Manuke stepped leisurly across the beach. He had just gotten off of a boat, and wanted to stretch his legs after the ride. The cold was starting to get to him, but he continued. "Man...." sighed Manuke, "I should've asked for directions...". Whistling to pass the time, he started drifting aimlessly until he could find someone to point him in the right direction.

[do i look like a lifeguard c** tour guide to everyone?! scream jk XD I need to build up my contacts in Shima heart ]

Mind still pondering the events that had transpired in the past half hour, Kane finally reached the shoreline again, and what should he see but another traveller, but in much better shape compared to the last one. Kane was admittedly curious about this new arrival. It seemed that Shimagakure was getting a sudden influx of travellers and refugees. This one was kinda small and actually looked kind of cute with his small stature and the way his clothes looked like they were about to engulf him. He reminded him of Kazuma way back then. His natural Yamanaka charms tingled, and Kane stepped over to him, gingerly making his way over the various pieces of wood left over from storms, shipwrecks et cetera.

"Hi," he said, with a small smile, although he was still cautious and his eyes strayed back to the village so that if this was some sort of ruse he'd know which way to go. "Who are you?"

Senritsu strolled with her hands in her pockets to the beach. She hadn't brought her jacket with her from the day before from home, and since she didn't even bother going back home to sleep that night, why should she bother to go now? Her mother would just be gawking over her little sister and her father would just be fawning over her brother, so what need of importance would her appearance be? Nothing more than a nuesance to her 'perfect' siblings or her 'perfect' parents. She scuffed as she kept her pace down the shoreline. The shaggy-haired girl quickly got tired and plopped her butt down and pulled her feet into an indian position, having her arm propped up on her knee and leaning her chin in her palm. Senritsu never liked venting her anger, it always caused other people worries or whatever it was they had over her. She was just the forgotten street-child that barely gets out of being called 'homeless', even if she moved out, her parents wouldn't notice in the slightest. They wouldn't even care... The girl's eyes lowered, and then gently closed. With a sigh, her free hand raised and cupped her face in accompany with her other hand.

She really didn't know anyone in the village, and any friends she DID have, either moved or just don't talk to her anymore. She was older than most of the kids at the Academy because she always skipped and never learned anything. She'd been in the Academy since she was six or seven, and now, even at thirteen, she was in the Academy. Six years of nothing but being a failure to her parents and to those around her. Her friends in her original level had already graduated the Academy and moved to other villages to be Shinobi and Gennin, while little Sen was stuck in about the same state she was when she first arrived. She was nothing but a stupid girl with nothing to offer anyone. Nothing more than a street-walking child who has to shoplift to even get a meal... Senritsu hated her living conditions; the way she's always been treated since her siblings arrived; the way her parents ignored and critisized her every move; the fact she had no friends; her very existance.

The morning child lifted her head from her hands and repositioned herself into her indian-style sitting. Senritsu hadn't let anything get to her in a long time, why now? Why would she allow such stupid thoughts to enter her mind and control her feelings? She was a smart girl! Not stupid! How could she ever allow herself to think that way? Or perhaps, maybe she was stupid, for allowing such things to even momentarily take control of her emotions, something she scarcely allowed to strain away from happy. Whiping away the small tear stains that were causing her cheeks to burn due to the chill of the air, she lifted herself from the snow to stand, and prove to herself, in some way, that she had the strength to stand on her own.

The old man continued his "perilous" adventure across the snowy shoreline at an even slower pace than he had originally set out on. He continued to search his mind for the reason that he had left the comfort of his warm fire to venture out into the uncomfortable weather of Shimagakure's winter. It was on the type of day that made one thankful for being indoors, relaxing by the fire with a book or a tasty cup of tea. However, while the goosebumps peppered across his wrinkled skin were unpleasant, they reminded him of the recklessness that he had once known to be his younger days. Old age had worn both his body and spirit, but deep down in his heart lingered that hyper kid that would leap at the mere hint of an adventure. His eyelids slipped shut for a few moments as he savored these thoughts as if they were a sweet morsel.

After nearly falling asleep while walking along the beach with his eyes closed, the man snapped to attention and realized that he needed to either figure out what it was that he was doing out by the shoreline or get himself home. He opened his eyes to a pair of foggy spectacles, but was feeling too lazy to remove them from his face for cleaning and continued to pace right along. The man eventually spotted a dark figure, distorted by the clouds that had gathered on his lenses. He tilted his head slightly and attempted to converse with the figure, not really knowing if it was a person at all. In reality, he was speaking to the empty space about a meter left of the girl. Though he couldn't tell her position or if she was a she at all, the girl would know that he was obviously speaking to her. "Why hello there," he creaked with a friendly voice,
"I came down to this beach for something important and ended up forgetting what it was that I was up to. Would you please help me remember?" Since he couldn't be sure if he was actually talking to anyone or not, the man would wait a few moments for a response and then move on if he only heard the sound of the waves sliding themselves against the shore and the wind whipping around the salty and chilling air.

