Nova's sword clashed with Rogue's and they pushed against eachother, neither giving in. They caught eachothers' eyes and Rogue saw the pain in Nova's. He was sending an apology through them as he pushed off of her and they circled eachother. "Roux....Don't make me do this." He said. She glared back fiercely. "You don't have a choice. I'm not backing down. You'll have to take me by force." The pain in his eyes was more evident. "Roux......I.....Can't....." He whispered, his sword arm lowering for a split second, when a hissing voice resounded in his head.
'Nova......Don't disappoint me......Like Egil.....'
Nova froze. "But...."
'Remember....The reason....Why you became Nova....In the first place.....'
Nova clenched his teeth, eyes squeezing shut, his hand tightening as the aura around him grew stronger. He looked up painfully and whispered one last word.

"Run...."

The flames from his sword curled around his arm, spreading to his other limbs. His eyes became pupil-less and a glowing red. His hair became a full out fire and his weapon began morphing into something else.
Rogue's eyes widened and grabbed Zoe and Terrion, pushing Eve and Striker in front of her and started running for the door. "GO!" She roared as Nova's transformation was almost complete.

As they ran, Eve took out her small dagger. It had been a long time since she had used it, but she had decided that this would be a good time to use it again. She closed her eyes and the blade turned black. She stopped to let the others go ahead.
"Don't worry. This will only take a minute. I'm making a barrier. It won't be a strong one because we do not have the time, but it will give us more time to escape! She lowered her gaze and smirked as she watched the black leave the tip of the blade and cover the walls behind them. She had always liked using that trick. She made a circular motion with her hand and put the dagger away. She ran to catch up with the others.
"I made another exit down the hall to the left. Just keep running!" She sigh with relief as she saw her first glimpse of twilight. "It'll be dark soon, but it's good to know we're almost out!"
How....dare...you...Eve!...You...will...pay...for...this!...

Rogue ran like she was being chased by the hounds of hell, but she felt her heart shattering into a million pieces. The tears ran down her face but she tried to brush them off impatiently. She hated seeing Nova like that, transforming against his will. She knew how painful it was. "Even if you are my enemy now, Nova......Don't die on me." She whispered.


Nova flexed his wrist as his transformation completed. He felt no pain, not in this form. He growled as he moved forwards, catching the scent of his quarry. He no longer remembered any names, only faces and scents. He bounded ahead, the scent growing stronger, until he reached a barrier. It was weak, hurriedly cast. He growled again, reaching out and swatting it with a claw, and it broke. He hurried on, roaring in anger. He didn't remember why he was angry. Had he been angry at his prey?? He couldn't think properly. Thinking made his head hurt. It was almost as if his master hadn't created him to think. He clutched at his head. It felt as if it was on fire, a million times more greater than his own power. Was he....Shifting back?? His human self was fighting back. His claws shrank into fingers and the flames around his body retracted back into a sword that fell by his side. He could hear now. His thoughts and memories came back. His sword disappeared as he fell to his knees. He pressed a hand to his head and fell back against the wall. He had been able to fight it off this time. Aun would be so angry at him. He had disappointed him, just like his brother.

Little...one...come back...Grow...train...become the guardian...you've...strived...to become... Terrion ignored the tempting offer and climbed onto Zoe. She was rejoicing in her heart. Elia had realized his error! He wasn't fully lost! But as she kept thinking about it, tears started to stream down her cheeks. He became tangled with Aun. He had made the fatal mistake. She scrubbed the tears from her dirty face. Suddenly, she realized that she hadn't had a shower or bath in a couple days now. Why think of that when there's a thing behind you? Her mind switched back to her problem with Elia. He will fight back as hard as possible, I know it, just to keep me safe. And he will try to distract Aun from his power sources. And at that, she smiled through the tears. Good old Elia was never dead, just burried under greed.

