"..Ahem." Nobody responded. ".....Ahem!" Again, nobody looked. Rath signaled the trumpets to play. "May I have your attention please?" Everybody finally looked over toward the crew table. "...Thank you." Rath started. "As you know, we are here today, in celebration of our grand harvest. But we are also here today to celebrate new strides toward friendship with our neighbors on the plains. With us today is Chieftain Songhua, of Adliana. Before, the main dishes are served, I would just like to give some toasts."
Rath raised a glass of nomad tea in the air. "To our harvest! May it be plentiful and well nourishing. To Adliana and its people. May their lands continue to prosper. And lastly, to Learania. May its current peace continue." He looked around the room and paused a moment. "To us all!" He ended, bringing his glass to his lips, and taking a sip. "Now, bring out the-" He was interrupted by an odd guest. Gasps were heard, and chatter began to fill the room. Rath looked around at the guards and crew, but made sure to not lose sight of this unwelcome guest, who barged in. He could not tell who it was, for the person wore a mask. But, the intruder carried a sword, and it wore blood upon it. "...You there! What business do you have?" Rath called out. He rose his hand, ready to signal the guards to make the arrest.

"So you are finally back from whatever you did? Well...at least this is a calm time...I've been doing better since that last ordeal...meeting new people, and still working on my swordsmenship. Yet who are these people here?" Looking over at the ones...more towards FD though, since it wasn't everyday you saw someone like him.

Roy nodded slowly, hearing his mother's words of wanting his help to get her to somewhere she could sit. He took her searching hand into his as he looked around, searching for a table. There was an empty one not too far away, but something else had caught his attention. A large crowd had begun to form around some sort of commotion. Another guest of honor or something? He was curious to see what it was, but his mother's health was always first in any situation.
He reached into his pocket when his mother had closed her eyes and pulled out Darko. He told the little imp to go see what was going on. After an affirmative chirp from the creature, it had flown off towards the crowd. Its small size and ability to fly would keep it away from the crowd. They would surely panic if they saw the little guy. So it went high above everyone else and perched itself on one of the banasters, looking down.
"Alright Mother...I got you..." he told the dancer softly.
He held her hands delicately before he pulled her gently up to her feet. He slid one arm around her waist and pulled her arm around his shoulder so she would have a support. His other hand went up to cover her eyes, easing the strain the lights were putting on her.
"I've got you Mom...I've got you..." he reassured her.

"Thank you, Roy," she said softly, holding on to her son with the arm he had placed around his shoulders. She half wondered what the chirping had been, but she couldn't see due to the hand Roy had put over her eyes. For some reason, that was hurting more than helping.
As soon as she was seated, she surveyed the room. It had grown strangely quiet, even before Rath had started speaking. Something seemed . . . off.
"Roy," she said quietly, "my head still hurts." She gasped, head jerking around painfully so she could see him out of her uninjured eye. "This is no ordinary headache--something's wrong!"
"...You there! What business do you have?" Rath called out.
Ninian turned, wincing as her head throbbed. It wasn't too terribly bad yet, not like it had been in the past, more recently back in June, but still it throbbed. That throbbing did not bode well.
The person Rath shouted at wore a mask. And they were holding a sword. Ninian clutched Roy's hand, suddenly afraid.

No time to be lazy The journey is perfect The pace is so crazy The race is so worth it ◄AKIHI►◄ALIHI►◄AMARA► ————————————————————
Akihi blinked. "A-ah... o-okay." Akihi awkwardly waved for a few moments before allowing his hand to curl into a small fist, which he used to knock against his forehead a few times. Why didn't he go after Amara...? She was his niece, after all... "Too late now..." He muttered to himself, looking towards the entrance, where a strange woman with a mask, wings, and rapier appeared. When he did spot her, his eyes widened with surprise and he instinctively reached for his bag, where he knew his tome was.
... Except that he didn't have it with him. He was defenseless in every sense of the word. Akihi's eyes locked on the bloodied rapier, gulping slightly. Who was this person? Whose blood was that, staining that sword?
Would his blood join it?
Alihi tensed upon the appearance of the masked raven. Her hand rested against her rapier, twitching slightly with nervousness. She didn't want to fight if she had to, for Amara's sake, but she also felt slightly comforted by the feeling of the hilt in her hand. If she had to defend a life, she could. She scanned the crowd quickly, looking for the faces of her family. They had to be safe... They couldn't be hurt. She wouldn't accept it. She wouldn't... There's Akihi... but where's Amara?! The tactician's face paled slightly, scanning the crowd for a little ladybug with a hat that was way to big for her.
But she wasn't in the crowd. Alihi couldn't find her and panic began to simultaneously flood and paralyze her body. Her mind screamed "move", but her feet remained cemented to the spot. Amara... where are you?!
Amara, meanwhile, had decided to get some fresh air. She had looked around a few moments before spotting the doorway to the balcony, grinning widely as she skipped to it.
It was truly beautiful outside. She gasped softly, gazing up at the wide and darkening sky above her with amazement. There were so many stars! She couldn't even think to count them all. Her hand was reaching up to the sky, as if to grab a handful of them to keep, when she heard a voice behind her. Amara flinched and lowered her arm immediately, as if ashamed of what she was doing.
That feeling faded quickly, though, when she saw who it was. "Abel!" She grinned at him, unfazed by his comments. It was as if they went through one ear and out the other. She knew that her mother would worry if she knew; however, she didn't. Alihi was elsewhere, not with Amara! It didn't bug her at all, though. After all, even mommies needed time to themselves sometimes!
It's so nice here... how could anything bad happen?
The little girl looked at Abel for a few moments before looking up once more. "... Mm-hm."

