Tears swelled up in her eyes as she watched her friends get beaten by the Aqua grunts. She had to do something, but was stopped when the Shroomish began to glow a white light. "It's evolving!" she breath her eyes now wide.

Team Aqua's Pokemon took a nervous step back, as did their trainers. They weren't sure what was happening but all of them knew it wasn't good.
Light shot out of Portabello's eyes, as his little body started to burn away in a brilliant white flame. Large stong legs erupted out of the bottom of his figure, as a large tail started to take shape. Still covered in the heavenly glow, the amorphous white blob started to take shape as a rather large bipedal Pokemon. Soon the transformation was complete, and Portabello stood upright, the glow starting to fade. Soon the light was nullified and the small Shroomish was no more, Portabello had evolved into a Breloom.

Kilik sat down on a bench outside of Saffron City. He ran a hand through his hair. A tear fell from his eye. "I'm sorry, Nina...I hoped you wouldn't find out..." he stood up, pulling off the 'R' badge and looking at it in his hand. "I thought if I joined Team Rocket...that you'd notice what a powerful trainer I was..." the words that she said to him stung him. Why did you stoop so low? He shut his eyes, I knew you were weak. The boy held his head as the tears streamed from his eyes. "I'm so sorry, Nina..." his nails dug into his scalp as he sat there.

((Sorry about my leaving without warning; the phone rang. stressed ))
Nina hung up her PokeNav, and put it away. She walked into the main room of the Pokemon Center as her Pokemon and Flareon had been fully healed. She released Mihoshi from its Pokeball and took her in her arms, and put Cupcake's and Angel's Pokeballs away. Flareon jumped off of the counter and rubbed against Nina's leg, and Anna floated over to her. Nina squatted down and petted Flareon on its head, and gave him a kiss. "Everything will be okay, I promise," she said.
"Are you just saying that or do you really believe it?" Anna asked her. Nina relpied, "I'm not sure." She walked over to one of the tables in the room and sat down, and was accompanied by Flareon sitting on her lap. Nina put Mihoshi on the table, and Anna hovered near her.
Nina let out a sigh. "I really hope that Kasiya gets here soon..." She blinked. "Wait. She can't get through the security at the northern gate..." Nina dashed out of the Pokemon Center, followed by Flareon and Anna, and headed toward Saffron's northern gate.
"Ah, hello again miss," the female security guard said. Nina flinched. "H... hello..." She cleared her throat. "One of my friends is going to be arriving in the city soon, and I really need you to grant her permission to enter." The guard shook her head. "I'm sorry, but my hands are tied. It's bad enough that I allowed you in; I can't allow everybody inside this city."
Nina explained the entire situation of what had happened to the guard. "And so you see, my male friend had joined Team Rocket and he killed Silph's President..." She blinked. "But... you said you were given orders from your boss... That must mean that you're a part of the team too!" The female guard shook her head. "No," she replied, with her soft and cool tone, "I'd never ever join the ranks of that lowly team. I was simply hired to guard the gates, and that is what I'm doing. But, hearing your story has warmed my heart... or something to that effect. I shall allow your friend in, but this is truly the last favor that I shall be granting you."
Nina's eyes filled with tears and she hugged the security guard. "Thank you, so much!" The guard pulled out of Nina's grip. "Yeah, yeah... just, don't get used to it."

"Sneak thief?" Kasiya asked blinking. She had Ariel out of her Pokeball and she was busy dousing her bloody wrist with Water Gun, gently of course. "Oh you're that...." she trailed off, her eyes getting teary again. Ariel's Water Gun was numbing her wrist, and she sniffed loudly. "How is your Pokemon?" she asked. "I'm still sorry about that, aahh!" she cried out, the numbness not fully set in yet. "I just...fell off my bike," she said, wincing. "I'm fine...I think..."

"Off you're bike! You didn't have to answer while you were riding," Venerax felt fairly bad, though he couldn't have known. "Well, Calculus is doing well. I have new friend though I haven't greated it yet, it's a one-legged owl. I took quite a tumble to run into it."
Venerax laughed at himslef. "Luckily Cal, saved me."
"And how are yours? Find anymore sneak theifs?"

