((I'll say this for Aizu. Check the second post in the thread))

Twang!

The man looked down to see an arrow grow from his chest. The last thing he saw before dying was the face of a woman with bright white eyes.

"That was almost too easy," she said quietly, with a bit of a pout. Turning to walk away, she took care to step on the man's face.

Serisaria stared into the distance. Suddenly, she started. Slewinyl's face seemed to appear in front of her, frowning. A disembodied hand plunged a sword through the Sanctus Vesica's stomach. Before her world went black, Serisaria saw the man she had just killed materialize. It had been him who killed her. Slewinyl's face disappeared, laughing, as Serisaria fell in shock...

~~

"Ma'am? Ma'am?" the owner of the market stall was leaning over her, from what Liuwei was telling her. Serisaria got up and looked around. She was in the human city.

=Remember? You were getting supplies= she heard Liuwei's voice. Liuwei went on to explain that Serisaria had passed out, and the man was worried. Serisaria smiled and with Liuwei's guidance, payed for her items. Then, she turned to walk away. As she passed the large group of non humans, she narrowed her sightless eyes. Liuwei fluttered through the air, humming a tune in Serisaria's head.

--Would you stop that?-- she asked, annoyed. Liuwei shut up for the remaining time that they were in the city. Once well out, Serisaria spoke aloud to her companion.

"I'll get to them later," she said sinisterly.

((Note (since I just made this complicated): --anything between double dashes-- is Serisaria communicating telepathically with Liuwei
=anything between equal signs= is Liuwei talking, only Serisaria can hear
~anything between these curly things~ is someone's thoughts
"anything between quotations" is someone speaking))

Lin smiled when Sorrow had pet Moondust, he seemed to like all her companions so far, which was surprising, seeing as he hated most people.
"The horses are for anyone that wants to ride them. Since we'll have some spare horses, we can drop them off at the next village we pass, we may need them later in our journey though."
After Lin spoke Mist seemed to be looking at a girl in the distance. Lin looked where he looked and noticed the girl was trying to say something, but didn't seem to be able to get it out.
"Hey you, come over here, it is better then staying there on your own!"
She called this to the girl, her voice was calm, and musical. She soon noticed that Rok seemed to be uncomfortable hanging around, and rode Mist over to him keeping the other girl in view, the girl she didn't know.
"We'll be leaving soon Rok, so don't worry so much."
She gave him a comforting smile, and watched what all her other companions were doing.
"I'd best get these horses tied together so none wonder off."
She rode Mist back to the group of horses, and climbed off. After she was off, she tied a long rope to all the horses so that they stayed together. It almost looked like a group of traders getting ready to go. Traders that had weapons, and would be able to defend themselves, on top of that. When she was happy with all the horses, and the pack mule tied up together, she quickly mounted Mist again. Moondust circled the group protectively to make sure no other creatures went near their supplies. The tiger was always doing things like this for Lin, and he always would until she died, or he died, or even them both dying along with Mist.

((I'm gone for one day and I miss almost everything, this is really picking up))

Ashe had collected all her items by the time Lin came back with the supplies and horse. She shook her head and smiled crookedly. "Save one horse for me. I'll scout ahead." With that she walked away from the group, but towards the direction of the human capital, and shifted to her dragon form. She took off and flew in complicated maneuvers, working out the kinks of going so long without really flying. She circled above the group a bit and then headed for the capital.

Having already mounted her horse, Luniya layed down upon her horse saddle and all. She was in an akward position, yet comfortable to her. She had her back on the horses and her feet were dangling on the sides with her arms folded across her chest. She was staring into the sky, just watching the clouds pass by. It's almost as if she was there alone, because she couldn't even hear the others speaking. She began to hum quietly to herself.

Suddenly Lin screamed something about a girl. Luniya fell off the horse and landing flat on her back. "Ow! Whats going on with the screaming." she said still looking at the sky but holding her this time. It was unlike Lin to scream and she was so... so informal. Luniya's eyes grew wide in shock. She tilted her head backward to see who she was shouting at. Some girl was walking towards them and she looked nervous. Luniya was able to smell the sweat from her. She shouldn't be nervous. We won't bite.

As the girl was walking towards them Ashe took off to the skies. .She turned her head back upwards to watch her leave She blew gusts of wind below her. Her wing span was huge. She headed towards the capital. I wonder what it is like to fly. Must be nice.

Flint looked around at the group, then at the horses.
"Ahem" he said, clearing his throat. "Anyone mind riding double? These horses are a little large for me, and I don't know how to ride" he said, going a bit red.

