A Lone Druid walked into the grand place. He looked around. THere were so many people here he did not notice any of his old friends were in fact here. Canas smiled and wiped his monocle. This was going to be fun. He had finally retuerned from his long, solemn, soul search and now....He had come back home....

((Look who's finally BAAAACK?))

Rook stood at the entrance milling about many faces he did not know. his was a countenence of firm resolve and strength. He was unwavery, like an undestroyable wall. It was Here where he was told that most of the members of the group he was supposed to be contacting were going to be.

The movement had stopped. It seemed that the creature had stopped moving, but the paladin refused to lift the bowl up. Was the creature eating? Did it calm down? Or worse, did the creature die?

No, it couldn't be the last part. There was no way a creature would die for short few minutes. So it must be one or the other. As much as the paladin wanted to look inside to see if the creature calmed down or eating, she didn't want to let it loose.

It was already enough that there was some minor trouble going on. An odd boy tackling Roy and tried to start a fight. And a young woman screamed and left, leaving the glass shards on the man's face. Was it a love quarrel? However, she didn't want to cause a scene. Knowing Rath, she knew that the Nomad Trooper wanted his guest to have a pleasant party.

Curious if the creature was still alive, Isadora bent down and placed her ear on top of it. She heard a muffle. She listened carefully. Judging by the odd sound, it sounded like it was crying. Could it be that the creature was scare? Maybe it was scared of being trapped or by her appearance. Isadora frowned. She didn't mean to upset the creature, but how was she to know if she hadn't seen it?

Not wanting to upset the creature, but at the same time didn't want it to be on the loose, Isadora pried the bowl to small opening to let her arm slide inside. If the tactic was similar to horses, she had to let the creature know that she was not to be afraid. Moving her hand away from the lettuce and small varieties, she managed to feel the fur coat of the creature. Was it the front, back, or side? Isadora then began to pet.

"It's okay, little one. I'm not here to hurt you." Isadora talked calmly to the creature. She prayed that the creature didn't get scared, bit her, and tried to escape. She didn't want to cause trouble to anyone, especially to the Nomad Trooper and his honored guest.

"Mm-hm~!" Amara nodded energetically, the hat on her head nearly flinging off in the process. "They do, Aki!" She turned to Abel for a moment before looking up at Akihi. "He's like a daddy, but not really." She grinned brightly and innocently, letting go of Akihi's leg and standing near both of them.

"... Care for each other..." Akihi repeated softly, as if in disbelief. He really wasn't, though; from what he heard from Alihi, she really cared for Abel. And from the sound of what both Amara and Abel said, he shared a feeling that was similar. Akihi did get a bit suspicious when Abel's face grew red, but he didn't bother to question it. After all, he shouldn't be the one to hear those feelings; if anyone should, it was Alihi herself. "I-I see..." He mumbled under his breath inaudibly for a few moments before smiling ever-so-slightly at Abel. "I-I'm glad you do. Really. It's good for her..." Yes, even though he held an immense jealousy in his heart, he still cared for Alihi like a good sibling should. The mage turned to look down at Amara, but she had run off once more, her direction unknown.

User ImageDietrich yelped in pain as a glass snapped into about six pieces on his forehead. They weren't small enough to embed deep in his face, and most of them fell harmlessly enough to the floor, but one drew a long red line across his cheek, and he reached up, wincing, to find blood on his face. "Damn, ow. Don't throw things!" he yelled after her, wiping at his cheek again and scowling.

"But yeah," he said, grabbing another glass from a waiter and dipping in one finger before dabbing it at his cut and hissing. "Ah, stings... damn good." And he sipped it. "But yeah, see? I got no chance with a broad like that. I mean maybe the glass was a tic, but the runnin' out part probably wasn't." He looked up suddenly, turning around, and then got dizzy and stopped. "Whoa." He blinked a few times until he managed to focus on Ayra, then reached up to scratch his head. "Yeah, yeah, mom, I know, I'm drunk ag-- wait, Mom?" He reached up to rub his face, then hissed as his fingers passed over the large cut on his cheek. "Ah, damnit. You're... not mom. But you look like... the picture I remember... I..."

His eyes squinted closed as he struggled to remember, and then the painting in his house, the face, especially the hair, all came together.

"Wait, Granny Ayra?"

User ImageFrom the kitchen there came a sudden, resounding "WHAT!?"

