Aras flinched at Corrah's tone and his words, and she could just about feel the anger that seemed to have consumed him. She didn't know what had happened ... but she knew that obviously something had. She felt small and alone all of a sudden ... and she wanted to walk close with Kanis, hold her hand for comfort ... but she didn't know if that would be a good idea ...
The rest of the walk back was made in silence, and Corrah led them until they once more reached the place where the children had spent the night.
"Sit," he told them crisply. "Rest. Kanis, come here for a moment, I want to talk to you."
And he headed off towards the trees, stopping where he could still see the children, and they could still see him, but where Aras and Ruran would not be able to overhear them. He still held Rhea in his arms, but he wasn't worried about the boy.

Ruran sat near his too small bed and looked at his fire pit. He wondered what Corrah was going to do with his two favorite trainees. He rolled his eyes, "What do you think they are talking about?" He asked Aras in a calm tone. And he thought about trying to upset her and maybe get Aras to go over and get Corrah farther angry.
Rhea sat up a bit in the arms and looked over at Aras. He wanted to go sit with her but Corrah did not seem to want to let go of him. He tilted his head and looked at Corrah then at Kanis.
Kanis was moving over to her stuff to sit down when Corrah snapped her name. She nods and moved to follow him, "Yes sir." Well she had to have done something wrong now. Well she would fine out soon enough.

Aras put her small belts into her small bag along with her small sandals, her back to Ruran as she put her things together.
"I don't know," she replied softly. "I ... guess Corrah's mad about something ..."
She felt bad for her sister. She didn't think Kanis had done anything wrong ... why was she going to be yelled at?
When they were safely out of earshot of the other children, Corrah knelt to Kanis's height and looked into her eyes, his expression worried.
"Kanis," he said softly, gently, "what I'm going to ask you might seem a little strange, but I need you to give me an honest answer. You're not in any trouble, don't worry, I just need to know this."
He paused, his expression growing more anxious. "When Ruran was under the cloak with you," he murmured, "and he had his hand on your hip ... did it make you feel uncomfortable, or embarrassed, or anything like that?"

Ruran nods, "Yes he must be mad...though I am sure he will get over it. Though he must not be too mad he took the stupid wolf with him." He shrugged, "You don't suppose he is thinking about matching them up do you? Armus was they one who thought you and the wolf would be a good training set...but she has not been around lately has she?"
Kanis watched Corrah knell and the expression in his eyes and the way he was acting confused her. "Your not going to send me home are you sir? I am sorry if I upset you." she said at his pause.
When Corrah went on and he seemed a bit more worried, she started to grow worried. As he spoke Kanis could not look into his eyes, "He was getting out of the cloak like you asked sir..." she looked at the ground confused and nervous again. "I don't want to cause problems sir. I am sorry that I angered you sir."

At Ruran's suggestion that Corrah might be pairing up Rhea and Kanis, Aras couldn't help but look sharply over at the secretive group. Armus had said she would be the one to be Rhea's partner ... and she wanted to be! Had one of them done something wrong?
"Well ... she was here last night," she said doubtfully. "Maybe she just has something else to do ... besides, Corrah was going to be our trainer, not Armus ..."
But hadn't Armus promised the girls that she would be around if only for emotional support?
Corrah shook his head slowly, saddened by her words.
"Kanis, I told you ... you aren't in any trouble," he assured her. "I'm not going to send you home ... and you are not the cause of any problems. I only want to make sure that Ruran is not causing any problems for you."
He looked at her thoughtfully for a moment, still very worried about her.
Finally he murmured, "If he ever does anything to make you feel uncomfortable ... or embarrassed ... don't let him. Ever. All right? You did not anger me ... he did. You just let me know if there are ever any problems with him, all right? You are a bright student, Kanis, and I see a great potential in you ... I would love to continue to train you, to bring out the best in you. If Ruran is bothering you, he will only hamper your progress, and it is best if that doesn't happen."
He put one hand on her shoulder and gave it a light squeeze. "Promise me?" he smiled gently. "If he bothers you, you will tell me?"

Ruran smiled, "Well if Corrah is our trainer and not Armus, and she was the one who said you and him would be partners and has not told Corrah or she is not around often Corrah then he might switch the partners. Maybe it will be you and me." he laughed.
Kanis looked at the hand on her shoulder. "Its it not okay for brother's to kiss their sister?" She nods, "I will try not to let him distract me sir. And If he does I will let you know sir. I want to grow strong and back you and my mom and dad very proud i don't want to let any of you down." She said and smiled up at him.

Aras's eyes grew more and more alarmed at her brother's suggestions. It made perfect sense - but why would Corrah do that? Armus had said he wasn't as mean as he seemed ... why would he partner Rhea with Kanis?
"But we don't know that's what he's doing," she tried to argue, though her argument was weak. "Maybe they're talking about something else ..."
Corrah was thoughtful for a moment. Perhaps she really didn't understand ... or perhaps it had truly been an innocent incident. They were children, after all ... though he was certain that on Ruran's part, at least, there had been no innocence at all. After all, how many surprise stage children knew about perverts and perversion?
Corrah had a gut feeling about that boy, and it was not a good one.
But Kanis obviously knew nothing about it. Perhaps it was better that way. Probably not, but there was no reason - yet - to make her scared of her own brother.
"Thank you," he said softly, offering her his own uneasy smile. He straightened up once more and squeezed her shoulder one final time before motioning back towards the others. "Go on, then, take a rest," he told her gently, his eyes friendly for once, though he was still feeling a little uneasy. "You're going to have a busy afternoon."

Ruran shrugged again, "Well I don't know why else the three of them would be talking about." He turned to look at Aras, "You really have a crush on that wolf don't you...you want him more than a training partner don't you?" He nods, "Maybe that is why Corrah thinks you should split up...because you two would not be concentrating on the training?"
Kanis didn't want to get anyone in trouble, she sighed softly, "Is it bad to kiss on parts that arn't on the face or hand?" She asked softly and he motioned for her to return and rest.
She did not know why Corrah seemed upset. "Yes sir...I will rest now."

Aras's temper flared, and Ruran lost whatever sympathy he might have been getting from her in that instant.
"What I think of Rhea is no business of yours, Ruran!" she exclaimed hotly, her cheeks reddening as she jumped to her feet, fists clenched tightly at her sides. "Don't talk about things you don't know about!"
And she turned on her heel and stomped off to find a place where she could sit by herself, without having to listen to Ruran, and without having to watch Corrah with Rhea and Kanis.
Corrah nodded at Kanis gently, trying not to be too overbearing.
"Yes," he murmured. "It is. Unless the person doing it is your mate or lover, it is very wrong."
He smiled faintly at her. "Yes ... go join the others, if you would like ... I will bring Rhea to Armus, and then I will be back with some food for the three of you."

Ruran raised a brow a bit and rolled his eyes, "I will take that as a yes." he said and watched Kanis walking back and smiled at her and the two males. It was great timing on their part.
Kanis blushes and nods, " Yes sir...I will keep that in mind. Sorry again sir." she said and bowed her head to him before trotting back over to the campsite.
She moved to her little stop to think things over.
Rhea tilted his head, "we not go with them?" He asked softly and looked up at Corrah. He could feel the change in the male that was they only reason he spoke.

Corrah chuckled at Rhea, suddenly over-amused by his innocence after the incident that had just taken place.
"We're going to find Armus," he grinned at the boy, ruffling his hair affectionately as he stood and started off through the trees towards the area where he and Armus had spent the previous night. "She doesn't know that you've grown yet - I'm sure she'll be proud. Besides, you need new clothes."
Though he had to wonder what the boy would do in the meantime. He would probably not keep Corrah's robes on, and he couldn't run around naked ... no, judging by what had been going on during the swimming lesson, that wouldn't be a good idea. He wasn't sure how Niyana would react if Aras became physically involved with the wolf - at least, this early in life - but he was willing to bet that it wouldn't go over well.
Aras looked up at Kanis as she returned and bit her lip thoughtfully, aching to know what Corrah had wanted to talk to her about. But on the other hand, she knew that Kanis had been the one called over for a reason, and not her ... so she probably didn't need to know.
And yet, if it involved Rhea, then it did ... at least, it did in her mind.
She scooted over to her sister, trying to act casual, and smiled softly at her.
"What did Corrah want?" she asked Kanis softly. "Were you in trouble for anything?"

Rhea giggled and wriggled in the cloak. "Kanis no kiss?' He asked and then smiled more, "Aras okay kiss?" He smiled brightly at Corrah and licked his lips. He wanted to make sure it was okay, though he could not stop himself he knew it.
Kanis looked a bit shocked at her sister coming to her. She wondered why her sister was so worried. "Um...no I am not in trouble...non of us are. He is just taking Rhea to find Armus...they will be back with lunch."

Aras's smile came a little more easily then, though she was still a little edgy.
"Well, I'm glad for that," she murmured softly; then she looked back at her sister once more. "He didn't ... say Rhea wasn't going to be my partner anymore, did he?"
She bit her lip anxiously. "Ruran said he was probably making Rhea your partner instead ..."
Corrah chuckled at Rhea and squeezed him gently in a light hug. "If you truly love Aras," he murmured, "and she lets you, then yes you may kiss Aras."
He wondered how Rhea viewed such things, and how he would go through the entire courtship process. His wolfish nature was still very much a big part of him, and Corrah had no idea how human the boy was.

Kanis raised a brow. "Um...no...you and Rhea are still partners. Why wouldn't you be? Do you have a cursh on him Aras?" she asked looking at her smiling happy sister.
Rhea nods, "Aras...smells.....good....want to know more." he smiled his tail wagging. He leaned forward and licked Corrah's arm. He giggled and smiled. "Rhea wants to sniff more....she smells good."
Ruran nods, "Well then Aras looks like you get to keep the wolf as your partner." he rolled his eyes

Aras was so relieved that she flopped down on the ground beside her sister and lay her head on her shoulder.
"Maybe," she smiled, blushing hotly. "I don't know ... I mean, I like him ... I like him a lot ... but I don't know if it's a crush or what ..."
When Ruran had to put in his own two cents worth, though, her temper flared once more, and she glared at him angrily.
"Go away, Ruran!" she shouted at him. "This has nothing to do with you!"
Corrah chuckled softly. The boy was growing up fast, learning new things and sure enough, following the instincts of his race. Well, there was nothing wrong with that.
"Just make sure," he smiled softly, "that whatever you do with Aras, that she wants to do it too. Never make her do anything she doesn't want to, all right? Because if you do, you will just hurt her, and you don't want to do that, do you?"