The glass was gratefully accepted as Sophia brought it momentary to her lips and took a sip of the cool colorless liquid. Her throat had been feeling parched, so that the water came as a welcome refreshment. Together with Ephraim, her journey to the buffet table continued and in little time and no further interruptions they arrived. One of her hands already being occupied by the water and the other by her sleep staff, she carefully shifted the sleep staff to the crook of her arm before reaching to grab a cracker and popping it in her mouth. She chewed slowly, savory the combination of sweet and salty.
“Ah, well…” A slightly pinkish tinge appeared on her cheeks. “T-that is good to hear.” She distracted herself momentary by grabbing another cracker and popping that in her mouth. For some reason she felt rushed, and that feeling something was going to go wrong hit her again. It remained ignored for the time being though. “I just got back from helping out Blossom… with her dress… on Tibarn’s request.”
The sensation returned once again, but this time with reason. Sophia’s head whipped towards the entrance a moment before Vika entered, but when she did Sophia visibly paled. Distress appeared on her face as visions flashed before her eyes, making her body sway slightly in response to them. As suddenly as they had come, the visions of the future left her with only a slight knowledge of what was to come and overpowering feeling of dread.

(Reply to Lance and current happenings)Ed processed for a moment what the man had said, and then she laughed. She'd never heard people use that sort of accent before. Granted, her natural one was a little strange, but what Lance had just slipped was just funny. She didn't mind it one bit."I think dancing's fun," she remarked, bobbing her head and letting her gaze wander. "So I definitely enjoy it."She glanced back to the dancers as Lance made a remark on some move she had missed. Whatever it was, she was sure it had to have been spectacular. Human bodies weren't nearly as flexible as the naga's or hgi-val's. Ed nodded in presumptuous agreement and reached for another unusual fruit. She glanced a laguz in an...interesting outfit, squinted, took a bite of the fruit, then recognized that laguz for being the raven who'd taken that transformation crest from her.
Ed considered going over to pop a simple hello, but the other person seemed busy anyway. Instead, Ed got to focus on Rath speaking.
She nodded along with the speech, taking in what there was to be said. The girl was glad to be a member of this guild even if she wasn't all that active. She took another bite, reflecting on the image that Rath presented with the speech, tempted to toast with the others but only able to raise her half-eaten fruit in agreement. Ed had gone back to her business when something stopped them.
A stillness at the entrance prompted her to turn her head. She and Lance weren't that far from the door itself, so she could see a weapon glinting in the light of the braziers, and immediately she wondered why someone was here with a weapon. Ed didn't recognize the figure with the mask on, but something about the wings and the form gave her a feeling of nostalgia...
...Bad, bad nostalgia.

"Urgh! What was that?" Isadora muttered as she wiped the grease from her face. She didn't see it coming, but how was she to know that she would get hit? Whatever the problem was in the kitchen, it must be stop... Then Isadora remembered.
She had dropped the platter and bowl. Isadora looked around, hoping she didn't set it loose in the party. There was no platter and bowl. Only a dirty meatball. So that was what hit her. But figuring out what happened in the kitchen would have to wait. She had to find the creature.
She figured she must have dropped it in the kitchen. She had to get it before it caused trouble. But before she entered, she heard Rath shouted.
"What?" Isadora turned around, confused. She looked around to see who Rath was addressing. There, at the entrance, her eyes laid on the stranger wearing the mask.
"Oh, dear." Isadora muttered as she whipped her hand to her waist... Only to find that she bared no weapon. Cursed that she had left her weapons in her room, she went to the nearest guard, holding a lance with a sword at the hip.
"I'll take that." Isadora spoke as she drew the Iron Sword from the guard's hilt. If the stranger is planning to cause trouble, that person have the guards and crew to deal with.