It was enough for his daughter to pinpoint his location, and when she ran in and latched onto his leg, he fortunately did not drop the habañero pepper on her.

"... Hi, Vah. Daddy's having an argument with the crazy lady right now, go see if you can find Amara and he'll be right out," he said, turning to usher Vah out. "Oh, and tell your mother she and I need to have a Talk."

A serious talk.

Bozo stopped crying momentarily. The darkness suddenly got a bit illuminated, as a crack of light came up near the tabe edge. Bozo was filled with hope and happiness. Bozo can now escape!

...only for it to be replaced by a gloved hand.

Bozo wailed out of terror. The hand came closer and closer to Bozo, and Bozo covered Bozo's eyes with Bozo's ears, hunching down as if to get smaller. Then Bozo stopped breathing as the hand enveloped the top of Bozo's body. For a moment, Bozo just feared for Bozo's life. Now Bozo will die.

But Bozo did not die. Bozo actually felt pretty good. The hand was not hitting Bozo, it was carefully petting Bozo. Bozo stood up for a moment, and breathed a sigh of relief. She could hear something muzzled from outside the bowl. Who was the humie talking to?

...then Bozo was hit by another revelation. Bozo was gonna get eaten. And the hand was massaging Bozo to tenderize the meat. That's why Bozo was thrown into this bowl. Bozo was going to become a Bozo salad! With tomatoes!

Bozo's wailing began again, only this time louder than before.

Isadora jumped when she heard a cry became louder. She even nearly flipped the bowl when she heard it. Fearing that the creature would escape, she clasped again on the bowl.

What to do? What to do? Isadora thought panicky. This was not what the paladin had in mind. The creature was calmed down when she petted it. Why did it cried again?

There was only one option for her to do: remove it from the party. Isadora looked around. She saw a platter nearly empty nearby. The paladin grabbed the platter and held it against the table edge. She then dragged the bowl onto the platter and began to carry it, one hand holding the platter and the other over the bowl. Although the creature was crying, its cried was muffled by the bowl.

The paladin looked around for the nearest exit. There was the main entrance, but people were coming and going through the door. That would be too suspicious. She could take it to the window, but she didn't want to hurt the poor creature either.

Suddenly, she heard a voice. Isadora turned around and saw one of the servants, asking if Isadora needed the platter to be taken away. The paladin declined. If she handed over, the servant might find the creature and freak out. Or worse, trying to set it free and let it run loose in the party.

"You go ahead and serve the drinks to the guests. I'll take it to the kitchen." Isadora fibbed. She hoped that the servant would take it. The servant cocked an eyebrow, but agreed and decided to accompany the paladin. Isadora smiled weakly. This was not what she had in mind as she followed the servant to the kitchen.

Sue was overjoyed to see that FD and Nils were planning for their future, sure. However, the fact that they were to be married was just so... odd to her. It had nothing to do with them being dragons, or them being male, but just the fact that....

She couldn't imagine them being 'together' in such a way, not when they were all Host Club members. Now that she put thought to it... her and Rei were the only ones that weren't tying a knot with someone.

Rei. Where was he, he's late again!

