"Ohh, I see," she frowned at her ankle. "Well, did you guys still win?" She grinned unkowningly about dance competitions. Not negleting Foenix's first question, Fae begun to push her door open until she felt a tug at her pants. She looked down at the little girl, Nahda, whom she met the other day. "Oh, Twizzy's inside. He's been pestering me all week when you would be able to come over," she chuckled. Just then she heard another person walk up. A...another guy?! He must be a new guardian! "Oh no, it's quite alright," she absently murmured. As if she knew right were the new artifacts would be, she stared at his sack. "Erm, my name is Fae," she introduced herself. It seemed she was going to have more than one person over, which was fine with her.
Pueblo got dizzy watching the hyper horse gallope around her. Screeching in irritation, she looked up to someone new staring at her. Shying away, her ears folded to her head and her tail slightly curled between her legs. She backed up a few paces before her ears rose a little, staring at the newcomer and listened.

Foenix grinned proudly at Fae. "Well, we did pretty well. I placed 3rd out of thirty-something couples in the International Standard Section, 3rd again in the American Rhythm section, and 2nd in the American Smooth. Of course, in the two American sections, I was dancing at the Advanced level, so there were only about five couples in all." She stopped and smiled sheepishly. "It's all pretty involved and complicated."
She smiled over at the newcomer. "Oh, no prob. The more the merrier! You must be the latest addition to our little group. I'm Foenix, and my Aerandir charge is Nehanda, the little swan/horse-ish one there."
Nehanda stopped abruptly at Peublo's actions. She looked behind her, and merped upon seeing a new face. Or, at least, a new pair of shoes and legs. Straining her long neck, she could make out the man's face. He looed friendly enough, so she trotted around until she stood between him and Pueblo.
Nahda giggled and rushed up onto the porch and into the house without so much as a by-your-leave from Fae. "Twizzy? Twizzy! Come out and play with me!" the rude little Tahnee yelled cheerfully.

Ieyasu grinned suddenly as the two introduced themselves. At least they didn't seem bothered by his intrusion. "The name's Ieyasu. I'm not long here on the island - got here a few days ago." He gave a nod when Foenix mentioned Nehanda. "So these little guys are Aerandir. I wondered.
The grin returned to his face as he watched them. The swan-headed one, Nehanda, didn't seem half as shy as Pueblo. They were different in more than just looks. "They're amazing."
His attention was suddenly distracted with a few thumps and a shout from the porch. He looked up again, seeing the little kid bouncing about energetically by the doorway. This part of the village at least, had undergone an abrupt change in noise level.

Foenix sighed and shook her head. "I'm not entirely sure that Nahda understands the concepts of "indoor voices." She knows that if she yells inside our house, Kylara will physically pick her up and toss her out! But that rule doesn't exactly stick when Kylara isn't here."
Nehanda was quite happy to trot forward and allow Ieyasu to observe her. she craned her head back over her shoulder, as if inviting Pueblo to come and meet him.
Nahda, of course, continued to yell for Twizzler.

Fae clapped her hands. "Ooo, very good! Not first place, but with each score added and curved, you might as well get a blue ribbon!" Such a nerd she was! "I can't dance to save my life." Just then, she heard Nahda run up her porch and into her house. Grumacing she winced at the thought of dirty sandals all over her house. She turned back to Ieyasu. "Welcome to Cetalu, then. I guess I'm not the newbie anymore," she grinned. "Well, why don't we all come inside?" She offered to the both of them.
Pueblo studied Nehanda; she was so trusting around the man. Well, if she could approch him, so could she! Ruffling her throat feathers, she stepped up with her small paws and sat down in front on the new man. "Peep!" She cried out loudly, cocking her head.
"Aerandir are really neat," Fae grinned, intrigued by his astonishment. She remembered when she first saw a gryphon; she was just like him, and probably still was. "Oh, I'm sorry," she blushed. "That's Pueblo- the owl/wolf," she smiled, then coaxed everyone inside.

"Heh, newbie. That's one way of putting it, I guess." Ieyasu grinned goodnaturedly before looking down at his feet. Both Nehanda and Pueblo were there now. The two Aerandir made him smile, the way that they acted. They looked like they were the ones taking a good look at him now. Fair enough.
He wondered for an instant who Kylara was. Another of the guardians, perhaps. But the thought didn't stay with him for long. Before he knew it, he was being ushered inside. The welcomes were certainly friendly here. "Eh, if you're sure.. thank you."

Foenix steppd out of the Community Centre with a small yawn. Her arms were full of packaged left-overs from the party last night, and the rest of the decorations and containers were carried in a large bag on her back.
She quietly walked through the village. At each occupied house, she left a package of the party goodies, carefully placed up high so that wild scavengers could not reach them.

Foenix stopped off in front of Fae's house, and looked down at Nehanda and Nahda. "Well, guys, I guess this is it. You'll be just fine. In fact, you'll have a great time!"
In truth, however, the woman was working very hard to conceal her own tears. She had never left the girls behind for such a long time. They'd be just fine, right?
She gave the gryphon and Tahnee a little push toward the door. "Nehanda, don't forget to water the gardens every day. Fae and her kids might even be willing to help you!"
With a tiny sniffle, she hoisted her own bags over her shoulder and started down to where her boat was waiting.

