"How do mega parents choose the names for their children? I hope you won't take this as offensive, but why did they choose that name for you?" It was an innocent enough question Galahdwen thought.

Blade smiled. "My mother wanted us to have names to aspire to, so that we could have legends told about us." He explained to Galahdwen. "There is actually as sad story about it. You see, Naga are born from eggs, and often times we are born in clutches. There were three of us, including myself in my mother's first clutch, but the Shamaness of our village identified us each when my mother laid our eggs. One of them was a female, and mother had taken her for a favorite. One night, an outsider broke into our home and stole us from the hatchery. My father caught wind of the incident and the warriors caught him before he could escape, and laden the outsider with venom. However, the outsider dropped us when this happened. The warriors caught my egg and my brother's, but our sister's was dashed against a rock. When mother got us back she blamed herself for what happened, claiming that it was her price for naming a favorite in egg. As a pre-hatching apology of sorts, she determined to name us with heroic names. My brother's name is Al'reven, which is the name for 'Spear of Hope.' " Blade took another long sip from his tankard and smiled at Galahdwen. "We have a younger sister now, but she was the only egg laid. And when I left mother was ripe to bear another clutch, according to the Shamaness."
Blade looked up at Kargeth and bowed graciously. "Your hospitality is greatly appreciated, Al'rosh!" He told him. "It would be excellent. And I am glad to know that the lady Elliya is alright."

Kargeth grinned from ear to ear. “Good to hear. I’ll have my darling wife set up the rooms when she gets done tending to Aika. She’s currently making sure that Aika is settled in for the night at Aika’s home next to the Inn. Cyreen be sure to check on Aika later to make sure that no one tries to harm her, though I doubt with her love there anyone will try anything foolish and her dear friends there. As for young Galahdwen here, would you like a job here at the Tavern and you as well young Naga in the shop I have set up in back for blacksmithing?”

I am so sorry to hear that Blade. I am glad that you and your brother survived, but that is so sad. Do you even feel like she flames you for not being the one who...." Galahdwen felt her gut twist. That was such an awful thing to ask! Why had she done it! The vampire looked down at her drink. "I am so sorry, that was uncalled for. I hope that all goes well with your mother's children."
Looking up at Kargeth she thanked him also. "Is Elliya your daughter?" She asked, trying to distract her self from the question. Galahdwen brightened. "A job here?! Really!? That would be wonderful sir! Simply wonderful!"

Blade smiled sadly. "I hope the best for my little brothers and sisters. I do certainly believe they will be fine. Mermen aren't allowed past the village docks anymore, after the incident." Blade looked at Kargeth and bowed graciously. "Thank you very much, Al'rosh! I would be very much honored to work in your blacksmith shop! I did learn a little of how to work at a forge in my home!" He gestured to the armor on his chest and the sword on his back. "I even helped make these with my father and our forgemaster!" He bowed to Kargeth again. "I would be honored to work with you.

“Why yes, young Ellyia, I mean Aika is my sweet daughter. She might not be an elf. She’s actually a changeling. She is able to change her forms but she has not yet learned how to do this having not been around people like her kind yet. She is quite adept however with the power of the elements which is why she is the guide of this forest. The tether that held her however prisoner recently was severed which I am happiest for. It means she won’t be killed by this forest any longer and can actually live her life while still being the guide of the forest, but be able to explore a lot easier long as she has protection seeing as there are still people out for her life possibly in knowing her powers.”
Kargeth knew he explained a bit much, but it was necessary as he saw his wife entered the tavern with a smile on her face. He’d hug and kiss his wife Talliya as he’d allow her to introduce herself.
“I’m Talliya, Kargeth’s wife and Aika’s mother. You both must be two of her newest friends. Kanna how are you doing young foxling? I am glad to hear that you will be working with my husband young naga. He could use the help.”
“Good! I love these two people! They are nice people!” Kanna meant Blade and Galahdwen as she hopped up and turned into a fox gently nudging Talliya’s leg to be petted.

Galahdwen smiled happily. "It sounds like your family is safe. That is quite a good thing. That is awesome though. But excuse me Kargeth sir. Should we be looking for a place in a near by area to stay while we work for you?"
Galahdwen ducked her head, a slight hint of blush formed on her frozen cheeks. "Forgive me." she said in a soft voice. "It is a pleasure to meet you ma'am.

"I am honored to be of service to one who helped raise the lady Elliya." Blade said respectfully. "Though I do have the same question as Galahdwen." He said to the pair.

“The inn of course. There shall be two rooms designated as your own personal rooms for as long as you stay. That is if you wish to stay in there. I run it.” Talliya smiled as she picked up Kanna who was rubbing against her leg and began to pet her.
“Wonderful idea my lily. What do you say you two? Take up my wife’s offer?”

"That would be excellent, Al'rosh, Le'elia. Thank you for your hospitality." Blade said pleasantly with a bow. He downed the rest of him mead happily and gulped down a piece of meat. The plate that had been stack high was nearly gone. The scaly bulge forming in Blade's stomach was obvious at this point. A sign of contentedness in Naga.

Galahdwen got up and bowed. "Thank you so much for your kindness. Indeed I would like to accept the offer." I have been looking for the two things you have offered. Indeed I cannot thank you two enough!"

“It is not a problem you two, for now enjoy yourselves in the tavern till the time comes you need to rest. I shall be awaiting in the inn. It is late though. I am turning in my dear.”
“Go rest Talliya, you have had a busy day attending to Aika. I pray the morning brings new light for us all.”

Talos carefully reached for the blanket and wrapped it around Aika's body with his free hand. He knew she still needed her rest and would be patient as she got it. He gently moved some hair away from her face as he watched her sleeping again.

Alia soon became weary of it just being the two of them and arose, intent of introducing herself to some of the newcomers. "Hey! Where ya going?" Arngrim asked, looking at Alia, a little surprised at her sudden movement. The man was content and had slipped off into his own little world.
Alia crossed her arms. "To introduce myself to the others. It's becoming bored staying here by ourselves! You coming?" Arngrim shook his head. "Nope." And gulped the last of drink down. "Ack. Maybe I will...." Alia sighed and shook her head. "Your only coming to refill your drink!" Arngrim smiled. "Yeah." He laughed. "But you spoke the truth. It is a little lonely." He then arose. "Well," He motioned for her to move forward. "Lead the way."
Alia glanced around before her eyes settled on the naga and the human sitting at a table. "C'mon." She said heading slowly towards them.

Aika gently nuzzled her face into Talos as she smiled. She was happy where she laid now. Her body even showed that as a happy sigh escaped her lips. She truly was drawn to him like a moth to the flames. Her body and soul was now latched onto Talos as if her new tether was molded to him.