And the Nomad Trooper remembered all too well what happened the last time her druid comrade was 'late.' He was really captured. "Um... Nils... General Roy, Ninian... FD." She looked between the congregation of dragons and their family one at a time. "Have you seen where Rei is? I hope he isn't holed up in his study again. This time, we have to get him out." It was true in two senses, but mainly the one that said the Druid might be very well up to no good if left to his own devices.

~~~~~~
Again, Leon was thinking of the previous records he'd kept throughout the years. Every once in a while, he'd actually read what he wrote and reflect upon it. His records of Sentria were... interesting to say the least. "Sentria's an easy place t' live, Charice..." He shuddered at what he found when he re-read the file.
"There be 'zerkers there too... an' thieves tha' go on san' dune hunts for treasure. 'S more crooked in tha' country than a killin' edge. 'S a mir'cle ya made it outta there in th' straight n' narrow." Leon told his pegasus riding comrade, while also making sure Annis heard. He was saying the facts a little more blunt now, due to taking in some of the early shots of rum earlier.
The young lord grinned widely. This felt just a little like deja-vu, when he had to ask Uncle if it was ok for him to call him Uncle. It was allowed, but only if Uncle could call him Nephew.
"Haha! It's a deal Uncle FD." he said cheerfully.
Woo~ He had another person to call Uncle now! So that made...three? (if he included Uncle Canas, who wasn't exactly a blood relative, but had spent enough time at the Pherae castle to be considered family). Ahh...happy moments between family.
FD's next words broke him out of his thoughts. He blinked, and his smile faded away a little. Right...now that FD was part of the family, he had a right to know why the young lord was rarely around outside of these special events.
"I'm searching for my Father, Lord Eliwood. It's been almost a full year since I've started looking for him in Learania, and many more back in Elibe. I don't want to admit he's dead. I know he's alive out there somewhere. So I'll keep looking until I find him, or some proof he's here." he said softly.
After a small pause, he shook his head, then looked up at his Uncles.
"Before the festivities end, I'll leave a friend in your care. He'll be able to find me, no matter where I am. So once you have the date set up for the wedding, just give him a note with the date and I'll be there for the wedding. That ok with you guys?" he asked.
He heard someone approach him from behind (despite all the commotion from the party). Yes...his senses had become that much sharper. He looked over his shoulder and grinned.
"Hey Ziaram. How goes things?" he asked cheerfully.
This was a party, after all. He could worry later. Right now, he just cast aside all his worries. And...just his luck. Sue just had to bring up a person that seemed to only cause worry for everyone in FEF.
"I think Rei's got enough sense not to be captured two events in a row Sue. He's probably just holed up in the study again. If he doesn't show up before the party ends, we can go look for him and smack some sense into him. Seriously...he's becoming a lot like Uncle Canas..." he said.
His eyes then caught a familiar flash of purple hair. And there was no mistaking that monocle. He smiled gently.
"Speak of the devil, there's Canas."
Aw crock. Now he had made her feel uncomfortable. He sighed as he took a sip from the drink (non-alcoholic, of course) he had just snagged from a tray. "I didn't think you were condescending, or trying to be, I just meant that anyone less tolerant than me could've gotten upset. Look, I had a rough night, so I'm overly touchy, and come across more grumpy than I should. This is party night, so it's not the time to be a sod to people. So don't sweat it, I'm sorry for snapping like that."
Lance placed his still cold drink down on the table closest to them, just to make sure his body heat didn't warm up the beverage. He breathed out heavily, as one would do after drinking something cold.
"So you fancy to dance then, love?" He immediately regretted using his regional kind of speech, so he cleared his throat and spoke up again. "Err, I mean, it doesn't really matter if you know how to dance, just if you like to. What matters is the feeling you put into dancing, and if you enjoy doing it. Of course..."
Lance looked back to Ganny and the red-head...he really needed to get her name so he could stop using that to describe her. Either way, as he looked, they just pulled off some intricate move that just wasn't possible for err, regular humanoid bodies. "Ooouh. I don't think I could've pulled that one off...anyway, I'd just be outclassed by the two of them, so I'd just feel inferior going in. I think. Who knows? Maybe they'll stop sometime during the night." Lance finished, as he smiled faintly back at Ed.
Please don't kill Bozo please don't kill Bozo---
Bozo kept repeating it inside Bozo's head like a...a...a mantra! Master once said that if someone really felt like something was going one way, but that someone wanted it to go the other, they would repeat that thing over and over hoping it would happen! Master said people could do it out of many reasons, but whatever those reasons were, Bozo did it out of fear. Bozo did not want to become a Bozo salad with tomatoes! Bozo wanted to ride Master's head again, like Bozo used to, as Master walked, talked, ran, and then cuddle next to Master when things got dark or there was thunder or anything else that was real scary!
And now Bozo in bowl on tray was moving! Bozo felt the vibrations with each step someone took. Where were they taking Bozo? Anything but the kitchen.
Bozo was now lying flat again, just covering Bozo's eyes with Bozo's big ears, hoping everything would work out. Bozo loved food, but Bozo didn't want to become food! Bozo wanted treats, not tricks!