Senritsu stood, a little caught off gaurd by the elderly man who had spoken to her. "Oh! Hello, sir." She smiled and turned her body towards the elderly person who had come to her for aid. "I'd be glad to help you." She got a little bit closer to the man and looked at him for a moment. "Sir, do you remember anything at all? Like what you were doing before you even got here?" Senritsu would practically need to interrogate the man before she could get any remote clue as to what it was the man was trying to do when he was making his walk over. The man didn't answer at first, only staring at the empty place he had been as the girl spoke. "What was I doing," he repeated after her, seeming to be thinking of the question itself more than the answer to it. Senritsu merely stood before him, her smile never tired as she thought about what it could be the man was thinking of. Perhaps he was thinking of the place he was at? Or maybe who it was he was speaking with? What if one of his family members set him on a trip to go to the market to pick up food or toiletries? No, no good family member would send an elderly man out to do something a younger person could do easily without any sort of problems. He'd have probably walked home a moving cup of sweet ice if he hadn't asked her to help him. She held her hands on her hips as she awaited the man's asnwer, it wasn't like she had anything important to do, so she could wait all day if needed. Or maybe she could just hurry the man home so he could be warm until he remembered what it was he was doing in the first place. No, that wouldn't work...Then the man would remember and probably set out and get lost in thought again. "Hm, I believe I was speaking with my daughter about her son."

The girl smiled when she had finally got something out of the old man. Her eyes strayed from his face to the direction he had come from. He was probably inside with this daughter of his. Now, depending on how old she was, she could figure out how old the son was, and by doing that, she could narrow the possibilities of him setting out on either meeting this grandson, picking him up from somewhere, getting food, visiting him, or if he was on the way to pick something up from him. Perhaps the son had a wife? If the wife had a present for a member of the family perhaps...No, that couldn't be it, the wife would have had the son go and drop the present off instead of having the old man walk all the way out here. The probability of that ever happening would be quite the slim chance. Either the original daughter of this man, or her son, wouldn't allow it, unless the family of this old man was a relatively distant one. But then, the whole aspect of him going out and trying to get something or visiting the family in question, wouldn't be a probability. And the light-hearted man could never be apart of a family who's members would send him on a journey that could possibly put him through a heart attack. "Sir, what was it your daughter told you about her son? Do you happen to remember anything about it in the least?" Once more, the man was silent. Perhaps he was thinking hard? Or just being an old man with a tendency to forget important information such as his path of thinking and intentions. Anyways, Senritsu waited for the man to think of a response. "Mmm, I'm sorry, I can't remember a thing." Senritsu put her hands together and blew her warm breath into her freezing cupped hands. A thought came to her, but it would require a bit of thought to make sure it was the proper way to ask, or if she'd need to rephrase it for the old man to understand.

Little Sen continued to blow warm heat into her hands as she looked at the man, thinking of a way to get him to understand her way of thinking. "Hm...Sir, do you happen to know where this son of your daughter's is? It might be a great deal of help to me in order to figure out where it was you were headed when you ran into me here." Senritsu watched the man as he stood as still as a statue with his eyes held shut. Her mind wandered as she awaited an answer from him. If the son was back at his home where he'd traveled from, possibly, then her theories would be false and she'd require more information about the situation. Senritsu wouldn't admit it to herself, but she loved these sorts of things. Having to find clues to figure something out. Something she'd otherwise have no clue about and would have no intention on even being apart of. "Mmm, where is he...Where is he, where is he?" the elderly man repeated to himself over and over as he stood still with his eyes closed. Senritsu occupied her time by fiddling with her fingernails, picking at them and ripping away some of the skin on the outer layer of her fingers for fun. It hurt at times when she pulled too much off or got it too deep, but otherwise, it was great fun for her. "Ah, he's with his father right now." the man finaly told her. Her green eyes popped up from her little fun and her finger moved to her teeth as she nibbled on her thumb's skin. With the father? Then there is a possibility that the father is out on the town with this grandson of his, perhaps the old man is on his way to accompany them somewhere or bring them home? Perhaps the son-in-law and son had never been to this village and got lost and the grandfather was the only one who knew the way around? No, then why would the daughter have been here? Surely the man's daughter and son-in-law wouldn't be separated...or could they?

Senritsu looked at the man for a little bit longer, wondering how else to get the information she needed from him. "Do you happen to know where the two of them are at the moment?" The man was silent, thinking to himself again, just as she was. She was prying the deep crevices of her mind to try and figure out the missing piece of this ever confusing puzzle the old man had presented her with. Helping someone wasn't part of the plan she'd had for the day, but she didn't mind it all too much. She was a friendly girll to most people and this old man seemed to need help to get back to his family and the warmth of his own home. Hopefully after she finished helping him, he'd remember where he was supposed to be until he got home so his family could attend to him. "Where are they," he asked himself as he folded his arms in an attempt to think of where it was his son-in-law and grandson were. Senritsu didn't even bother to think anything this time, for this was truly getting annoying. It was fun to a point, but a man who keeps repeating every last sentence you say gets on your nerves fast! "I believe...they were on a trip to somewhere."