It was slightly annoying being short, but it had some advantages. For one, he could get into places no one could, and it was easy to pick pocket people.
He stood there, waiting for an answer.

Luniya was still laying on the ground. She put her hands in front her face and formed a diamond with them. She looked through the diamond while squinting her eyes. Without even looking at him she answered Flint's question,"Sure Flint, you can ride with me. I don't mind at all and you can even ride in front if you want too." Besides with Flint riding with her things were bound to stay interesting.

She was becoming agitated. She couldn't wait until they were ready to go. She decided she would stretch out. There wasn't anything else to do. She sat up straight and spread her legs as far as she could. She leaned forward and touched her forehead to the ground. She stretched her arms out in back of her almost touching her legs. It made her feel a whole lot better. She was comfortable even though she looked contorted. Most people were probably incapable of doing something like that. Or so she assumed.

Flint turned to Luniya. "Thanks" he said simply, reaching for a stick on the ground.
With little to do while waiting, he clicked open his knife and started to scrape off the bark of the stick, inch by inch, until it was smooth wood.
Then he started carving it lazily, putting in a few gnome words, then shrugged, and tossed it over his arm.
It went fairly far, clattering under a fence and into the sea behind him.

Tyr jumped back slightly, shocked at actually having been noticed. No one notices me normally, let alone calls out... She thought, but somehow she felt a bit braver. Almost as if she were someone else she stepped up to them and knoted her hands behind her back, watching them for a moment before attempting to speak again. "I couldn't help but notice that you're all headed out together," She started strongly, her voice soft and quiet but loud enough to actually be head, but they she began to fumble for what to say. "I'm... well..." She sighed and out a hand to her forehead.

Around her shoulders Ferghall opened his eyes a slit and evaluated the new people, when he decided her liked them and noticed Tyr was trying to talk to them, he gave her a light prompting whisper in the back of her mind.

You're headed out alone and you hear it's dangerous. A light thought whispered in the back of Tyr's mind, and without thinking she clutched to the phrase. "I'm all by myself and I have to deliver this message... I heard it's kind of dangerous..." The thief suggested, looking at the group warily. "And-" That's enough. Ferghall's voice in her mind cut her off, and obligingly Tyr closed her mouth and smiled shyly at them, waiting and hoping.

A small horse carriage buggy was loading up supplies at the edge of the human port town. A nice breeze had started to pick up as the six merchants began to finish up loading the cart. They all got inside, one of them getting at the front and it took off. They rode fast and hard, deep into the forest, traveling to an unknown destination. It seemed they were heading to the human capital. Then suddenly things went awry.

A tall slender man stood in the middle of the path. He was wearing brown cloth armor, had elfish ears, and carried a silver wand. The cart spun out of control and crashed into a tree to avoid hitting him. A man stumbled out of the cart, and soon all of the others did too. The elf laughed and looked at them, eager for a fight.

“Are you crazy?! You could have got yourself killed or even us.”

“Killing you, yes that was the plan.”

The merchant was in shock looking at the elf wondering what he was going to do. All of the other merchants were out of the buggy and were extremely pissed off. They started to pull out daggers and flails getting ready to assault the elf that picked a fight with them.

The elf smiled a sinister smile, raising his wand up over his head. Then he started to cast some magic. “Slow!” he said eagerly waiting for them to fight him. A large red clock appeared above the merchant’s heads and it seemed as if the clock started to go extremely slow, barely ticking. “Haste!” he shouted again. This time a large blue clock appeared over him this time and the clock seemed to be ticking quite fast.

“Show me what you got.”

The elf darted left and right, easily dodging the merchant's attacks. To them he was almost a blur of light, they couldn’t tell where he was going or where he was coming from. They could only see glimpses of his silverfish hair, and the blue earring that hanged from his left ear.

Two of the merchants ran up to the elf but were kicked in the gut and then their weapons which they were holding to strike with were taken from right from their hands, straight into their stomachs. The battle lasted not longer than two minutes. Everyone but the elf was dead. The cart was on its side and their cargo was ruined.

“That was too easy. Guess no one is match for me. Oh Swift this is going to be one hell of an adventure.”

He grinned devilishly and let out a wicked laugh that seemed to echo, but only for a while as to not attract attention to him. He walked over to the tossed aside cart and opened the back up. He looked around to see if anything was worth stealing. He noticed nothing of any major importance, except for one thing. There was a small message that was supposed to be delivered to the king of the human capital. It was important however he didn’t read through it enough before stashing it in his pockets. He tucked his Elvin wand in his cloth tunic and took some rope from inside the cart. He began to tie himself up in such a way to look as if bandits had come through and killed everyone but him. He smirked and then laid himself up against the inside of the cart, pretending to be knocked out.

