again, rolls are usually situation based from what we've seen so if you're considered undetected or have an advantage over an otherwise occupied opponent you'd probably have a higher crit range anyhow

Seems to me a Ranger would only have an "hide in shadows" when in a forest, or outside a city atleast... But just my thinkin.

Brainstorm:


Implementation of WEATHER (omgwtf?)

Heavy Rain = 20% increased chance of missing by all affected.
Strong Winds = -25% to all movement speed
Thick Fog = Decreased visibility, Increase to all stealth rolls
Blizzard = -30% movement speed, random frost damage
Heat Wave = Exhaustion occurs quicker

Invigorating Breeze = 30% increased move speed
Light Mist = Increased Morale, minor HP regeneration
Rainbow = Increased Morale, Increased Luck (Higher chance of finding rare items)
Star-Filled Night = Increases critical strike rate by 50%
Light Snow = Damage taken is reduced by 25%

All weather conditions would likely only last a few hours, but the bonuses and negative effects would be interesting to see, in any event.

I have some questions about Orcs, if you don't mind.
1. Are their any, specifically Orcish religions? IF not, who is the most common to worship?

2. Do Orcs consume raw flesh? Do they consume other humanoids?

3. Do they have typical speech patterns similar to that exhibited by your Ogres? (Do dez talk like dis wen wif dere ladz?)

4. Is there a separate Orcish language?

5. What weapon/s would an Orcish warrior most likely have?

Natural disasters wouldn't necessarily be a weather effect... it would be a OMFG RUN LIKE HELL effect. So, I doubt I will implement those.

Both, as mercenaries and guards, you take your places inside and outside the carriages and wagons in order to ensure safety of the cargo.

Zeus is Laren's animal familiar, an eagle.

That would be the plan, there is no "1-3 its sunny, 4-5 its raining".

I think that is it for now.....



1. Ancestor worship mainly, there are no orcish gods. Just a belief in "Afterlife"
2. Orcs do not consume other humanoids, but they are extremely aggressive and carnivorous, thus have lower standards in what is "acceptable" meat, thus leading to their poor dietary issues and shorter lifespans.
3. Orcs are not highly intelligent, thus they do not speak very articulated but they are infinitely more competent and capable linguists than their neanderthal cousins, the ogres.
4. There can be, I didn't really bother with languages beyond just branding the one that everyone speaks as "Common"
5. Well, if you're asking for suggestions for yourself, you are far from the standard Orcish warrior. Standard orcs would typically use two handed weapons, axes, swords or spears, or dual-wielding axes. However, with your "knight", you are most proficient with a two handed sword or sword and shield style. This is not to say that you can't use other weapons, they are simply the ones you are best with.

A question, are there gods for everything?
Ex: In Forgotten Realms setting the godess of luck would be Tymora, so anything lucky or unlucky. And the others gods as such... Like Selce would thank Mystra for her spells or something I dunno.

Or some odd form of animalism or similar?

And as Tonas is working super hard to keep up with fight rolls/weather/ answering questions I SHAL ASK ANOTHER!

Hmm being a wizard I agree that you should have a familar as well and you chose should be a bit more confined but at the same broader than my own choose list, may I suggest a being from another plane? Would make for an interesting compainon.

And Gods would make things intereasting. If you need ideas I have a really fun Choas/ fire god in mind hehe.

from my experience in DND, the difference between the familiar and the animal companion is that the AC has a good combat potential in terms of abilities, attacks, and general understanding of its owner. Therefore it tends to be things that can be used to hunt and hurt other creatures such as leopards, wolves, birds of prey or creatures with special movement. For the familiar, it is more like a toad, cat, or owl, they have very little in the way of hurting things, but can be used to help spells or just offer another spot roll for the wizard as well as contributing some minor abilities to its master such as skill bonuses.