Melethia seemed to enjoy the atmosphere a little bit. Though her stomach started to growl a bit. It seemed she was hungry. Now fruit and veggies were good and all but Melethia wanted some meat. She noticed Isadora walking to the kitchen. Maybe she would know where some meat was.
"Isadora!" She called out, "Isadora! I've got something to ask you!" She ran as best as she could in her dress to the knight.
Annis nodded once. The laguz turned her eyes to the side as an unfamiliar pink-haired woman ran right out of the room, previously having shrieked and slammed a cup into the face of the man near her. She seemed to be getting taken care of, however; a blonde woman in a fantasy-esque dress and an unfamiliar redhead were rushing after her. Annis turned her eyes back to Charice and nodded.
"So you won't get burned, right... I should have worked that out myself," Annis responded to show that she really had been listening. "And it all worked out for you, which is good. I'd like to say I miss my own home country, but... I'd kind of be lying if I did."
She glanced back to the side. Lance was chatting with the wolf girl Annis had lent the Tervingi Crest to before--the girl's name escaped her. Annis folded her arms across her bust again and looked back at Charice, unconsciously clearing her throat. Fine hairs were rising on her arms, goosebumps arising on her exposed flesh. "Is it me, or did the room get colder...?" she wondered sheepishly, managing a laugh.
As Isadora was following the servant to the kitchen, she tried to formulate a plan. Going through the kitchen wouldn't make her suspicious, since she was carrying a bowl and tray. And since there was a back door from the kitchen to the outdoor, it would be perfect for her to release the creature. She could just pretend that she was taking the garbage out of the kitchen, pretending that Vaida had mixed her meatballs with it.
The paladin knew very well how people would tried to avoid the Bern General's meatballs. After all, no one but Vaida knew what was in it. All she had to do was walked in casually, headed to the back door, and released it. So far, so good. She hoped that Tibarn wasn't in the kitchen or else he may get suspicious of her. She knew very well how talented the cook was.
Suddenly, she heard someone calling her name. Oh, dear... Isadora thought panicky as she turned her head and saw Melethia heading in her direction.
Although she had no idea what was it that the Dragoness needed of her assistance, Isadora hoped that it had nothing related to what she was holding. She didn't want to cause a problem in the scene. She would be shot by the Nomad Trooper if it happened.
Praying that the question had nothing to do in her hands, she smiled sweetly and said. "Yes, what can I help you?"
Another that she prayed was that she hoped the creature stayed still and quiet. She had no idea how to explain if it happened.
~Ninian~
Ninian smiled at Sue. "Well, I don't know about that. It is Nils and FD's decision as to who they wish to include in the bridal party."
Ninian was happy for her brother, happy that he had found happiness here amidst all of the tragedy. Part of her was a little hurt that Nils saw no problem in falling in love with FD and yet he had been so opposed to her falling in love with--with a human. Multiple times he had warned her not to do so, simply because of what they were. But now . . . now because of what he was, Nils had been able to find happiness with FD. Part of her was hurt at the double standard, but the larger part was happy for Nils. So she would say nothing and simply be happy for him. After all, he deserved it after everything he had been through.
She was only a little surprised a date had yet to be set, but what with her missing and the chaos from June, things must have simply been to crazy to think about setting a date, let alone planning. Not that her missing would have anything to do with impeding the progress, though she really wanted to be at the wedding. Nils was her brother, after all.
But what was this? Roy was going on a quest? She had really missed a lot while she was . . . away. But why would Roy need to--
"I'm searching for my Father, Lord Eliwood."
Oh.
She should have been prepared for the stabbing sensation. She should have known what those words would do to her. But her son had caught her off guard, and the pain felt like the same burning, clentching, searing sensation that had her clutching her heart and nearly collapsing on the floor. But it wasn't over yet.
"I don't want to admit he's dead."
Dead? E-Eliwood, d-dead? No, that can't be! He's alive, I know it! He has to be! H-he can't be dead! No!
She couldn't stop the tears from falling. Vaguely, she heard something about Canas having arrived. Part of her remembered she had been meaning to ask him something, but that thought was quickly forgotten, crushed by the sudden weight on her chest. Arms squeezed together, hands over her heart as she began to fold in on herself. Her knees gave out, causing her to half fall, half sink to the floor, landing hard on her knees. The fresh wave of pain brought another stream of tears.
Amidst it all, her head began a dull throb she did not notice.
Moments later, Mihira awakened again. She rose herself up slowly, and looked around. Heath was nowhere in sight. She couldn't help but be a little disappointed. She thought back to the dream she had. She couldn't help but feel her face blush. She thought about how he got closer, and closer, and then... he turned into a- She looked down to her side, and saw a chocolate cake. "Eeek!" She had forgotten what made her wake up from that dream in the first place.
When she looked again, she saw a note on it. It was from Heath! She read it and held it close to her chest. "Oh... Sir Heath... thank you."
Meanwhile, chaos ensured in the kitchen, with calamity so intense, that I have no idea how to post it, so use your freaking imagination, bitches.
