(I know, I was just posing it as one of those reoccuring questions that she'll ask herself a couple of times before figuring out the answer)
"All right, then let's go see!" she said, bounding through the snow towards Chaos's dwelling a couple of paces before turning back to wait for Lexis. For now she shoved thoughts and questions of homes to the back of her thoughts, it was enough for her to be happy just being with dear freinds.

(*thows more confetti* It's pretty cheap in Diamond/Pearl. Only 30 Razz berries. biggrin )
Lexis followed suit, making his way up beside her. He waited until she started moving again before he followed suit. It always seemed to be this way when he really started to think about it. Maybe it was for the best that he waited until Talitha started doing something before doing it himself. Otherwise he might wind up being rude, and he didn't want that.
(Couldn't really think of anything to write. xp )

Talitha pranced up to Chaos's house but upon peeking inside she discovered that Chaos was still gone. Frowning, Talitha said, "I suppose we could eat the fish and then go fishing to replace the ones we ate... Since I'm not sure how she cooked them, or how to restart the fire... Fishing isn't that hard, right? Both Chaos and Treasure know how, and Neko's talked enough about it that I think I could catch some..." She paused, wondering what they should do and waiting for Lexis's opinion.

Lexis pondered this option for a bit. He pretty much knew how to fish because he tried it before with tips from Akiko. Plus he was pretty sure that, so long as they replaced the ones they ate, Chaos wouldn't mind it too much. "I think that sounds like a good idea." He finally said, with a smile.

"Al right!" Talitha giggled, padding softly into the house and fishing about in the kitchen-esque area for some of the cooked fish that hadn't been eaten that morning. Digging them out from under a cool stone that was covering a hole dug into the ground for food storage she called, "I found them! I hope you don't mind eating them cold..." She still did't know how to start a fire, and she would prefer not to learn by accidentally burning someone's house down. The fish were wrapped in leaves, and taking them carefully in her mouth so that she only bit parts where the leaves were, Talitha brought them out tothe area they had eaten at that morning. Setting them down, she smiled, "Ta-Da!"

"I don't mind cold fish at all." Lexis replied. He never had it before, but he figured that it would be almost like warm pizza versus cold pizza. He sat down in the area he remembered eating that morning, and watched as Talitha set the fish down. "So shall we dig in?" he inquired.

"Sure!" she replied, dividing the fish between them. Sniffing it once for good measure, she took a bite out of the cold fish and contemplated it. "It's not as soft as it was before, and the flavor is kind of like..." she paused, not really knowing how to describe it, then grinned, "It doesn't matter, either way it's still pretty good!"

Lexis took a bite of the fish. What Talitha said was right: it was harder than it was before, but still pretty good. Smiling as he reflected on his pizza comparison, he decided to share, "I guess fish is kinda like pizza. It's good either way, even if they do taste a bit different." He silently wondered if Talitha ever had pizza before. The only reason he knew about it was due to Sara sharing some with him a few times.

Talitha tipped her head to the side, "Neko has pizza all the time, but I've never seen her eat it cold..." Licking her lips as she finished, she flopped onto the floor and sighed. "That was good," she said, laying there for a moment before sitting up again and picking up the leaf wrappers to put them away so they could be used again after they caught more fish. She stopped and pondered, "How many fish should we catch? Should we get as many as we can, or should we just replace the ones we ate since we don't know how many she can store, and we don't want to harm the ecosystem by taking too many..."

"Really? Sara eats it cold more than she eats it warm. The only time I see her eat it warm is when the delivery person brings it to the door." He then turned his thoughts to the question. What would be the right amount of fish to catch so that the pond isn't overfished yet they can still have fun fishing. "Maybe we should catch enough to replace the ones we ate, plus one or two as extra."
(Lexis likes to fish. To him, it's great fun. ^^)

"Okie!" Talitha said, wondering what a delivery person was. Heading for the door, she waited for Lexis to take the lead, since he appeared to know more about fishing than she did. "Oh, how do we go fishing when the pond is covered in ice?" she asked, just now realizing how hard a task it might be if they couldn't get through to the fish. She looked over at Lexis, hoping he knew of a way to get under the ice. All the other times she had watched Chaos and Treasure fish had been in the warmer part of the year.

"We'd have to cut a hole in the ice, like Eskimos do in Alaska." Lexis explained. "Though it might be hard to cut through the ice without a sharp object of some sort, especially since the ice is pretty thick..." he admitted. He wondered what would work on the ice in case they couldn't find a blade of some sort. A rock might do the job, but he'd be worried about disturbing the ice around the hole they were going to be fishing in. What a predicament... "Do you know where we can find a knife of some sort?"

"Ummm," Talitha thought for a moment, "I don't have one, but if Chaos can get through the ice I'm sure she has one! Though I wonder if she would mind us borrowing it..." She looked around the little home until her eyes rested on a long peice of metal with a flat end. "Would that be it?" she asked, "I think it's what Neko calls the 'ultimate tool', a butter knife."

Lexis nodded. "That would do the trick." He liked the idea of cutting the ice with a butter knife. It wasn't too sharp, so there's less of a chance of stabbing himself, yet it was sharp enough to get the job done. "I think that it would be okay to borrow it as long as we don't bend it or accidentily lose it in the water." Even if they did, he knew that Sara had some butter knifes at home he could replace this one with.

"Okie!" she said, dragging the butterknife from it's place next to a pile of shells and string. Bringing it out the door and onto the ice, she stood waiting for Lexis, retaining her balance even though her paws kept slipping every once in a while. She flicked her ears and looked at him a little puzzled, "What do we do with it? Is there a certain way we're suppose to cut the ice?"
