Lore grinned as he let Garrick down, he bent over and held the boy's hands.
"He's always far more active," Lore murmured thoughtfully.
He looekd down at the little babe who was no doubt happen to be free, and just as happy to break loose, if he could, but Lore of course held onto his hands.

The moment Garrick's feet touched the floor he giggled with glee and tried to walk forward, just about tripping over his own toes.
"Bah!" he squealed, looking up at Lore upside-down, his green eyes shining brightly. Then he looked ahead of himself and started forward once more, all of his weight on Lore's hands.
Elnara laughed. "Just wait until he can walk on his own, we're going to have to keep sharp eye out for him," she grinned. She looked down at Hana, who was slurping on her own fingers. "And what about you, are you going to be just as active once you start walking?" she giggled.

Lore took a step at a time, walking along with Garrick at a pace he was not use to, but he couldn't help but be amused. It felt like he was waddling along with Garrick, but Garrick who was babbling (or commenting as it were) on the things around him, it was just fun to watch.
"Quite possibly," Lore laughed.

Hana was watching her brother intently, sucking on three of her fingers at once.
"Dseh," she said, looking up at Elnara and pointing her hand at her brother. A trail of drool went from her hand to her mouth and dripped on Elnara's shirt.
Elnara just smiled. "Yes, he's learning to walk," she said softly. "And someday soon you will, too. Just like what you do with the couch, yes? Except perhaps you can walk with Mama and Papa, just like Garrick."
Garrick was picking up speed now, toddling as fast as his feet would let him without tripping him. He had a very proud look on his face, and he was still jabbering away at everything he saw.

Reave and Atalya were still in the study - Tinuviel had left them by now to join her family for lunch. But with the noise that the others were making in the corridor, they weren't in there long. Both of them left the room to find out what the noise was.
"My, my," Atalya smiled warmly, though her face was a little paler than it had been before. "Would you look at that."
"They're growing up far too fast," Reave chuckled, fully realizing how ironic his words were - considering they had been born nine years previous, in their world.

Lore chuckled trying to keep up, he found it a bit hard since he was the one bent over so Garrick could hold onto his hands. He looked up a bit to see Atalya and Reave in the hallway, he had been watching Garrick the whole time.

Elnara giggled at her grandparents' words. "Well, Hana's not so fond of walking like that quite yet," she smiled, "but Garrick ... well, he's non-stop energy. Still, I'm sure Hana will be catching up to him soon enough."
Hana stuck her fingers back in her mouth as if saying that she didn't particularly care.

Reave chuckled softly. "I'm sure she will," he said warmly. As Elnara approached, he held out his hands. "May I?" he asked, motioning towards Hana.
Atalya was watching Garrick and Lore. "One thing I can say in favour of the time difference between our worlds," she murmured, "is that it's nice to be able to see them as children ... nine years have passed since we received the letter of their birth ... seeing them still so small was a bit of a surprise, I have to admit."

"I guess it's hard to imagine until you see it, just how much the time difference is," Lore commented softly, "After all, the other children, they grow fast, so in some ways the time difference doesn't really matter."
Because they made up for it by being adults all in due time, but.. well a century could past and the two would just maybe barely be out of toddlerhood.

Elnara smiled at her grandfather and passed Hana over to him. Hana's eyes grew wide, but she didn't make a sound as she went over to the king, just stared up at his unfamiliar face.
"But we'll be here a while," Elnara smiled warmly at Lore before turning back to her grandparents, "so you'll get to see them growing up a little bit, at least. And depending on how long we stay," she added with a giggled, "you may get to see Garrick take his first step on his own."
He was already trying so hard to walk by himself, but he just couldn't do it without holding onto furniture, or having someone hold his hands.
Garrick looked up at Lore and tried to turn around so that he could keep walking without anyone in his way, but his foot caught on his own ankle and he fell to his knees. "Bah!" he giggled, pulling on Lore's hands and trying to stand up again.

Reave bounced Hana carefully in his arms and started cooing at her in elvish.
Atalya smiled widely at Lore and Elnara, and some of the colour returned to her cheeks. "Yes," she murmured softly. "It is wonderful that you can spend some time here ..."
She held back a sigh. She only wished that such peaceful times could last ... but how could they, with such a terror as the morgawr on the loose, intent on destroying everything in its sight?

"Silly," Lore chuckled helping Garrick up again, "Come on.. this way."
Lore didn't really want to be going in the other direction and tried instead ot get Garrick to walk to Atalya instead. He smiled up at Atalya, it seemed like whatever was going on had been taking it's toll on her.
"And it is good for us too," he added.

Garrick's eyes filled with pride as he regained his footing, and he set off once more, trying to walk as far as he could. He had no interest in the people who were standing there - he just wanted to walk!
Elnara's eyes were focused on her grandmother. "Something is bothering you," she murmured softly, "more so than when we went upstairs. You try to hide it but ... Nako, I know you too well ..."

Atalya shrugged off Elnara's worried comments and smiled. "Everything will be all right, don't you worry," she said in a voice of forced cheer. "Now come, everyone else will already be eating their meals already - they've been as eager to meet the twins as we were, we should go so that we don't disappoint them."
Reave, still playing with Hana, started off down the hall, and Atalya walked a bit slower so that she could stay with Lore and Elnara.

Lore wanted to ask, but felt like he shouldn't. Even though he couldn't help but wonder what was wrong.
"And how has everyone else been doing," he decided to change the subject, perhaps it would be better.
