Beware...Shadow had known quite a few people in his travels, and one of his acquaintances knew tech inside and out. You give him a couple of minutes to inspect any sort of device, or ship, and he'd give you the thumbs up and the exact amount of time he would take. Shadow was good, but he doubted anyone could fix it as well as this toad. "Well, truly astounding job..." The Halberd was not only fixed, you could even tell any damage ever happened. It even ran a lot smoother. McKnight was a bat of his word and payed up. "I'm gonna need to take some big jobs to earn that back, and I'll need to be more careful." Shadow got his battleship back to the hangar and decided to leave it there, the Dragoon would be sufficient to accomplish any task. He then remember abruptly leaving the phoenix and Koudo, and he hoped that the komodo dragon would understand Shadow's urgency. This is when he started looking up new assignments. ...Metaknight has arrived

Okay, are you listening? Grass grows, Birds fly,"This is all I have dammit..." He said quietly to himself. "My only investment." He was pissed. His leg wasn't doing that much better. I guess that contributed a bit to his mood. "Even if their where relics in Meteo," He said aloud, "I wouldn't doubt it if they where all destroyed when Shadow fired all of the guns on his damned capital ship into the field."

Oull tore out the last of the broken parts and looked around for some spare parts. "Hmm, maybe their in the kitchen." He walked over to the kitchen, careful not to step in any puddles because he couldn't tell what was in them, and the last thing he needed was stepping on some rusty nail. Inside the kitchen he looked around in the bare cupboards but only found the last cups of noodles and some soda, but no spare parts.
Where are those things!" This really didn't help with his anger as he continued to look around for the parts. He finally found a small box of parts in one of the higher cupboards. "Now how did they get up here?" He hopped up and caught a hold of the box and landed back down, a couple of parts hitting the ground. "This will have to do."

Val wasn't sure if he was speaking to her or not, but despite her irritation with her sudden good mood it refused to leave, so she decided to answer. Or try. Her mouth was full of sandwich. "I wouldn't worry about it if I were you; the relic is probably already with my people. I know for a fact that the Cornerian government already knows about your team's efforts, and they, unlike me, were impressed by your antics. As such, they'll probably take care of your ship." She said this last bit almost resignedly. In her opinion, he deserved a sharp kick in the... shins for chasing after X like that; it had certainly cost her the rest of her current mission, and, more importantly, it had cost her pilot his commanding officer.
She changed the subject before she could work herself up to being grumpy again. "So have you encountered this Shadow person before? I've only read the files."

Koudo decided he would see if McKnight was alright, he may have been too worried about his ship. A man's ship or even a woman is liek one of their flesh and blood, losing it or even having a chance of lsoing it could change a person's views for quite awhile. Koudo was in his quarters, sitting in his sit and spin chair, kicking back and looknig at the ceiling fan go around and around. Koudo kicked forward and grabbed the com, dialing into McKnight's frequency to at least see what was up.
"Hey buddy! Pick up, your ship gonig to make it?"

((Sorry, Snake. I forgot about this thread because you can't subscribe to guild threads. My bad. I am still alive))
Val was pissed. All around his ship, things were broken. Crystals, glass, sculptures. But none of that mattered to him. No. When that friggin ship suddenly blasted all over the asteroids where he was, he destroyed the cargo he had needed.
It was that that truly had him pissed. His mission, down the drain. Now he had to clean out his cargo bay, because it was filled with mush. Banana mush. That had been his mission. Get "z" amount of bananas, and transport them to area "y." Now they were damaged goods, and he couldn't collect. This was definitely going to be another three day job, just to clean up. Damn that ship and its trigger-happy captain.
((What? Thought that I found the 'relic' that everyone was talking about? Nope, just some fruit))

Okay, are you listening? Grass grows, Birds fly,((Thats okay Magnavar. X_X You made it sound like you found the relics. That really changed the direction of the entire plot. How funny.)) Fokkusu did say anything to her. Well, not until she mentioned Shadow. "He is an a** hole. He thinks because he has a big ship and lots of money he can do whatever he wants, whenever he feels like. I bet he woke up today going, 'Hmm, I think I am going to take the Halberd for a spin, and maybe blow up a big chunk of Meteo today...'" You could be blind, deaf, and mute and still know how much Fokkusu hates Shadow. "Rich b*****d... I'm the better pilot. All Shadow is, is lucky."

((and you got mad at me for nothing snake)) Oull rested the box of parts in the cockpit where he could reach it easily. He grabbed a wrench and pulled the wing against the broken section, with quite a few curses and grunts, and grabbed the first part.
After several minutes the first part was connected and both wing sections were staying together. He grabbed the next part and caught a look at the box that had annoyed him so much earlier. "Hmm, well I've got nothing ebtter to try." He threw the part he was holding at the top and it hit the center of the containers lid. The middle section glowed blue for a section and the lid pulled apart as oull stared at it. "Well who would have known?" He walked over to it and looked inside, but it was too dark inside the box. "Darn, can't see."

(( O.O Wow. Now everyone is going to look mindblowingly stupid.))
Val chuckled. "God, tell me how you really feel; holding stuff back isn't good for you. Do I detect an edge of bitterness? There's something to be said for that sort of spontaneous lifestyle." She knew that it wasn't particularly nice to poke fun at an obviously sore subject, but he hadn't even responded to her admittedly sad attempts to cheer him up.

((Yep. But that is a mistake that anyone could have have made, even in real life. A lone ship in the middle of an asteroid field, no reason to be there. You guys out searching for an ancient relic, so you add two and two and get five. Makes perfect sense to me))

((sorry dude, I've had people coming in and out of my house for over a day now, ive had no time to post. I intended to depart anyways, so lets just have our characters split)) Done with the dolphin, Jack flew back to The Overlord. He wasn't entirely satisfied with what Marin had said, but he felt he would get no more out of him. He entered the hangar and rode the elevator up to the bridge. He snapped his fingers and a hatch opened in the floor, sending a chair spiraling upwards to the floor before locking in place. He sat down, and brought up a holographic interface. In a moment the hangar door was closing itself, and Jack began to prepare The Overlord for Atmospheric Departure.

((You were PMing me just fine ealier... stare ))
Marin sighed when Jack went away, he got answers and didn't even have to answer any that he asked, he didn't even ask Marin's name. Repairs complete, flight now stable. Thanks Sparks, I wonder if we'll ever meet Jack again. I'd rather we not. Marin chuckled at Sparks comment and then sat up and walked over to his ship, when he got close the field around it stopped and the ship appeared. "Hello Pod, nice to see you again. Sparkler." A flicker of light that was Sparks flew from Marin's fingertips to the Pod and minutes later he was heading into the air towards space. "Let's see if we can find anything in the Meteo belt."

Oull flipped the container over and a strange ship part fell out onto the broken wing. "Weird, looks like something tht goes in the engine." He picked up the device and looked it over, on the bottom was a strange blue mark that wasn't affected by the crest that covered the device. He just looked at it and then looked at his burnt out thruster. "Hmm, oh what the heck, I've got nothing to lose." He grabbed his tools and got to work with placing the device in his thrusters.
After several minutes he finally had it in, and had fixed the problem with the thruster so it wouldn't burn out again any time soon. "Ah, now I can finish up with that wing and I'll be good to get back to the others."