And now, we wait.

Lin smiled.
"So what you are meaning to ask, is if you can come along with us, is that right?"
Before the girl got the chance to answer the question, Lin motioned for her to come closer.
"If you are heading for the human capital, just jump onto one of these horses, there are a few extra's so there are plenty for anyone that wants to ride them. It is very dangerous, especially along the path to a human capital. It is a favourite for bandits, because so many carts, and trading groups travel to the human capital."
Lin was soon eager to get going, she could no longer stand hanging around this small human town, or city. Whichever it was, it wasn't where she wanted to be.
"Let's just hurry up, and leave. I can't stand staying around much longer."
With that she set the horses into a slow walk. It would be easy for anyone to quickly jump on their horses to get going on their way.

"Oi, wait up!" Flint said, doing his quick hand movement and causing himself to float.
He moved over to one of the horses, hesitating over it. "How do you work it?" he asked casually, and from the genuinely confused look on his face, Flint had absolutely no idea how to ride a horse, nor had he ever been on one before.
As a...thief, I guess, Flint never really cared for that stuff, it was too obviously tracked by the authorities. So he stuck to the ground, but if he did that on this trip, he would pass out before making it half-way.

Luniya stood and dusted herself off. She had to giggle at Flint. She covered her mouth to stifle it. "Here let me help you Flint," she picked him up nd not with as much ease as she thought it would be. Yet, she still managed to mount him on the horse somehow. She got on likewise. "Now, to make the horse go just use the reins." She reached out in front of Flint since he was riding in front and picked up the reins and slightly tugged on them so the horse could begin walking. "Just use the reins to direct the horse and if you want to go faster just kick the horses sides." Luniya nodded her head believing that she gave a pretty good explanation. She stuck up one her fingers to stress the importance of her next sentence. "Be sure to hold on to the reins tightly especially when your'e riding fast. You wouldn't want to fall off,"she smiled and took a deep breath.

"Well, I guess we're off then." She had never been to the human capital herself and was pretty ecstatic now that they finally. She looked towards the new girl who wanted to come and shrugged. She couldn't figure her out, she seemed suspicious. She didn't know them so why would she want to come along. Luniya was wary of letting her come but she trusted Lin, so she didn't question it. It looked like she and Flint were ahead of the group so she pulled the reins to slow the horse the down.

"I probably couldn't control one of these if I tried" Flint said, able to look up just over the horse's mane.
"Which is just fine with me, I prefer walking whenever possible, because it's easier to get away from, say, annoyed shopkeers" Flint said, laughing slightly.
"Besides, I don't think horses come in a size for people 3 feet tall" he added.

Rok stood off to the side, watching as Lin spoke to the newcomer, Luniya spoke to Flint, and Sorrow spoke with Usrah. He still felt slightly out of place, despite what Lin had said when she had introduced everyone.

Getting the same feeling he had a minute ago, Rok turned again, this time seeing the same woman in silk passing by the group. A butterfly fluttered around her head, but he dismissed that to the thought that the woman attracted insects. However, he still felt uneasy around her.

Suddenly, his thoughts turned to his great great grandsire who had, according to legend, killed an entire regiment of ogres without aid. While this was an assumed legend, it was well known that the minotaur had had strong misgivings about any creature who was not a minotaur, due to a mishap that happened to his mother when he was a child. Rok did not want to think it, but he could not help that he had inherited the same prejudice-like thoughts, albeit to a lesser degree. He didn't trust other races as much as he trusted minotaurs. Thinking about it, he came to the conclusion that this was a result of Mahn-tor being secluded from the rest of the world.

Coming back to the present, Rok realized that he had been daydreaming. Glancing around, he judged that he had not missed much.

Ashe flew silently through the air, keeping a eye on the road below her. She then saw an upturned wagon and someone knocked out and tied up near it. Her curiosity caused her to stop and hover above the scene and survey it. The man smelt like an elf, but surprisingly unharmed. She glided down a little further off, shifted to an elf form, and silently crept up, one sword in her hand. She walked around the wagon on the side opposite to the elf and looked into the wagon. Couldn't be bandants...Nothing looks like its been rifled through, though its hard to tell with everything thrown from the fall. She rifled through the stuff without a sound and picked out items she thought important and walked over to the elf on the floor. She started to cut the ropes that bound him and waited for him to wake.
