Moonprincess202 Queen-of-the-Rogue I'm not sure about that one Roki. I'm pretty sure that position probably goes to a noble. She might be groomed to take over as watch commander or the Training Master bu she wouldn't take the position the Lord Provost holds I don't think. I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the Lord Provost in the Alanna books was common-born. I swear something like that was mentioned in Lioness Rampant. Could someone check? I don't have my books with me right now. I would still like someone to check this out for me. I won't see my books for a while and now I'm really curious.

1) I think the best event in the plot was when Goodwin played as a crooked Dog. I was laughing so hard, and she did it well. 2) I think the worst event in the plot was that there wasn't much Rosto. I missed him. And when Slapper died... why did Slapper have to die? crying 3) The best character, to me, was Achoo. I loved the dog. Her personality was great, very well written. As for a quote.... well they aren't quotes, but I loved Achoo's comands. I tried them with my dog...... they didn't work. Lol. 4) I don't know if it was better then Terrier. I love them both so. I must say, I missed the opening with George Copper learning about Beka. I think it's funny though. George is the Rouge, and Rosto is the Rouge in Beka's time... if Beka marrys Rosto, George with have followed in his footsteps!

I didn't mind that he died, but I liked the fact that Beka cried for him, since you could see the tears on the page. I really didn't expect Slapper to die anyway, so I was mildly surprised. Beka's gift wasn't even much of an important part of the book. I was hoping its extent would progress with every book like Daine's. sad It would be so cool if Beka could somehow call spirits back temporarily, as witnesses or something. And she could freak people out even more! A little lame, huh? I'm sleep deprived.

I had hoped to see some more of Beka's magic as well. It's like she forgot she had it in the book. See in the fanfic version of Bloodhound the author did go into that. Beka could hear things on the wind, could see things from Fireflies, and sing people to sleep or to extreme emotion with her magic by twisting her voice on the wind.