The ballroom went silent. Too perfect. It would make her search that much easier. She wanted someone who wouldn't put up too much of a fight. Her head turned slowly from one side to the other, observing the room. There was a purple-robed mage she'd never seen before, a short girl in a red dress...her eyes focused on these and a few other partygoers as the ones least likely to put up a fight if she chose to take one. But...no. Her eyes found the one that to others was known as Ziaram, but to Vika he was merely a prime target. Ignoring Rath's call towards her, she quickly dashed across the room and had a rapier pointing at his throat. No, he couldn't be dead. She needed him alive.

Turning slowly, he only saw someone moving quickly at him...and placing a rapier to his throat...and to his dismay he left his weapons somewhere else. Great just my luck.

"No problem Mother." he said softly.
They had soon reached the table. The young lord made sure that his mother was sitting down first before he took a seat next to her. Though he didn't have a danger-sensing power like his mother, he could tell the air felt...charged. Like something was going to happen.
He then heard her tell him that her head still hurt. So it wasn't the light that was bothering her. He pulled his hand away from her face before she jerked her head around. He didn't need to be told twice. Danger was approaching.
And then he heard Rath's voice call out before he saw his mother wince. He gripped her hand tightly.
"It's ok Mother. I'm here. I won't let anything happen to you." he told her.
He then looked up and around, trying to find Darko so the imp could tell him what was going on.

They were having quite a small talk until it Ephraim noticed Sophia's attention avert to something else. He couldn't quite put his finger on it but as soon as the prince turned, a woman he did not know, black wings, red top, rapier in hand and..it was dripping in blood. Rath's shout to the person unknown seemed useless as the unknown figure stood there, not caring about anything in the room at all. She wanted blood..that was one thing Ephraim saw in those eyes.
He turned back to Sophia for a moment, only to see her waver. He caught, balancing her before Sophia decided to end up on the floor all together and turned his attention back to the raven girl, his arm still around Sophia. Few moments later, she made a move and that move was toward Ziaram. The man he was talking to before.

Charice finally pushed her way through the last of the crowd in time to see some shabbily dressed raven woman start dashing across the room. Partygoers shouted and shoved to get out of the way, but she didn't seem interested in them. No, she seemed more interested in THAT... guy... whoever he was. Taking advantage of the temporary parting of the sea of people, she followed in Vika's footsteps, arriving directly behind her, sword drawn. An assortment of guards had her surrounded. She was right behind the assailant. It'd be simple enough just to charge her and run her through--she'd never see it coming--but what about the man held at swordpoint? She motioned to the circle of guards to give the two some space. Don't get too close. Don't aggravate her. If we can get her to stand down without getting this man killed, that would be much better.
She would have said something, but it seemed more appropriate for the crew to do so rather than a commoner guard. She just stood in a fencing stance, glaring at Vika's exposed back.

Rath narrowed his eyes, as the intruder charged forward. He flung his arm forward, signaling for the guards to intercept the fiend, and place him or her under arrest. With the signal, the guards from all around the room rushed into action, toward the villain. However, they were ordered to halt. The intruder had taken a hostage. Rath scoffed under his breath, at this low act. Why barge in, only to take a bargaining piece? He motioned for the guards to surround the person, but gave no order to strike. He would not risk loss of life. "...Let him go." He commanded. "Even if you leave this building unharmed, you cannot escape." He waited a moment, but there was no reply. "Release him!" The guards held their weapons ready, pointed directly at the masked person. There was nowhere to run.. or so it seemed.

...Injured with pain and sadness, the you that cannot be healed Shoulder the burden of the past that cannot be erased; don't throw away your will to live...[ X ][ O ]Blossom[ O ][ X ] →Blossom looked back to the masked arrival, finally noticing something that it seemed Rath had spied long before she had. Is that a bloody sword in her hand? Blossom thought. She very suddenly felt vulnerable, small, and Blossom's free hand clutched at her bottle. What is even going on here? And who... wait...
Blossom took a step forward, studied for a second, and finally realized where she recognized a black-haired woman with, uhm, black raven wings. How did she keep looking over blatant details like that? Had that gold mask really been so important? "Is... that can't be... Vika?"
She was moving before Blossom realized that she had left her spot at the doorway. Blossom ran a few steps forward, hands on her bottle, and there was Vika. The point of her sword hovered just before his Adam's apple. Blossom could only watch as Charice and the guards surrounded Vika and her hostage; she had no weapon, and was powerless without one.
"...What are you doing...?" Blossom whispered.← You'd better forget everything. Remember. . . your different Life?XXX You'd better forget everything. Remember. . . though, we cannot returnXXXLike in times of warped memories, we can understand somedayXXX
