triggerperfect, "My parents don't eat meat, so we never really had the necessity to buy or hunt." She had only recovered slightly from the initial shock of their touch, so her voice was quiet and a bit slower than usual. Just as she thought herself back to normal, Aidan felt Haucon's larger hand grasp her's. Their fingers laced together, and the elf looked down curiously. Again, the contrast in size and build affected her. She flashed a rare, genuine smile, and nodded in agreement to his statement. "This way, perhaps I'll be able to leave the festival with the use of my remaining limbs." The elf chuckled a little as Haucon led the way. She felt her affection for this human growing unsusually quickly. "So," She began, "Where exactly are we headed?"

((Hi, fellow roleplayers. I'm going to have limited connection for the next week, but feel free to continue roleplaying.))
Tia had not expected the whole occurrence of being grasped by a drunk stranger. "Unhand me, ignorant lout!" she cried.
The same drunken man lost hold for a moment when Tia stomped his foot, but managed to grab Alice too as he randomly reached out.
Why am I here again? Tia thought inwardly as she rolled her eyes at Alice being caught too.

(( for future reference, the grey-blue is Shane's color and the purple is Lyris'. Just clearing that up)) Seeing as the swordplay event didn't start for another couple of hours, Shane decided to go back to his bar and work there for a while. "Lyris, I'm gonna go back to my bar, want to join me?" he asked casually. It didn't matter what Lyris' response was. He was going to go to the bar anyway, but it's been so long since he's seen him...
Lyris was hanging around, thinking about the job he was supposed to be doing when Shane interrupted his thoughts with a queston. "Ah, erm.. Not right now, Shane. Thanks anyway. Actually, I really should be going." he replied. "Hopefully he won't inquire..." he thought.
Shane shrugged after Lyris answered. "Suit yourself," he said, "Just remember to be back before the competition!" he called as he walked further away from him.

Lenore sighed, and absently stirred her cocktail. She stuck out her lower lip a little, pouting. She was sure she had stumbled across something in the two strangers, but her patience was wearing thin once more. She really could apply herself to pursuits; it was just that of late her life had fallen into an awful, dreary waste of limited activity opportunities.
With a sneer she noticed the minor drama with the drunken buffoon, and was momentarily appeased in noting that that nasty little elf was involved in it. Served the witch right.
By now, Lenore had honestly stopped listening to the conversation she had come here to eavesdrop on. She stretched with a large yawn, revealing her fangs momentarily to those who dared look in her direction. Most of the denizens of Redite Street knew better than that. Even so, there was still that ongoing investigation into the string of murders in the district. Lenore had best be careful; wouldn’t want to give that darling inspector anything to incriminate her. She so enjoyed his forays into this less-than-savory section of Chronopolis.

As Shane entered the bar, he noticed a bunch of people he had never seen before. There were two people sitting at a table, discussing something, one of them was a female elf. Next to them, being completely ignored, was a young looking lass with purple hair, who was just seized by some poor drunken fool. Next was the regal white haired woman, who Shane suspected was the captain of the Mage Guard. "I've seen her around the city before, minding her own business. I wonder what she's doing here?? Shane thought before moving on to the next stranger. This one was a knockout. She might have been the most beautiful person Shane had seen, except for the fact that she had reddish eyes. "If I've learned anything over these years, it's that red eyes mean 'STAY AWAY' in giant capital letters." Shane thought, making a mental note to keep away from her. After he took in the newcomers, he walked over where the drunken man was holding the young girl. "Excuse me, sir, but I'm going to have to ask you to put her down, lest I beat you over the head with my bludgeon." he said sternly in his rough bartender's voice.
After Shane left, Lyris took to the streets, searching for the one he was supposed to be hunting. "Damn this city. It's too huge for its own good. I would be lucky to find the bar, much less this demon I'm hunting." he thought, grumbling under his breath. Being the impatient man he was, Lyris decided to just stop off at the bar. After several minutes, he was at the bar's door. As he entered, he stopped in his tracks as he found the one the Wanted poster at his guild described. "'The beautiful, yet devilish girl with the long, flowing blonde hair and reddish eyes.' Yep that's her." he thought. He slowly reached for his revolver and took aim...

Haucon felt another moment of embarressment as their finger's laced but ignored it. He was overjoyed when Aidan smiled at him, and once again tried to hide his elation. He turned to her "That's actually a good question. Where would you like to go? What competitions would like to see, we're probably still a little early." he explained.

