Wally_West Ya know, I remember being SO SUPER thrilled that there were FIVE ANIME SHOWS on in one week. I thought it was SO COOL. Ronin Warriors, Sailor Moon, Teknoman, Dragonball Z, and Samurai Pizza Cats! That seemed like a LOT of anime to me back then. No doubt, and we have that to thank for us being anime fans to begin with. Yes, they edited the hell out of them but it all worked out in the end and you can get the uncut stuff easily now. Damn kids. I loved the Samurai Pizza Cats.

ha what was teknoman? i remember a tekkaman...
i used to get my anime fix through the sci-fi channel sweatdrop they used to show casshan, 8-man after, tenchi muyo! the movie, vampire hunter d. luckily now, i can get my fix many wayz: through adult swim, on demand, netflix, or online whee
---------
oh n what i dont get about the hatin on cartoon network anime is that a lot of people (not just here in the guild mind u) say that they absolutely love a certain anime & that theyre probly gonna stop watchin it cuz its gonna b on cartoon net...
is it the dubbing? cuz methinks the voices on adult swim shows, like inuyasha & fullmetal alchemist, are extremely well done. or is it the fact that their beloved series is gonna go super-mainstream? confused

Lil of column A, lil of column B. I know I was ECSTATIC to hear Lupin the 3rd was gonna be on TV cuz I always figured it had the snowball's chance in hell of ever being on American tv.
Most of the people who hate like that are what I call "sub snobs." Faux elitists who truly don't know their own heads from the arsehole.

I am a complete snob. I also don't watch anime anymore.
I also don't see anything wrong with just leaving subtitles on the TV.

Kids are gonna go nuts when Naruto finally comes out over here. It's gonna be the next DBZ.

John Stewart GL Kids are gonna go nuts when Naruto finally comes out over here. It's gonna be the next DBZ. I for one welcome it because Naruto is one of the best new series to come around for a long time. I prefer GITS related things but they aren't exactly mainstream material because cyberpunk makes you think too much. Selina Kyle I also don't see anything wrong with just leaving subtitles on the TV. People watch TV so that they don't have to read. xp Wally_West Lil of column A, lil of column B. Most of the people who hate like that are what I call "sub snobs." Faux elitists who truly don't know their own heads from the arsehole. I agree, but since I don't have cable I'm kind of screwed. I really would have loved to see Lupin the 3rd on tv (since I've only seen The Castle of Cogliostro).
