"Fish can die more easily with the change of a waters temperature from shock. Humans on the other hand, are more fun to watch die." Seshuyin said with a chuckle as he walked towards a bush. He grabbed a bag that was sitting there and sling it over his shoulder. A devils smile ran across his face as he left the area, walking towards the direction Skog left. The pupils in his eyes drastically changed to spirals as he wrapped a bandanna around his head as to hide the pointed elven-like ears that he has and zipping up his jacket all the way.

"Thank you for your help miss." Lance said looking to Melanie. "It is indeed sad that the angel Nyma sacrificed herself to create this barrier to protect the city but at least her death was not in vain."
"Now Raven how do you feel? Can you use your wing again?" Lance said kindly as he turned his attention to the little half angel

“Her memories are in me. She shared them with me. I know what she knows. She felt a threat against the city and the land. The city is in terrible danger. I doubt Nyma could have done else but create the barrier with her death, even though she wanted very much to live.” Melanie would smile softly, but she was still very much winded from using her powers a second time like she did. She’d create some flowers in her hand as she stood up a bit wobbly and took them over to Nyma’s grave. “Nyma, rest in peace my friend.”

"It feels a lot better. Thank you Melanie." Raven said flexing her wing, and rubbing her head. She watched Melanie walk toward the grave. A great sadness filled her. She had only gotten to know a bit about Nyma, why did it have to be this way. She sat beside Lance and watched her. "It's so sad." she said softly.

After several moments of not finding a signal from Nyma, Amos took the scanner off of his ear and hurled it across the room. "D*mmit," he muttered under his breath as the tiny device shattered against the wall. Not receiving a signal meant one of two things: either Nyma was blocking communication, or she was dead. The former soldier had a strong feeling that it was the latter. His promise to protect someone had been broken once again. To say Amos was angry would have been a gross understatement. The powers that be seemed to hate him.
He sighed heavily and let himself slide down the wall into a sitting position. At this point, he had no idea what to do.

Jack heard something hit a wall and felt a surge of anger. Quickly he turned his head to the sound. Letting out a yowl he hissed as well. "Knock it off out there a**h***!" He Said in a loud yet also hushed voice, not wanting to be to loud for the patients in the building.
He had no kind words for anyone who dared to disturb the silence. Looking towards Kaz he noticed her tail twitch, his ears perked up and he rushed to her side, "Kaz? Love, I'm here baby. I won't leave you sweetheart." He softly said to her as he grabbed her paw. Other than the twitch she remained still.
Through the blackness Kaz heard a soft voice flowing to her. She stood in the blackness looking around questioningly. 'Jack?' she called out, 'Jack, where are you? Where am I?' she asked in a small voice.
Sighing she closed her eyes a moment and when she reopened them she was in a forest. Looking around as she walked forward she recognized the area as one that her and some of her friends would play in. There was a small lake, only about twenty feet across and probably ten feet deep. Stepping up to it she saw her own reflection, then suddenly someone surfaced from under the water right in front of her. Falling backwards she watched herself, or rather a younger Kaz, jump from the water. Righting herself she sat back and watched, wondering what and why this was going on.
Suddenly she heard a yowl from the left. Turning to look she saw a familiar tiger shape emerging from the brush. Laughing to herself she knew what was going to happen next. Her younger self had just looked to the sound but not in time. Jack came running through the clearing and leaped into the air and shifted just before landing on top of Kaz, pinning her underneath him. Both laughing as they hugged and just lay there laughing. He loved to do that to her all the time.
Then Jack spoke up, "Hey, wanna come to the resort tonight for dinner? Uncle Longfeather is grilling out steaks and fish for us. thinking about having a big bonfire afterward." He stood and helped young Kaz to her feet, "Of course your family is welcome to." He added wrapping his tail around her wrist. Young Kaz wrapped her tail around Jack's wrist and they started heading towards her village. "Sure, I don't see why not. I am sure Mother and Father would love to as well."
As they walked away from the sun, into the moon's rising path, everything went back into blackness for Kaz. Sighing she felt a tear fall from her cheek. Twitching her tail she walked onwards through the darkness. So far the reliving moments had been happy ones, yet she knew it would not be long before that the one haunting memory would come back to her.
As she walked though she noticed the darkness seemed to lift slightly, there were faint shapes in it now. She saw a familiar face, yet she could not place where it was that she had met her.

"Thats good to hear." Lance said appreciatively that Raven felt better.
"So Miss Melanie if you have Nyma's memories then what threat is coming this way that Nyma would sacrifice herself so?" Lance asked to get to the point. He knew it couldn't be somethig minor for her to do something so reckless.

“Her memories detail a great fire that would encompass the whole city. I don’t know why, it’s like a great omen that she could not let come to pass. It was far worse than I could imagine. I don’t know where she got the omen from, other than she said the elements spoke to her in a way that they told her to protect the city at all costs to stop the coming war.” Melanie’s voice had a hint of powerful seriousness. She would not let anything detour her from maintaining that barrier if it came up, but not at the cost of her life.

