Don't you bring your sadness down on me. ____________________________________________ "Oh! You want to take music too? The music prof is really pretty. You'll love her. And Professor Aningan is probably the guy you'd want to talk to about joining up with an art class. It's a Saturday, so if he's not here, he's out on the grounds." Rosa watched as this new girl, Abel, eyed a sculpture. Her eyes lit up as she examined it. This girl really has an eye for art. As if she read Rosa's mind, Abel looked up and asked her how long she'd been at Blackthorn. "Um...only about a month or so. Why do you ask?"
Yes, it had only been a month, but it felt like much longer. Time flew at this place; there was so much to do here. Especially with the seemingly endless supplies for all of her crafts. She sold some of her earrings and bracelets up at the Outfitter, giving a portion of the sales to the Art Department to pay for the use of the supplies. But she couldn't wait for Professor Ani to teach her about the art from his culture. She'd seen his bracelets and necklaces he'd wear and how much his heritage inspired his designs. She'd been asking him for the past week to teach her, but he'd been so busy with his classes, there just didn't seem to be any time.
A light bulb went off over Rosa's head. "Look, I just need to grab a couple things from the storage. But I don't have anything to do after that. If you want someone to show you the campus, I'd be glad to." ____________________________________________

Nukpana "Lynette'' Onatah A wise man once told me, 'A wolf's eyes are mirrors to one's soul, hopefully you'll like what you see.'_______________________________________________________________________________ Lynette sat on the steps of the campus library reading a book on Greek Myths that she had just checked out, she looked down the Table of Contents for her favorite ones. She had nothing better to do on such a beautiful day than to sit around reading, the few friends she actually had made probably were off studying or roaming about the campus, she had some thoughts about writing a letter to her mom just telling her how she was doing but she remembered how that had worked out over the last month since she had arrived at Blackthorn. None of the letters ever got sent out and they ended up bundled in a heap like a pile of old newspapers in the corner of her room, she sighed, It's like writing a diary, I write them every day but they never get sent out. Wasting paper like that is idiotic. She rose to her feet to quickly making her feel lightheaded from the blood now rushing, she stretched her legs out pulling each back with the opposite hand for a few seconds before shaking it out and stepping down the stairs and headed towards her dorm room in Lunare.
She pulled her hair over her shoulder and tucked her bangs behind her ears before she opened the door to her dorm room once she was in she closed it behind her. In and Out, remember set the book on your desk and go to the bathroom then leave. Her mind repeated this in her head as she walked to her tidy little desk and set the book down upon it, and headed to the bathroom using it quickly and finishing up then leaving her room almost undisturbed. She hummed a mellow tune she remembered from her childhood it brought a grin to her face which only faded remembering what else happened not many years after, she pushed the thoughts out of her head and kept to the humming starting down the steps to the outside world yet again.
She stuck her hands deep into her pockets and stared at her feet intently as she walked around the campus, it was about her second time around and she was stuck thinking about the same thing. Why can't I remember? I need to remember, I just want to know if it was my fault or not. She bit at her lip softly and rubbed her left eye trying to get something that seemed to be in it out of it. She sighed and looked ahead of her, the sun making her red skin more of an orange color and bringing out her lighter brown highlights from her dark brown hair. She pulled her hands from out of her pockets since it was warmer now and tucked them behind her putting a little more bounce in her step and looking at most of the faces that passed her by looking for the one that belonged to her friend, the one she got along with the best._______________________________________________________________________________ Yet he didn't know he was staring into the eyes of one at that moment, hopefully he liked what he saw.