Even though the day was young, the drunken man unfortunately had already drunken himself into an unstable stupor and an argumentative mood. Nor was it clear if he even understood Shane's words. "Huh? Trying to pick a fight with me? What didya say bout me?" His grip only tightened on the two females.
((You may control the drunkard's actions.))

triggerperfect, Aidan thought for a moment, weighing her options, a small part of her mind still focused on the feeling of his hand wrapped around her’s. As her mind worked, her deep green eyes moved around the competition grounds. Surrounding them were various arenas set up for a number of events. The people milling around each of them began to shed some light on what the individual areas were to be used for. Aidan noticed this, and was silent for a moment more before saying, “How about that one?” She pointed, with her injured hand, toward where a group rather stern looking men were gathered, wielding swords and attempting to look intimidating. She laughed a little at their expression, and thought to herself, ”If only my hand weren’t injured… It would be interesting to see their faces after being beaten by a female, a quarter of their size…” Her skills as a swordsman were, she found, often sharper [[no pun intended]] than the average human male, due to her agility and surprising strength; both trademarks of her race.

SHRAVRA the metalsmith_____________________ Damn! Out of paint.
Shravra had finished putting the final touches to the metal of his model hours ago, yet he continuously kept unwrapping it to look at it, a frown upon his face. He felt that there was something not quite right about it but couldn't tell what it was. Looking out at crowds milling about outside his smithy it instantly clicked as to what was wrong. There was no colour. A problem easily solved by a coat of metal paint, however he had used the last of it a few days ago on a collection of "Army commander figurines" as they were now being sold as. Still any money they made, some ended up in his pocket. A trip round the market was in order then.

((To move things along in the bar...))
Some random man was making a ruckus outside and jumped into the bar to yell, "THE SWORD COMPETITION IS STARTING SOON!" The man ran out the door of the bar just as fast. Whether he was drunk, a messenger, or something else was something no one could tell.

Haucon followed Aidan's gesture then veered gently in that direction. "Swordplay, eh?" he said interested. "Are you a sword wielder that I should perhaps watch out for?" he asked, half jokingly. He steered their way toward the fence near the competition. "Looks like it'll start soon!" he said as he shouldered his way up to the fence pulling Aidan after him. "Would you like to sit on the fence? You could probably see better." he explained.

triggerperfect, Aidan smirked a little as they passed the group of contestants, still amused by their expressions. At Haucon’s question, she smiled a little wider, and answered, “That depends.” As they approached the fence, she looked up at him, her expression shifted from amused to sly in a matter of even seconds. “Are you?” They reached the barrier and Aidan considered his offer. It was true that the Elf would have a better view from higher up. The fence was almost as tall as she was, and looked fairly sturdy, considering that it had been constructed in only a matter of hours, and was more for designation than for protection. Aidan had no doubt that it would support her slight weight. Looking down at her injured hand, she noted silently that it might be difficult for her to find a way up, and to keep her balance while there. This objection in mind, she responded, “I’ll be fine from here, I think. No need to put myself in danger of falling, especially when I’ve already had such good luck today.” The remark was sarcastic, though she delivered the statement in such a way, that the sarcasm was only slightly inflected.

Haucon was confused slightly by the elf's strange facial expression but broke out laughing when she returned his question. "I know which end is up, and I can pretty much keep from hurting myself, but that's if I'm having a good day." he explained.
He looked from the elf to the height of the fence. "Are you going to be able to see at all?" he asked as politely as possible. "We could move to another area or you could sit on my shoulders...which you would still have the same problem if you fell, but you'd be less likely to fall cause I'd be holding you." he blurted out in a strange slowly falling intonation as he realized what he was proposing. He blushed and stared at his feet. "Just wanna make sure you can see." he said with a shrug

triggerperfect, Aidan shared in the large man’s laughter, enjoying the sound. She listened to his answer, and couldn’t resist laughing for a few more moments before responding, “I’m afraid I might give you a whipping then, if that’s how good you are at your best,” She smiled, the laughter leaving her system slowly. Considering the height of the fence again, Aidan nodded thoughtfully. “If I stand on the tips of my toes, I should have a decent view.” At his next suggestion, the elf’s expression grew slightly curious. She looked down at the hem of her dress, and frowned a bit. “Well, considering the fact that I’m wearing a dress,” Her voice was gentle, and warm, “Perhaps your shoulders would be slightly inappropriate.” Aidan couldn’t help but enjoy seeing the blush that crept into his cheeks. She smiled appreciatively, before proposing another suggestion, “But, if you wouldn’t mind helping me up the fence, I’ll sit there, and you can put your arm around my waist to make sure I don’t topple in either direction,” Aidan paused, before clarifying, a little doubtfully, “Would… That be acceptable?” She tilted her head slightly, attempting to look into Haucon's face