Laurell rolled her eyes but before she could answer any question she caould see the mood change in several of those arround her. Seeing that someting had happend that they couls either sense or feel she took a quick scan of those in the warehouse. The two felines seemed to be feeling it as well and the male was dealing with the female. Several others seemed to be a bit distant including her dear friend Solzeni and the soldier boy they had as captive.
She gave a deep sigh and started to take a step to her friend when she heard the noise of Amos sliding down teh wall. Taking everything in from the device he had slung off to what he had told her earlier, she could only come to teh conclusion something had happend to the female, something that most likely had ended her life.
Cursing under her breath she clenched her jaw. The look in the mans eyes was easy to read, she had seen it in her own eyes when lookin in a mirror a few years ago. Kneeling down in front of the man she made him look her in the eyes and said, "Been there done that dude, now you can either wallow in self pity or stand with us and do something about it..." She didnt finish the rest of her statement since hse felt he would get the point, either way he was not leaving here as he came, he was going to walk with them or leave in peices in a bag. She stood up and left him there to himself saying, "Watch him, thou I don't think hes gonna be a problem."
WAking over ot her friend she reached out at touched Zeni's shoulder. "Come on and talk to me Zeni, whats goin on?"

“Nyma is dead.” Solzeni said the only thing that came to mind as she sat there distant in mind and in spirit. She seemed both lost and confused. It was the first time she lost someone she felt close to like Nyma. Nyma was like a daughter, least in Solzeni’s mind even if for a short time. Solzeni didn’t cry as she sat there though, as it seemed she couldn’t cry. Her inability to cry was clear. She had run out of tears with Nyma’s initial death.
“Get that man and take him to a room and lock him in it if he has to make such a ruckus.” Rage had patients to attend to and Solzeni was one of them today. She was less than her usual self. “So, old bat, got a case of depression I see and a bad one at that. Laurell unless you snap her back she might stay like this. This is from a doctor’s stand-point. She hears your voice.”

Amos knew that Laurell was right. He was useless in a catatonic state, and useless things were usually discarded. This man wasn't even in his thirties, he couldn't just let his own life fall short. He could think of two people off the top of his head that would want him to live on.
After a few moments, Amos began to stand. Princess, he thought, Nyma, I'm doing this for you. I will continue to fight for the people of this city. This is not my end. I will see you in heaven when my time comes.
As he reached a standing position, a guard approached him. "Oi," she said, "you can't jus..."
"Shove it," quipped the former soldier. "I'll be one of you soon enough." With that, Amos left the room to talk to the leader of the outfit. "Laurell, I won't be leaving in a body bag." He said nothing more, as he knew the determination in his eyes would say the rest. For the sake of the two he had let die, he would join Laurell's cause.

Raven looked between Lance and Malanie. She bowed her head sadly. The image of an angry Skog returned to her mind. She shivered feeling that collectively this was her fault. She hadn't helped Skog, and he may have turned aroudn in revenge. A tear fell down her cheek. "I'm sorry." She whispered to them.

Laurell watched her friend and took in what Rage had told her. SIghing deeply she knew she'd need to resort to something a bit more drastic to pull her vampire friend out of her current state of mind. SHe took her friends face in her hands and said as she looked in to Zeni's eyes, "Look either you drag your a** back ta me or Imma knock the ever lovin s**t outta ya. You can't do this to yourself... you told me teh same and now it's time for you to do teh same damned thing you told me to years ago." she said dead seriouly hoping her friend would respond to her voice verses having to deck her.
Hearing Amos comming bahind her she glanced at him and nodded her head, "Welcome to hell dude... cuz you're gonna be wishin you had taken the body bag option..." Letting Zeni go she moved a bit quicker than it would seem as she pulled her knife from her belt and turned it on Amos. Not aiming to kill him but to draw his blood she sliced at his chest and jumped back to survey him her eyes all buisness and ice cold. "That was only one thing you're gonna have to deal with dude... I'm not gonna make this easy for ya jsut cuz ya lost your girl toy... you're gonna earn your place here like everyone else had to."

"Why are you apologizing for Raven?" Lance asked as he looked down at Raven quizzically. You didn't force Nyma to protect the city and you are not the one that fulfills her vision of fire and destruction so you have no reason to be sorry."

Solzeni just continued to sit there for the longest time before her eyes moved a little from their blank stare as she shoved Laurell away from her. “Don’t speak like that again Laurell. I might be in a depressed move, but like hell I’m going to let you deck me.” Solzeni’s smirk and fiery luster seemed to have returned.
Melanie would return to Lance and Raven as she gave them a bow of apologies for walking off as she did. “Would either of you care for something to eat. My treat. I am personally hungry.”