xxxxxxx________ Abel Chou ________xxxxxxxxx Abel smiled and nodded slightly as Rosa spoke of what classes to take and what teachers to speak too. She was quite a helpful little bugger... She her bag a little tighter and tilted her head slightly. She stared down at her for a good few seconds before her lips finally parted. "No reason... Just wondering...", she whispered and smiled, her eyes closed. She looked back to the art and wondered around, feeling Rosa's eyes on her still. She seemed to be enjoying her company, as Abel was enjoying hers...
The young Werewolf took out a note pad and began to write a few things about a painting and sculpture before putting it back in her pack. She flinched as a light flickered out and her yellow eyes went to Rosa. Her eyes glowed lightly in the darkness. She blinked. "Right t-then...", she whispered as Rosa mentioned she needed a few things from storage. Her lips turned into a shy smile. She scratched the back of her head sheepishly. "W-well! I am honored to take your offer.", she said happily. "I suggest I help you with getting what you need from storage?", she asked in offering a hand.
Abel was actually looking forward to exploring. She felt good about this girl. A friend. On the first day. 'Your picking it up from being lost, to finding a friend!', she thought happily and looked back to Rosa. "Where is this storage room of yours?"

Kent would run for quite some time before finally having to stop to catch his breath. Kent refused to be weak at anything in his life, it was his determination that made him the way he was. His eyes scanned the area he stopped at. He wanted to go play a game of ball, but there weren't enough people around for that. Kent would sigh before sitting down off the path and doing sets of sit ups. He finished them shortly and continued to run for some time after. Kent's lungs and chest were burning by the time he stopped running. He felt tired and to most the feelings going through him would of been some of the worst feelings they would of felt. Kent on the other hand loved the feeling of his body being pushed to its limit. His heart was racing so fast that it sounded on the verge of shooting out of his chest.
"I'll be damned...ran around and only noticed a few new people...even less of them being girls. Shame..."
Kent hadn't seen a familiar face today nor had he seen any worth chasing and wooing. He was sure since he got a late start that Jason and Gael had gotten all the fresh students already. It made him laugh at the thought of the two of them and their way with the ladies. Kent would cross his arms and figure he might as well get his training bag. With a huff he started running again and got back to Lunare in no time. He went back into his room and grabbed his bag and before exiting he wrote a line on a piece of paper. "Perseverance will bring you victory in all endeavors." Kent exited his room closing and locking the door behind him. Finally Kent went outside again and leaned against the main entrance to Lunare. He was still trying to figure out what he was going to do today.

Tika was in his room, a human once more. He wore a tight black shirt, one that would show off his fine muscles to anyone who appreciated his build, and heavy, but comfortable brown slacks. His black hair was set in a long braid that hung down to the middle of his back. Satisfied as he could be with his human appearance, he gathered his personal art supplies and books and made his way to the art studio, smiling broadly and showing off his white carnivorous teeth.
As Tika walked briskly through the building, he smelt the remnant smell of a cigarette and sighed. He spotted the rascal, who was talking with the girl he had seen humming not ten minutes ago. He approached them. “Well, hello ladies, how are you this fine Saturday?” And with a quick glance at Rosa, he added, “Those little cancer sticks will catch up to you if you don’t watch it.” He smiled as if to say I’m one to talk. He had a tendency to light one up every now and then.

{ The Troublemaker }{Subject of my masterpiece; Loki }╔══════════════╗ [ Sorry for keeping you waiting, Sakura. D: && Sin, here is an invitation to get Kent some company. 8D ]
Evelyn peered at the sky as well and sighed, “Well damn!” She looked at Loki, who was greatly disappointed. Loki offered to go exploring and Evelyn gave her answer by a small nod of the head. She started on the path and hummed softly, scanning her mind for something that would start a conversation.
They did not get far by the time they passed a corner of Lunare and she saw a boy leaning against the building. She raised a brow and peered at him, he was handsome, muscular, one of those sporty type boys. He seemed to be staring off, looking rather bored. Evelyn, having no clue whether he was new or not just simply waved, whether he would catch it or not would count on his peripheral vision. The wave could have been taken as an invitation or just a simple hello, depended on the person who was receiving it. When it was from Evelyn, it meant both.
Putting her hand back at her side, Evelyn continued her humming. Whether the boy wanted to join them or not was up to him, but she was not going to wait. He’d have to catch up. Evelyn peered at Loki, “Favorite color? Favorite food? Favorite animal? Favorite season? Discuss!”
And there is how the red-head started on a conversation.