Fae was moving furniture from within her house, perhaps preparing for some remodeling. A lot of noise was heard from inside if you were to stand outside her door, but then everything went silent suddenly. Nahda was reassuring Nehanda and Nehanda was merping to Nahda- both of them quite loud that caught the attention of the contents within the house. Fae walked over to her door and opened it.
"Nahanda? Nahda?" She stared quizzically, looking around for Foenix but only no-where-to-be-found. "What're you guys doing here?" She asked in a tone that wouldn't think she didn't want them here.
Nahda's demeaner seemedto be slightly less that perky as usual today. The little girl held the small swan/horse perched upon her shoulder. "Foenix has to go on an impertant trip to..." She pondered the word she heard her guardian say. "..Inland 'till Thursday night," she said, a smile trying to form but left her lower lip to quiver. It was obvious she already felt homesick.
Nehanda gave a small merp and craned her lanky neck down to nibble on Nahda's ear, knowing that always got the little girl to giggle. The Aerandir as well missed Foenix already, but she had Pueblo to have keep her company here! Plus, it's not like she can't attend to her gardens daily as usual. Yes, Foenix would be home before they knew it. Fae thought for a moment. Not even a letter? Not that it was any trouble, it was just awefully sudden. It surprised her to see Nahda so sad as well and frowned, quickly thinking. "Ah, I see. Well, why don't you two come inside. We can decide where you want to sleep. I bet Twizzy will be excited to know you're here, too," she grinned.
The Tahnee girl suddenly livened with excitment and broke out into a mild grin. "Twizzy? TWIZZY!" The fact that her guardian wasn't on the same island quickly abandoned her mind and was replaced with the fact that she could play with Twizzler. Dodging Fae, she ran through the door as the little gryphon clung onto Nahda's shoulder for dear life.

Just like most other days, the weather was warm. Hot, even. It was usually a little too to spend midday outside. But once the noon heat had passed its peak, Ieyasu had decided to lounge around outside for a little while - just on his front porch area.
The artefacts in the jar were still glowing oddly when he brought them outside. They had been the same way for some time now - and the whole time he had been careful around the jars. Alyosha had told him that they would explode, and he really didn't fancy being abruptly showered by shattered glass. He wanted to keep the jar near to him though, so that he would know straight away when anything new happened.
So he had carefully taken the jar out with him. Finding a spot under the eaves of the house - it really wasn't a good idea to leave the glass jar in the sun - he set the glowing jar down there in the shade. And then found a warm spot for himself. Settling down on the patio near to the deer-chaser, he leaned back on the wood. Bringing his arms up, he clasped his hands behind his head and lounged like that - stretched out and enjoying the pleasant warmth.
And subsequently dozed off.
The sharp sound of shattering glass awoke him abruptly. He sat bolt upright, slightly disorientated at the sudden shift. Staring around himself, he took a few moments to resume a normal state of mind. Then he noticed the glow from beside the wall. The jar had broken, shards of glass scattered over the wood. Above the jagged remains of the base, a blueish orb hovered, swaying very slightly as it floated there. For a few moments, Ieyasu simply stared. Was this it happening?

The small ball pulsed and rolled towards Ieyasu, twitching softly. It came to a rest between his feet, moving in a tight circle as if agitated. The small ball of energy slowly began to form into a creature.
Wings, legs and then a head all started to become visible. With a sudden last surge the crature came to be, wide wings flapping lightly as it settled itself to the ground.

Ieyasu watched the orb with fascination. It seemed to have a mind of its own as it spun over to him. Then it circled about around his feet as he sat there. It was almost like the little glowing orb was worked up about something. Shifting his position, Ieyasu leaned forward to watch the little ball more closely. He was fascinated by it.
And then, he noticed the ball beginning to change; parts of it forming new shapes. Parts of it lengthened, stretching out and contorting into a vaguely animal-like shape. A wide grin broke out across Ieyasu's face as he watched. He couldn't help himself. Finally, there was a last flare of energy, and the little Aerandir he had named Osusuki was there in a flurry of feathers and moving limbs.
For a moment, Ieyasu just stared. The little gryphon had a fox-like body, with reddish fur and a large bushy tail. His neck was long and sinuous, the elegant head undoubtedly that of a crane, with one difference. He had triangular, vulpine ears. And his wings: they were large and broad looking; white and black in colour.
Ieyasu wasn't sure what to do for a moment. The little gryphon had initially settled down between his feet, and was now staring around himself in a vaguely disorientated, vaguely curious manner. Osusuki gave a short call, a shrill trumpet as he picked himself up again. Turning around, his wings raised again almost experimentally, he studied Ieyasu, trumpeting briefly again.
Ieyasu grinned, still seated on the patio, as he reached forward to the gryphon. Osusuki spread his wings at the gesture, tilting his head to the side before giving the hand an exploratory poke with his pointed beak. Clumsily, as if not quite sure of his body yet, he clambered up, resting his two front paws on Ieyasu's shin. His wings flapped, while his hind paws remained on the patio wood. Nudging at Ieyasu's hand again, he then drew back, calling shrilly again before dropping back down to the ground on all fours. He then began to move about Ieyasu, testing the use of his limbs.

Foenix ranquickly through the vilage, looking for Fae. She'd checked at the woman's house, and found it empty, and so was searching rather desperately. She'd gotten in that morning, dropped her bags off in the middle of the floor, and taken off to find her kids.
"Do you see them?" she called up to Freya, who was flitting about at rooftop level.
The little Fenthry swooped down and resumed her perch upon Foenix's shoulder. "I think I see them over at Rahujo's."
"Great!" With a grin, the red-head took off in that direction.

Sage had watched Freya fly around Fae's house, peering from the window a bit confused. When they had left, Ombre poked her head up to see what happening as well. Sage frowned, wondering where everyone was going.
Fae was sure enough at Rahujo's, talking buisness with the Aerandir. Fae badly wanted something hand crafted from the blacksmith, but as long as it was too much trouble. She badly needed something she could cook with. Room temperture foods wasn't cutting it. D:
