Kat let out a small laugh, leaning her head against the car window, the drive having relaxed her, and the headache mostly gone. "Well it is good for keeping your urinary tract healthy."
She remained quiet for a moment, before slowly turning her head to look at him. "Thank you, Jarred. I needed this." She let out a small laugh, "You have a habit of de-stressing me somehow. I'd almost call it a power."

"Who knows?" He smiled, pulling back up to the safe house next to the other cars, out of sight of the road. "Maybe I do have a power after all?"

"Perhaps, perhaps." Kat unbuckled as they reached the safehouse, but didn't move to get out. "But if you don't, you're lucky. So very lucky." A slight bit of sadness glazed her smile, betraying Kat's own hate for her ability.

"Hey hey, I thought I made you feel better." He smiled, leaning over slightly. "I know it can't be fun, and people just think your power is a tool to be used when they need it, but it's a part of you, as much as anything else." His smile turned warmer. "And I'm always here whenever you need a real kiss."

"But using your kiss as a tool, really isn't much better than them using mine, is it?" Kat asked. She looked at him a moment. "Would you want to kiss me if I was a normal, powerless girl?"

"Would you want to kiss me if I was a normal, powerless girl?" "If you were a normal, powerless girl, would we ever have met?" He unbuckled his seat, turning off the car. "And I think a woman who has to go through life without a real kiss is allowed one now and then."

"Don't know. Might have wandered into your arcade one day." Kat continued to look at him carefully, her eyes slightly clouded, with a few lines of tension at the corners. "And when has she over-stepped her bounds?"

((Way, way behind, but, here's a reply.))
Rook nodded to the statement about the colors being catagories.
"Yeah. Each person with powers falls into a certain color. I'm white, Kat's blue, for example. Once the Keepers bag you, they run you through a veritible gauntlet to see if you're fit. If you pass, the divvy you off to the various factions inside the organization, each one one of the colors. Then they train you as they see fit from there."

Arch the Angel "I'll say when." He said softly, leaning in for a kiss. Kat waited for him, for once letting someone else take the lead in a kiss. She let her eyes fall closed as his lips reached hers, enjoying the simplicity in the warmth and contact.

Rook wandered about the apartment, hunting around for Kat and Jarred, before stepping outside the building, spotting Jarred's car, but the tinting on the windows obscuring view, he turned and walked back into building.

Jarred's hand moved up, cradling the side of her face as he pressed into the kiss.
"So, what? The color determines what kind of power you have?"
"Ooh ooh, what am I?" Sam said, bounding up towards the computer. "Am I red? Or black?"
"You're black. Now shut up, Sam." Jeffery said, looking over the list again. "Could we use that to figure out who goes where?" He watched as Rook walked back in. "For instance, does one color have, say, fire powers? We don't have to convince them of powers if they've already used it."