Don't you bring your sadness down on me. ____________________________________________ Sensing the happiness in the once shy Abel, Rosa couldn't resist the urge to skip to the storage room. "It's just down the hall!" She nearly bumped into Professor Ani as she turned on her heel to start skipping. She only really thought badly of her height around extremely tall people, like Professor Ani, and that was only because she found it so hard to look into his face while she was speaking to him. At the comment about her smoking, she playfully hit him on the arm, a wide toothy grin on her face. "You know I'm old enough to make my own decisions!"
She looked over to Abel and waved her over. "This is Professor Aningan, you know, the art teacher. I'll let you two talk while I go to the storage room." She wormed her way around Professor Ani's mass and started skipping towards the storage room. "I'll be back soon!" she called out, halfway down the hall. She figured it was best to leave those two to themselves so they could discuss the class; her being there was pointless and a waste of time--not when she could be gathering beads. And the wide selection of colors and shapes and designs just sent shivers down her back. The best crafts shop in Chicago didn't offer this much; hell, all the crafts stores in Chicago combined didn't offer this much. The beads were arranged by their color first, and then by the size.
Rosa shoved open the door to the storage room--it tended to stick, and flicked on the light switch. Once the lights had flickered to life, the dusty air and the over powering smell of wet clay filled her nostrils. Each footstep sounded as if she were walking on a thin sheet of sand that covered the entire floor. The typical-ness of the room, how it just screamed art, excited Rosa. Feeling inspired by those eyes of Abel's, she moved to the yellow beads. She reached into her bag and dug around before pulling out a zip pouch. She zipped open the top and began to place some beads into it. The pouch was a dark blue velvet, with metallic beads embroidered in the shape of an abstract flower on one side of it. All of it, made by her own hand.
In fact, there was very little Rosa was wearing at the moment that she had not altered in some way to fit her and her design. The earrings hanging from her ears: pearly white teardrops, she had made just before coming to Blackthorn. The necklace: a black string with an old piece of quartz wrapped with a thick metal wire. Her clothes were altered to fit her; it was cheaper than paying a tailor to do it for her. Rosa laughed at the thought of paying another tailor. Her shoes: simple sneakers, with white rubber toes she had covered in doodles. Every once in a while, she'd clean off the doodles, so she could doodle a different design on them when she'd grown tired of the previous one.
Once Rosa had felt she'd gathered enough beads, having moved to the green section and then the purple, she zipped her pouch back up and stuffed it back into her bag. She brought her jacket sleeve up to her nose and sniffed. It does smell like cigarette smoke... ____________________________________________

Nukpana "Lynette'' Onatah A wise man once told me, 'A wolf's eyes are mirrors to one's soul, hopefully you'll like what you see.'_______________________________________________________________________________ Lynette was again looking at her feet kinda enjoying the sound her shoes made against the cobblestone near the Grand Clock Tower, it was a soft click-clacking noise that varied depending on how hard or soft she stepped. She continued to hum even though it was more of a background thing then something she was focusing on, then she remembered she was supposed to be picking out a few classes that she would be interested in along with her main courses, and then going to pick up something to eat Maybe I'll get a sub today, haven't had one of those in a while. I wonder if they still have breakfast. Her mind wondered off on the subject of food more than dwittling on which classes to choose. Her stomach protested to her wasting time walking about the campus perimeter rather than heading off to the cafe, and she was soon hurried off towards the double doors of the cafeteria.
She stared at the menu for a few minutes before just ordering a sandwich and a big bowl of soup, since they didn't seem to be serving breakfast. While she waited for her food she thought about enrolling in an art class and maybe an astronomy course and the mandatory courses every first year had to take, Yeah, for right now that seems to be a pretty good course. I wish they had cooking classes, that would be a lot of fun. Plus it couldn't hurt me. She glanced down at her skinny, little body but her food was being served and it snapped her attention back. She broke the sandwich in half before stuffing one half of the contents into the other half and dunking the bread into the soup, just the way she liked it. She gobbled up the sub within a few minutes and took out a small pad of paper and started to jot down a few notes on a painting that was forming in her mind.
When she finished eating she stood and gathered up all her belongings along with the remains of her lunch that was heading for the trash. After she tossed it in she walked in the sunlight which felt good after she had been inside freezing for a little while, she held her tiny purse close to her as if someone was going to run up and snatch it from her even though she knew no one would do such a thing and looked around curiously at what to do next she wanted to be outside and maybe make a few more friends. She was going to be here a long time and she wanted to make the most of it, she wanted to break out of her shell and become that social butterfly. Smile and look cute and fun. She reminded herself thinking back to how she used to be, that itself made her smile and she started off around the campus again this time trying to memorize where everything was._______________________________________________________________________________ Yet he didn't know he was staring into the eyes of one at that moment, hopefully he liked what he saw.

