Raquel was taken aback by his kind manner. She jerked her hand back a bit, standing on her own, dusting herself off. "I'm j-just fine. ...Thanks." She attempted to regain her attitude. "Though I don't take charity...from anyone." She added, flipping her hair back. "Just because you 'save me' and invite me up to your hotel room, Doesn't mean that I'm going to give you a freebie." She glared. "I have more self respect than that." She crossed her arms, her short dark hair falling into her fierce green eyes once more.

Well, that was entirely unexpected.
"Excuse me?" he asked, cocking an eyebrow at her. "You must be truly deranged to think that I took you for a... well." It seemed quite awkwardly enough that that was precisely what she was. A prostitute, though? Her?
"Regardless, I was not asking for a 'freebie.' I was asking you to come with me so I could give you ice... he hurt you, I saw that." Once more, Damian extended his kindness, along with his elbow so that if she did accept, they could at least be seen as a proper couple or something other than 'business partners.'
"It is not charity that I am offering, simply something that I want to do for you. Charity implies that I am extending a kindness simply for the benefits of being seen as a generous person, yes?"

Raquel looked him up and down inquisitively. She finally reluctantly took his arm sighing slightly. "Fine...alright. But not for too long, 5 minutes at the most, I can't afford not to work tonight..." She confided coldly, feeling her stomach tremble a bit. "I'm paid hourly and tonight is m only night to work this week. So I can't slack off alright?" She added haughtily, as if she were a strong willed business woman, running late for an appointment.

"I'll compensate you." The way she had worded the response told him enough. This woman was better than this profession, just as Lorey was pushed into being a cleaning woman because that was what she had to do to survive. Damian's mind made this connection, and immediately this woman became something far more than a victim recovering from a blow.
"My name is Damian," he told her, purposefully keeping his last name to himself. "You do not have to tell me your name if you do not want to." He lead her to the elevator very carefully, knowing that she was probably very sore and hurt.

She cocked an eyebrow at him when he said he'd compensate her. She smirked. "Well...Since you're being 'oh so kind'," She chuckled a little. "I don't see the harm in you knowing my name....I'm Raquel." She introduced herself, keeping her last name hidden as well. "And if you don't mind me asking...if you aren't here looking for 'entertainment' then why is a gentleman of you're statue doing in this part of town?" She asked, curiosity sparkled in her eyes.

At that, he scoffed. "I would not ask that of any woman as if they were a service to take part in." Of course, he had made little joking implications with Lorey, but... he never meant it. He really had just wanted to spend time with her, see her smile. That was all.
"But... I am here because I have no where else to go at the moment. I am making arrangements elsewhere for myself and a few friends, but this is my lot at the moment." With a dull ding, the elevator opened, and he lead her to the room where everyone was asleep. Before turning the handle, Damian pressed a finger to his lips. "My two friends are actually a couple, and they are asleep."

Raquel nodded, leaning against the door way before following Damian into the suite. Indeed, just as he had said, a young woman, around Raquel's age perhaps, was asleep in the arms of a very muscular, very attractive male. He looked fairly familiar but she said nothing, following Damian into the kitchen area, taking a seat at one of the small chairs under the table provided.
*sorry to god mode a tad.*

Damian fished out the ice from the small refridgerator, and placed it in a makeshift bag made from paper towels. "Here," he said, and handed it to Raquel. "Why didn't you call for help?" he inquired with a grave seriousness. "You were not even fighting him. Why?"
He spoke softly, so as not to wake anyone, but there were quite a few things that greatly troubled him about this whole situation.

Raquel took the ice and winced as she placed it against her cheek. "Eh...I'm used to it..." She sighed, her eyes watering slightly. Though she paid no notice. "It's just part of the job you know...I've been treated like that since i was a teen..." She sighed and leaned forward a bit, rubbing the back of her long neck gently. "I never fight back...only occasionally. I find that if i just let them do what they want, they'll get bored by the time my nose is bleeding and take off. If I provoke them, they take their time." She explained as if it were just a normal trivial matter. "The same goes for when I'm 'on the job'..." Her body trembled slightly at the thought again ,going unnoticed by her.

Damian looked at her in slight disgust. His mind reeled with different possibilities of how he could save her... they'd only just met, but he needed to be a better person, for Lorey and Richard. If this woman was the first step into becoming that... then he should take it.
"What if..." he began. "What if I hired you for a completely different reason than what it is you've found yourself doing?" He himself took a seat across from her. The bruise upon her face was becoming more and more evident, and he needed to make it so that she never had to defend herself again.

Raquel looked up at him confused. "What do you mean?" She asked, laying the ice down on the table fora moment. "Are you sure you can afford me?" She joked with a smirk on her face. "What good could i be for you huh? Answer me that." Her seductive eyes squinted slightly as if trying to look straight through his eyes to read his should. She had that penetrating quality. Most found it intimidating, others endearing. Either way it was something she couldn't help.

"Darling, you've no idea."
He debated with himself telling her everything, everythihng. Right down to the mysteries behind his friends, but they were innocent in this scheme. Damian stood to get the blood flowing back in his hangover veins.
"Let me just say that I have more than enough money to keep my friends, myself, and you comfortable for quite some time. But because I've fallen on hard times, I don't have the proper image that I'd like... if you'd be willing to simply be seen with me and I with you, we could work something out." To be seen with a beautiful woman would erase any doubt peopole had that he was no longer living comfortably... it would be stupid, but worth a shot. And he would be keeping her out of trouble. Win win, as far as he could see.

She raised one slender eyebrow, intrigued by his offer. It would be a lot better than the slums she'd been hanging around. After mulling it around in her head for a moment or two, she nodded. "Alright...You've got a deal... with one exception...No falling in love with me OK Ace?" She smirked and gave him a joking wink as she offered her hand to finalize, the same sparkle in her eye.

"We'll talk about payment and all of that once you're well again."
Though her mocking words haunted him. He couldn't make that promise... but he also knew that his love for Lorey wouldn't go anywhere for such a long time. He couldn't tell her that, though.

Raquel nodded, stretching out her back and letting out a strangely sweet little moan as she stretched. "It sound's like I'm going to be here for awhile...Would it be ok if I grabbed one or two of my things at my place?" She asked, not wanting to leave certain items of value alone for more than a few hours.
