Chao blinked at the sudden voice that wasn't part of her own little chorus. She tilted her head, practicly listening for the echo of it and focused on the still open channel.
Satisfied? Avec quet mie- She gave her head a shake, correcting the languages. With what? Rabid?

Sarcasm. Yes. You okay with her?
He made an audible sound of pain this time and gripped his temples.
Rabid turned toward Liam, recognizing what he was doing almost immediately.
"Nice. Real nice," she sighed and looked away, resting her head in her hand. She was fairly certain they were gibbering about her...if it wasn't her usual paranoia.

Of course not, should I be? At Rabid's words a foreign curse snapped across the line, directed not at Liam but inwards at herself, before Chao seemed to realize what she was doing and snapped the line closed on her end.
"Sorry," she murmured, giving Rabid a chastized look and focusing back on the reason she'd poked up here in the first place, "though if you didn't want us to worry so much you could answer my question from before the little poisonous knife episode."

Liam slapped his forehead and gave a saddened look to Rabid.
"We'd really like t'know, luv..."
Rabid turned and glared at them both, sighing as her lower lip quivered. It wasn't so much that she didn't want them to know. It was more that every time she talked about it, it came back.
"I had my heart torn out by a near-stranger, killed a man, and I think one of my best friends hates me, mmkay?"
She struggled to hold back tears, but one escaped...this one of blood, as legend suggested...but not for any normal or...healthy reason...
Rabid's eyes widened and she leaped up, reaching toward her eyes. Her vision had gone completely red-tinted...

Chao stood and crossed over, hugging Rabid gently and easing her back down, offering the woman the tissue she'd grabbed. "It's just tears," she murmured carefully, not healthy looking tears, tears none the less.
"And not 'mmkay', how could anything with a summery like that, something that's left you hurting this badly be okay with us?" it was an honest question with no mocking edge to it, just worry.

Rabid took the tissue thankfully and dabbing at her eyes. The tears continued, and therefore so did the blood.
"Shhhh," Liam cooed and rubbed Rabid's shoulders, showing another side of himself for the first time in quite some time, "Calm down, kiddo."
Rabid tilted her head down and let the bloody tears drain into her tear ducts and down her face. She calmed slowly. That was pretty frightening, she had to admit.
"You wouldn't understand...please don't make me say his name..." she sniffed and wiped her eyes again. Everything was still goddammed pink...

Chao took a deep breath, mind racing through possibilities of what to say.
Blowing the breath out through her nose she reached over, grabbing the box of tissues and placed it on her lap, "Rabid...we, honestly, can't force you. Well, perhaps Liam has some hidden ability that he could use to make you-" she shook her head and shut off the tangent.
"We're worried and, just... talking about it, you know, makes it real, but if it's not real how can you ever accept that it happened and, you know, move on and live again?" she kicked her feet, eager for motion, and attempted to snap shut her rambling mouth, "and, well, if you were, or still are punishing yourself, it's not just you that's suffering," she glanced pointedly at the sleeping Mishaps.

"I know," Rabid coughed and grabbed some tissues, dabbing her face and blowing her nose noisily, "and I've accepted it just fine, the b*****d."
Liam smacked himself mentally. Of course there was a way! He continued rubbing Rabid's shoulders innocently, but started into her temple. Random blurbs of information, mostly screamed quotes, suddenly entered his brain, ending in a whisper of a word.
Julian.
Liam snapped back to reality and arched an eyebrow at Chao before sending her a simple, and ultimately painful message.
Who's Julian?

Chao gave her head a minute shake and and leant back, she didn't have a reply for that except a disbelieving look.
She didn't glance towards Liam when she heard the message, but tilted her head slightly and blinked, Julien...I don't know, the name isn't familar.

Liam considered his options for quite some time before finally settling on the most weighty of them. He had to know the answer.
"Rabid, m'dear...who's Julian?"
Rabid stopped moving completely for a moment. There had to be a satisfying answer that didn't tell much. She wasn't ready to talk about it. Not yet.
"I killed him," she gave a slight laugh, and her eyes grew just a bit wild, "He's the guy I killed."
Liam gave the Vampire a strange look, and patted her on the back. When had she had time to kill someone without her friends noticing? Why hadn't she told him?
"Alright," he sighed, "Alright."

Chao glanced up to Rabid and made a small noide of comprehension, questions fluttering through her skull. She squashed them firmly to the back of her mind, fingers tightening so that her nails dug gently into the skin of her palm and nodded slightly, there seemed nothing to say except perhaps to echo Liam and that would just be pointless.

Rabid saw Chao's strange reaction and huffed. Her heart fluttered, and she looked up at Liam with a determined glance.
"What?" he asked before realizing, "Ah. Girl talk. Mmhm. I'll be in there." He gave a quick hop skip and jump and disappeared into the bathroom, taking a seat on the stool beside the sink and shutting the door.
Rabid waited for a moment, until she heard him turn on the water for further privacy.
"Ask away," she said quietly and looked down at her hand in her lap.
She owes me, Liam though and sighed, propping his head up on an arm and beginning to count the floor tiles.

Chao's mouth quirked slightly in a light attempt at a smile as Liam dissapeared then fell again as she looked to Rabid.
"When'd it all start?" she asked quietly, then made a face and attempted to clarify, "not- I mean- was there something...bigger surrounding all of this? I just can't see you going crazy and killing someone and then having his death affect you this much."

Rabid thought for a moment. The exact date was...not exactly clear. Wait...yes it was.
"The twenty-seventh of October," she said, fiddling with her belt, "I met him on the 27th, and it started a day or so later."
Had it really been so long ago? Gods, it felt like it'd all happened that morning. She thought back to what had happened. The few moments in the living room when he hadn't been yelling about Crow...those were the only good memories out of it all...