The Artist ----Company: Kata, Vincent
╔══════════════╗
[[OLOL, TIME JUMP -With permission, don't get your panties in a twist]]
Fray sighed as the small group exited the building. The afternoon sun was shining brightly, almost touching the horizon, pegging the time at about four oclock. The light it emmited only illuminated her orange hair, making her look like a neon sign screaming for attention. She hated it. Reaching up with the hand not cradling her black leather sketch book, she gathered her hair into one lock, twisting it a bit to keep it together and pulling it over her shoulder, letting it hang down to her elbow.
Turning, she glanced at Kata, who's small quirky smile just made her want to melt, and to Vince, who, as usual was shuffling along, his hands in his pockets. What an odd, ragtag group... I like it. She wondered if she should speak, but the musioc of the day was too beautiful to break. There were birds singing their songs in the distance, her above-normal hearing picked up the sound of a stream and a hollow space. Caves? Where? I should.... She looked to her group again, and spoke quietly, respecting nature's music.
Uhm, would you both accompany me outside campus? We all know the campus, we've memorized the map... At least, I have. But, the ouside... I would love to go for a run and a hike... Anyone? They were, by now, on the corner of the Soare, having not traveled far. Fraya could hear the sound of dull foot-steps coming from the building, sounding familiar. She turned and looked to the door, about fifteen feet to their right, expecting to see the person exit. Curiosity killed the cat...

((It's ok, I like waiting sometimes. Lets me think.))
Kent had been leaning there at the entrance for only a few minutes when he heard something that made his head turn. Then before he could see what it was a blur was moving in the corner of his eye. His head turned to look and he spotted two girls. One of the girls was waving at him and the first thing he noticed about the girl was her hair. It struck out like a light in the middle of the darkest night. Kent would shake his head and smile as he pushed off the wall and decided to join them. After all they could of been new here unlike himself and his kind nature made him feel like he might be able to help them.
"Hey..."
Kent would say as he jogged up beside the two girls, but next to the red haired one. She after all was the one that had waved at him. His bag hung off his right shoulder and swung lightly as he walked. It was full of his training equipment. The veins Kent's arms were noticeable only due to him having of run for so long. His chest had just stopped burning and his lungs were still on fire. He loved the feeling and the weather was nice enough to allow him to enjoy his workouts to the fullest. He wasn't sure what he was going to do, but he was trying to make friends and meet a girl or two.

{ The Troublemaker }{Subject of my masterpiece; Loki }╔══════════════╗ Evelyn was listening to Loki’s answers, keeping them in mind. Before Evelyn could reply with her own answers or bombard Loki with another string of questions, she heard the boy say “Hey” and run up beside her. Evelyn turned her head and looked at him, he had a smile on his face now and she was glad he decided to join the small party. More the merrier, correct?
She could hear the rustling of items in the bag that hung from his shoulder, she mused on what could be there, and how much sport activities he joined in. She kept those questions in the back of her head, he may answer them in a conversation or she would simply ask. Evelyn was not one to sit there and enjoy and watch sports, but her childhood friend and she used to throw a ball or two around and she would join in a friendly game if invited. He wore loose and sports gear, one that you’d go running in. She could hear his heart-beat from where she was walking; it was a bit fast for rested state, telling her that he had just done something. “You’re not new, are you?” She knew it was a rhetorical question, he walked with knowledge of the path below his feet and she was glad to have an older student with them. Memorizing the paths and buildings would be so much easier.
“I’m Evelyn by the way, call me Eve if you wish,” she introduced herself before wrapping an arm around Loki’s shoulders and smiled, “And this is Loki!” She released Loki’s shoulders and offered her hand to the older boy, “Pleasure to meet you…” She left her voice just drag out, leaving that area for his name. Her black eyes were calculating but kind, like they always were when she met someone new. She would want to keep his name and personality imprinted in her mind, just in case he was good company for the future.

