggrin ))
Arielle sat in her chair, leaning forward to face Evermore. Frowning, she wracked her brain to find any and all information on Furies that she may know. Shaking her head, she said, "Regretably, I know very little about Furies." She'd never learned much about them at all. She knew much more about fairies, nymphs, elves, and even demons than Furies.

Ever nodded. "I thought you might not. Don't think it's your fault you don't know much about Furies, Headmistress. My parents... well, the ones that came before me made it that way."
Ever took a deep breath to steady herself and then let it out slowly before she looked at her best friend and then at the Headmistress. Please let me stay. Don't make me go away. I love it here.
"Headmistress, Akira... I'm a Goddess..."

Arielle blinked. Once. Twice. She sighed. "That certainly changes things." But not, probably, as much as young Evermore was expecting. "Do you still wish to school here?"

Akira's ears twitched as the info sank in and she stared deeply into her best friends eyes. Nope, the Fury wasn't pulling anybody's leg.
A huge grin appeared on her face, when she was certain of this.
"Seriously??? That's...That's...Awesome!!! Well what do you know? My best friends a Fury Goddess!!!" she explaimed, grinning.
"That doesn't change anything between us, Ever, just in case your thinking i'm thinking your crazy or something...Which is something you'd think, knowing you!" she teased, wanting to reassure her nervous friend.
Heck, the Headmistress didn't take it badly either!

Ever immediatly looked down at the ground when the Headmistress said that what she had told both of them changed things. She didn't want to go! But she didn't want people scared of her, either. And she didn't want to make things harder for her Headmistress or her best friend.
When her friend hugged her, Ever laughed in relief, at what she said. At least she'd still have her best friend!
Ever nodded when the Headmistress asked her if she wanted to stay. "Of course I do, more than anything, Headmistress. I mean, at first it wasn't really my choice to come here. My parents created me so that I could come here. They never told me specifics. Gods hardly ever tell anyone anything. They like to give someone very little information and see what they will do with it. It's like a game. They even do it to their children. All I know is that I was sent here to keep an eye on something. What, I don't know, and I don't really care anymore. I just like it here and I want to stay. I don't want to hurt anyone, but I also don't know all that I'm capable of. I don't really know my Goddess side. I've been to Mt. Olympus a few times, but I still don't know much about my powers other than the simple ones that enact revenge against those who cause harm in anger."
Now that Ever was talking, she didn't want to stop. She was afraid that if she stopped and her Headmistress didn't know enough about Ever, about Furies, then she was most certainly gone, banished from Bai Ching.
"I'm only a 2nd Generation Fury. My parents are the Furies you've heard about in legends. I know I know, Furies are all female, so how can I have parents? Well, all of the Furies are my mother, and... and I know how weird this sounds, but my father is Night. I was created by the Furies at Night in the moonlight. I have always been this age. I was only 'born' a couple years ago before I came to Bai Ching. I mean, the Furies can create children at night easily because after all, we're chthonic deities. Even though we represent retribution, we also represent rebirth and regeneration. We're symbols of fertility, which most people don't know. My parents were around before the Gods themselves were! They were made from Night and the blood of Uranus when Cronus the Titan hurt his father Uranus! My parents have been around forever, but I haven't! I'm not completely like them, I don't think."
{{All information about Furies I've received from Wikipedia and other Greek and Roman mythology official sites.}}

Akira's eyes widened greatly at what her best friend said next; Evermore had never been a baby, infant, or even a pre-teen?? She had always been sixteen years old!!?? Born from the night???
"W-wow..." she mumbled, fascinated and unsure what to say.
After all, Akira had always thought being born from a full fledged Dog Demon and a Human was crazy enough, but Evermore definitely topped that one!
Shaking her head, she said louder, "So...Your on a mission, then? Like a guard?"

Arielle nodded. She stood and went to her bookshelf. Meimei had sent up the tea and hot chocolate (using a handy spell) while Evermore hat talked. "You can most definitely stay and continue to school here, and I will not prevent you from doing whatever it is you have come to do, so long as it does not prove harmful. Of course, I doubt that it shall." Coming back to her desk with an old, gilded tome of a book in her hand, she sat down and took a sip of the tea before opening the book to a bookmarked page.
Putting the ancient golden ribbon to the side, she glanced at the page then turned it to face Evermore. "I believe I know something of what you came here to do, but I am not allowed to speak of it unless there is an urgent need to. As such, I'm afraid I must leave you to figure it out of your own accord. However, I can tell you that there is a room somewhere in this school that has all the information on this that you should ever need. It is a temperamental room, though, and likes to move about, so I do not know where it is. It has been a very long time since anyone has known where the room is, as far as I am aware. I'm giving you permission to seek out and utilize this room, but be careful."
She pointed to a paragraph. "This speaks of the room. It hides from most people, with the exception of those who have been inside it and those seeking it with pure intentions. I myself have never been inside, and I have very little reason to find it." She did not mention that soon she would seek it herself, to find the answer to what had attacked Evermore and, hopefully, why. "If you can find it, you can use it. I know nothing more of it, though it would not surprise me if it either looked as if nothing had happened or if it is now the home to unwanted pests. It will be one or the other, but nothing in between, since it is, after all, a magical room. You must be careful when entering, to be sure that the latter is not the case."