After walking for what seemed like forever, came across a cool looking person. Manuke looked at Kane and laughed, "I'm Manuke, nice to meet ya!". He put on a big goofy smile and asked, " I'm sorta lost and I was wondering if you know where I could rest for a bit". Manuke yawned and sat on the soft sand as he looked up at Kane with a big goofy smile.

"Gone somewhere? Is the place far away or nearby? Somewhere in town perhaps?" Senritsu would have wagged her tail if she had one, the man had given her a good clue as to what it could be he was supposed to be doing. "Gone away, yes, gone gone away." Her imagined tail immidiately dropped as he seemed to be off in his own little world once more. She sighed and yawned, covering her mouth so she didn't seem impolite at least. After looking around a bit, since the man had yet to answer her, she shifted her weight from the balls of her feet to the heal repeatedly, making sure to keep balance so she wouldn't fall over. After all, why would anyone want to to fall into the snow face first in a tank top? Then again, why would anyone want to be out in this weather with a tank top? She gave a nervous little smile to herself as she continued her playful, repeatitive dance the man seemed to be watching. "Gone away..." he repeated every now and then, appearently still trying to trace down where it was that the other males of the family had been at.

Kane's smile froze. Lost... Immediately, he thought of the kid boarding the wrong ship and being sent across the ocean to the wrong place, but then he realised that maybe the kid meant Lost as in, Lost in Shimagakure, because he didn't know what was where. Yeah, that was probably it. Kane's logic was faulty, but at least he was aware of it. He couldn't help it, the kid had charmed him and Kane allowed himself to relax and grin fully back.

"My name is Yamanaka Kane," he said. "Well, our family runs a flower shop, and I could take you back there to rest a bit." Examining the kid, Kane wondered if he was a temporary or permanent addition, and voiced that question.

"Are you thinking of staying here permanently, or are you just visiting?" he asked curiously. "If you're staying, you have to talk to the Kage... ah..." With a sudden flash, Kane remembered that their Kage was MIA... and well, he hadn't been out in the village enough after his return from that very mission to see how Shimagakure had dealt with it, although he'd heard stuff about Shinichi becoming village leader. Anyway. Internal monologue at expense of outside conversation occurring... again...

"Anyway, you have to talk to the leader for accomodation. Don't worry,"
he said good-naturedly. "I think it's free." Kane readjusted his sling bag and sheathed wooden sword, because if he was going to make the trek back to the village he might as well make himself comfortable.

Senritsu yawned, letting her mouth be hidden behind her hand. Perhaps after this she should go up to the cliffs and hang out for a while. After all, when she was finished with this man, she had to do something anyway and at least walking will keep her mind off things. "Mmm, the boys, I think, wen't on a trip a few weeks ago." Senritsu's head whipped to the man's face, "Have you thought of when they would arrive back to the island?" The man's face seemed to brighten and Senritsu knew she'd hit the mark. "Ah yes, they were to arrive around noon. I need to go meet them when the boat comes in." The girl smiled and bowed to the man. "My jobs done sir, I hope you and your family have a good day."

"Same with you, thank you young lady," the man said as he continued to walk on down the shoreline.

"Strange man," Senritsu whispered to herself. "Oh well." Turning towards the cliffs, she began to walk. It wouldn't take very long for her to reach her destination and by the time she got there she'd probably be bored of the place anyway and just walk somewhere else. Maybe she could play a round of Go with someone, or maybe Sudoku?

Manuke let out a short sigh of relief. "Yes, I'm staying here permanently, so I guess I'll have to talk to your leader." Manuke stood up and stretched his arms up to the sky. " So where's this leader of yours?" Manuke brushed some dirt off of his pants and gave a soft laugh as he thought of his new life on this island.

Hamma walked onto the shoreline it to seemed to be showing the effects of he wintry fingers that seemed to be grasping Shimagakure. Looking out he noticed a familiar figure. It was Kane. He was hoping for a Tategami or a Kun Kumo but even Kane was an impressive sort. He would do nicely and while the kiddies were learning Kane would be learning how to use that sword his mother wanted him to. "Kane!" Hamma bellowed out again his deep giant voice echoing through the winter air like frozen ice falling from the sky. "Come here lad, I be havin a request of ya. A good lesson with that Bokken is in store for ye if ya help me out." Hamma wanted to see what Kane had learned so far. Seeing these impressive tykes learn to handle weapons was always a joy. "Bring that there lad wit ya too. I be teaching class today."

Ryouta ran from the clinic until he finally caught up with the large man at the shoreline. For such a large man, he is quite fast... He waved to the large man as he approached, "Hello sir! Ready to train! Oh by the way, my name is Yamashiro Ryouta. Thank you for taking time to train me"