Whats my problem?...
Loki laughed when the bombardment of questions came at her. She had glanced at the boy Evelyn had waved at, but only a glance. “Navy, beef jerky, golden eagle, and winter...”Loki answered periodically. She was about to ask the same when the boy Evie had waved at came up. Loki had to stop herself from drooling. This boy was FINE. She noted his strong arms and flushed face. He was a runner. When Evie draped an arm around her shoulders, Loki snapped out of her gawking and smiled at the handsome newcomer.
After Evie had introduced herself, Loki did the same, hoping she did not seem overeager. Evie had introduced her for her but that didn’t mean she could not shake his hand, his finely sculpted hand. Loki felt a bit lost, she had never really interacted with a boy other than her cousin… now deceased. She dropped her eyes at the memory, staring at the ground and willing herself not to cry. She needed one but she would wait until she was alone. There was no need to burden her new friend, or that fine young man. She shook her head and grinned at Evelyn. “Favorite color, favorite food, favorite animal, favorite season, discuss!” She looked at the beautiful boy in a way that invited him to answer those questions too. ...its a long story.

Kent watched the two interact noting their friendliness with each other. He figured they knew each other until he heard the questions. His eyes watched Loki's eyes drop. He noted the sadness and shot in his own answer to Evelyn as she asked for his name.
"Kent, it's a pleasure to meet you Evelyn, Loki." He would nod to each of them in recognition. It was his was of confirming their names in his head. That way he wouldn't forget them. "No, I am not a new student here, been here for some time actually. Never seen you two around, so is it safe to assume you are new?" He asked with his usual relaxed smile that he had in casual conversation.
Kent tightened up the back from his shoulder as it was getting loose and beginning to annoy him slightly. He was watching Loki for a moment before he would smile broadly and take her hand only for a moment in order for her to know someone was there. The simple act of touching someone and making eye contact the way he did. It let the person know that if they needed anything her was there for them. He was a genuine nice guy, tough guy, but sweet. He would let go of her hand before looking at Evelyn with questioning look as to who should answer first. He would of course decide to answer first.
"Blue oh course, and that would have to be anything homemade. I just love home cooking. Animal? Cougar...then spring. Evelyn?"

xxxxxxx________ Abel Chou ________xxxxxxxxx Abel smiled as she watched little Rosa skip off... But as she had only begun, she stopped. Abel watched carefully, her cat like eyes narrowing. She flinched seeing a tall man there. He was quite handsome, seeming very nice. She walked over cautiously, blushing with shyness. She listened as Rosa introduced him as the Art Teacher. She blinked and kept staring for a long time, watching Rosa leave. her eyes averted back up to who now was known as Professor Aningan. She swallowed hard...
"... M-my name is Abel Chou...", she whispered nervously and scrambled in her bag. She pulled out a notebook that was stuffed to the max. She handed it to the man. "... I-I... Um... Would v-very like to join your c-class...", she whispered nervously and glanced away, blushing more. her yellow eyes stared up at him, feeling small now. She stared at the red note book...
Inside was her life's work. Beautiful sketches and drawings of flowers and the moon, spider webs and skulls, poeple and lets not forget, Lycans... She also had photos she had taken of mountains, beautiful women and men dancing, Animals... She slowly took a photo out from her bag and handed it to him next. It was her favorite photo she had taken, other then the flowers. A Spider Web with dew drops on it... She bit her bottom lip softly. "I l-like photography and sketching... I can a-also play the piano...", she mumbled and took back her things slowly, carefully putting them in her Indian style bag. Though, a talented artist, she still ahd a lot to learn. There were many mistakes on different things she had made and took pictures of...
She smiled shyly to the man. "I a-am willing to learn more, if y-you don't mind...", she mumbled. "... I promise to not let you down!"