Elia rushed over to Nova. "Nova! Nova! Are you alright?" He glanced around and saw nobody. He hoped desperately that Nova didn't notice the slightly different key in his tone of voice. He had realized his mistake, and he was ready to die for Terrion and her friends. Aun cannot grasp me again. I will be strong, but deceptive.

Just before Ben saw them, he looked down in the snow. He sniffed it, and he changed back to human. He had smelled Zoe's tears in the snow. He fell, gasping. He couldnt breath, he felt as if someone was wringing his neck. He felt his own tears, but he held them back. "I-Im S-So Sor-Sorry Z-Zoe. I-I d-didnt wa-want t-to d-do t-this." He gasped, and the hands faded from his throat. He could hear them in the distance, and he could see Nova and Elia behind him. He wiped the tears from his face, and turned to them. "I..." His voice falltered. He gulped, and stood up straight. "I cant do this to Zoe anymore." He said, his voice croaked. "I cant hurt her anymore. You guys go ahead. Go get them." Ben said, sitting down in the snow saddly.

"Thanks. I dont need it though." Ben said, pushing the tissue away. "I feel like I just woke up though, dont you?" Ben asked, standing up. "We should hurry up, before Aun finds us out." Ben said, sniffing the air.

Zoe ran, Terrion on her back. "Where should we go Terr?" She asked, never taking her eyes off the lanbd in front of her. "Eve, can you see any place safe? If so, put Striker and Rogue on my back, then you lead." Zoe said. She looked behind her, and saw nothing but trees and snow.

"Hmmm... Have you ever flown?" Zoe asked, turning her head to see Terr's face. "I mean, on a bird?"

"Eve! Wait up!" Zoe shouted, letting Striker and Rogue get onto her back. After they were safely on, Zoe started shifting. "Hang on!" She screamed. She became a large hawk, just big enough for them to hang on. Then her form changed. She became the one thing that she hated. She became her dragon form, a cursed form. She was large, and black with red rings. Memories filled her head. She tried shaking them, but they wouldnt leave. It was back when Ben and Zoe where still children, with their parents. She was on her fathers back, giggling, while Ben sat on their mothers lap. He was asleep, while their mother read them a story. Her father stood behind her, Zoe on her back. There was a bang outside, and screams. "Run Mary, Take the children!" Her father screamed, giving the crying Zoe to ehr mother. Mary, their mother, grabbed Zoe and Ben, and ran out the back door of their small cottage. She had tears streaming down her face when she heard their father scream in pain. "Aun!" Her mother whispered, and ran. Finally they came to the woods, but they were too late. Aun was there waiting for them. "Give them to me." He said, and he stepped aside to reveal their father, dead. Ben screamed angrily, while Zoe hid her face and cried. Out of no where, an arrow appeared int heir mothers back. She screamed, and fell to the ground. More apearred in her back. Aun walked forward, and held out his hand. "Come with me kids." HE whispered. Zoe screamed, and grabbed Ben's hand. Ben ran, Zoe in his hand. Aun yelled something, and the scene faded. Zoe was flying, Eve just below her. Tears where streaming down her face. Another memeory played over. Zoe was nine, and Ben was too. They were hiding in small house in the woods. They heard a noise outside, and saw Aun with a dragon in his hands. A baby one. The second it saw Zoe and Ben, it flew over. Zoe flinched, and Ben stuck out his hand. It bit his finger, and dived for Zoe. She jumped, and stumlbed back, hitting her head on a rock. The dragon bit her arm, and Aun walked forward. "Come with me, and i will call him off." He said, but Ben stood inbetween Zoe and Aun. "No. You killed our parents." He said, his voice shaking. The dragon bit Zoe again, and she screamed. Aun took a step forward, and tried putting a hand on Ben's shoulder. Ben punched him in the stomach, amking him stumble back. Ben truned, and kicked the dragon away. He picked up the bleeding Zoe, and put her on his back. He ran, and didnt stop. Zoe shook her head, and kept flying.
