Syvra slowly unbent her knees. He was putty in her hands.
He wants to know so bad he's almost dying inside, she thought. An idea came into her mind, and she smiled, her fangs gleaming wickedly in the moonlight.
"Why don't you tell me what I want, and I'll see if you're right," she said, her voice playful and lilting, but with a hidden tension in her undertone. What would he do?

Cora felt the unbearable heat beat against her pale skin. Her natural instincts told her to run, run away from the sun-like fire, but she had to stay, had to save the girl that had stayed with her despite the danger of the tears, the tears that were filling Cora's veins at this moment with her life.
She dragged her weakened body over to Demyx's flaming hands. He cried out, and she knew he was at the peak of his power. She grabbed his hands, intertwining her fingers with his, keeping the fireballs between their palms. The scorching heat seared and burned her hands, but Cora held on despite the pain.
She screamed, and with the onslaught of pain and heat, the tears couldn't take it. Her head whipped back, looking towards the sky, as the tears forced themselves back up along their trails down her face back into her eyes. This hurt even more, and Cora almost broke the trails, but she held on. To save Alice.
As the last of the tears withdrew into her black eyes, the black faded to her normal stormy gray, and she gave a gasp. Her hands were burnt so badly, she could barely let go of Demyx's hands to signal the end, but she managed it, and as she fell back, cradling her hands to her chest, she gave another gasp of pain as she fell with a jolt, and she blacked out.

"What you want?" Jack said slowly, his voice calculating. And then that sly smile spread ascross his face.
"Its hard to tell..." His hand stroked his chin, and he began to wander towards Syvra, looking nochalant, his eyes pointed at his feet.
"It really could be anything." He looked into her eyes then, his devious smile flashing. One more step, and they would be face-to-face once more. His hand reached out, moving a piece of hair from her face.
"Anything," He breathed, and took that last step. His fingers lingered at her cheek, brushing lightly over the skin.

Demyx withdrew his flames and snatched up Cora before she could hit the ground. He stared down sadly at the fallen girl, his eyes taking in the grim sight of her badly burnt hands.
She is so warm, not as a vampire should be.... Im so sorry Cora.
When he looked back up, his face was once again set in stone.
"Rose, take Alice to my room." Rose nodded and threw Alice over her shoulder, scurrying through the open window.
Demyx followed after her, pausing once he was inside the room. There was another vampire there, staring at the door that Rose had just gone through.
"Alice will be fine," He said in a gruff, buisness-like voice. The old Demyx was back. "Come with me. We have much to discuss."
And without further words, he had left the room. Even the walk there was in silence, save for the tapping of his boots on the stone floors.
You are going to be alright.
A hoard of Liceryth elementals were waiting eagerly at his door, but he pushed past them and into his private office. He paused only to let the vampire boy in, before slamming it shut and fastening the lock. A fire flickered up in the fireplace, and the candles were suddenly lit. Rose was already inside, pacing around the unconcious body of Alice, who had been set on one of the large couches.
He stared down at the girl that was cradled in his arms, not wanting to let her go. But with a deep sigh, he gently placed her onto the crimson couch. Rest.
Demyx turned to Kye, still hovering slightly over Cora.
"Rose, can you please patch up her hands?" He called over his shoulder, never taking his eyes off of the vampire boy.
"Kye...I should have known Alice would not keep her secret." He sighed again. "I dont know what to do with you...." His eyes were suddenly fire. "She is under my protection, and if I feel that you are endangering her in any way, I wont hesitate to take action. Tell anyone else of her secret, and it will be trouble." His eyes softened again, and he looked back at the spirit elemental. "Please, do it for Alice."
Rose finished bandaging Cora's hands and wandered back over to Alice to hover in worry some more. Demyx sighed a final time before dropping to the floor next to the couch, his eyes at his feet.
Now we wait for them to wake, I suppose." All of the agression was gone from his words.

"I see no reason to tell anyone about Alice." Kye glanced at the Demyx's hands before sticking his hands in his pockets and looking at his eyes. "And if I wanted to hurt Alice, I'd have done it awhile ago, wouldn't I?"

Slowly, he ran his right hand through his hair and stared at the floor, thinking hard about what this all meant. "A Fire elemental protecting a Spirit.... Seems like they have their own alliances too. This war is getting out of hand."

Jack leaned in, his lips just brushing across Syvra's.
"I will do more then something," He breathed, taking her face in his hands. He was still for a moment, as though torturing her, before pressing his lips softly against hers. The kiss was gentle at first, but as his left hand wrapped around her waist and pulled her against him and his right hand ran through her hair, Jack became more forcefull.
Is this what you wanted, vampire? I know it is what I want.

"Yes," Demyx said with a nod, not looking up at Kye. "I do suppose you would have." He was about to say more, but a light voice was brushing at the back of his mind, almost pleading.
I can hear you Cora. The voice was gentle. I....Im sorry about your hands. They look bad, but we are trying to make them better. He paused, trying to arrange his thoughts. He had so many questions before, but now he could hardly think. I wish I would have know a better way to help you. I dont even know what happened. He glanced over at Cora' body, still limp and with closed eyes. But she was breathing steadily. This is weird...you look like you are sleeping. Ha....your nose twitched. He chuckled aloud, but it didnt reach his eyes. Cora, you really must rest. You cant get better by talking to me.

Kye stopped staring at the ground and gathered his thoughts. If he wanted to know what was going on with the elementals, he would have to ask one himself. He glanced at Alice, who was just waking up, and back at Demyx, who was staring at the vampire from earlier. He would have to ask Alice since Demyx would definitely keep quiet about it.

Kye walked over to where Alice was and kneeled down. "You okay?"

Jack smiled through the kiss as Syvra moved her hands along his body and pulled him closer. If only she could have seen that smile, she would have seen how wicked it looked. His hands reached back and clenched around her wrists. He pulled the vampire to the forest floor, letting her go only to kiss her neck and pull her shirt above her head.

Jack lay on his back, chest heaving slightly as he stared at the pink morning sky. One of his arms was tucked under Syvra, but he pulled it free and wandered over to lean against a tree. His mind, too, had wandered off in a new direction. He had so many plans, and for now everything was falling into place. Jack tucked his hands in his pants pocket for warmth against the slight wind that had blown through the dark forest.

demyx watched as Kye walked over to Alice and knelt by her side, but he did nothing to stop him. It wouldnt hurt for her to have a little company besides his own. He wasnt much good to talk to anyway.
Alice is fine. Better then you, I think. She is resting too.
He ran a hand through his hair, his face lined with worry.
I wish i knew how to help. He rested his head against the arm of the couch. He couldnt help but feel some of her feer.
Its going to be alright, Cora. Please, just relax." He sighed inwardly, feeling helpless as always.

Alice took a deep breath. It was unsteady, rigid almost, but she couldn't figure out why. "I'm alright. I've been better but I'm alive." She tried to sit up, but a crippling pain shot through her body forcing to remain lying down. She could feel that her energy had restored, but her body had not yet to recover. She focused her energy on her sore spots, she could feel them mend. This was a simple task for her, but her current state made it hard for her to focus. Slowly she sat up, and crossed her legs. Staring up into Kye's eyes she gave a weak smile. "I'm sorry I got you involved in all this mess, I really feel horrible about it."