The newly evolved Pokemon rose to his feet, glaring at the evil animals that nearly killed all of his friends. "Breloom." he snorted as he slowly walked towards them.
Shaking, the Zubat lunged first at the approaching Pokemon, baring it's fangs.
Without even altering it's glance, Portabello dodged to the side, and planted a kick square to the Zubat's head. It flew limply into a pile of rocks, it's wing bones shattered. The Pokemon struggled a bit, then succumb to it's injuries and flopped back.
Tentacool, now terrified of Portabello, fired an Acid round at the Breloom, hitting him square on. He did not flinch aside from hissing at the pain, and just continued walking. Portabello reached the jellyfish and whipped him with his tail, knocking him down to the ground. He then slammed his foot down on the Tentacool, unleasing a Mega Drain while Effect Spore parlyzed it. After a few attacks the defeated Pokemon passed out from the pain, and Portabello turned to face his final opponent, Mighteyena.

Nina waited for quite awhile, but Kasiya still hadn't showed up. "I've got a really bad feeling about this... Cerulean City isn't that far away at all-- what could possibly be taking her so long?" she asked herself, looking downward. Mihoshi was asleep in Nina's arms, and Anna hovered near her as usual. Flareon was at Nina's feet.
She turned her gaze to the female security guard, who was leaning against a tree, staring at her black and shiny boots. Her hat's rim still veiled her eyes from Nina's sight. "I have no idea why she's so late," Nina said. "Would it be okay for me to leave and go looking for her?" The guard shrugged. "Go ahead," she said. "I'm already violating about ten rules just talking to you." The guard chuckled a little bit as Nina ran past her, going up along Route 5. Flareon and Anna followed.

"You know," Kasiya said, standing up and walking wearily over to her bike, her arm hanging uselessly by her side, "I don't even know your name. And also..." she winced, and cried out a bit as she struggled to get her bike standing again, "Hoothoot don't only have one leg. They have two, they just hop back and forth between them so fast you can't see," she said, managing a grin. Her bike now standing, she began to wheel it towards Saffron City, Ariel helping her to stabilize it as they went.

Mitsu watched in awe as the newly evolved Pokemon had just sent a Tentacool and a Zubat into oblivion. She had never seen a Pokemon act solely on such rage. She stood frozen in fear and she dropped her now unclutched Pokeball.

Kilik took a deep breath. His hands still shook. Most of it was from fear of being turned in, and another bit of it from pure sadness. He looked down at his palms. "Team Rocket...Nina..." he stood up, putting his hands in his pockets. His oddly styled hair covered one of his eyes.

Mightyena, a little shaken from watching his allies fall so easily, leered at Portabello as he drew closer and closer. Finally, in despiration the dog lunged at the Breloom, gnashing his teeth.
Leaping over the attacking Pokemon, Portabello launched a Mach Punch, dropping down with a clenched fist onto the Mightyena, driving him into the ground. It yelped in pain as the punch connected with it's spine, causing it to flop around a bit before the enraged Breloom laced his tail with the Mightyena's, swinging him around. Faster and faster the Breloom spun as he released the dog, sending it flying into it's trainers.
After recalling their Pokemon, Marty and Vince stumbled over and ran off, yelling at each other as they dissapeared on the horizon.
"Brelooom!" cried the Pokemon in victory, soon falling over in a slump.

She watched as the grunts ran off. She bent down and picked up her Pokeball recalling her two Pokemon. Mike didn't need her, and he probably won't. I'm just in the way she thought her eyes down cast.

"Goodbye Terran! We'll miss you!" Shouted Terran's mother as he started walking down the road. He looked back at his mom to find that she was holding a handkerchief in her hand that she was using to dab away at her tears.
Terran waved his hand and said, "I'll miss you too Mom!" Biting his lip so that he wouldn't cry, he kept walking forward. "I'll be fine," he told himself. " Dratini and I will be just fine."
Leaving Oldale town was fairly hard for Terran, a boy of 15. He had never set foot out of that town, but thankfully he had good navigatonal skills. He was planning on going to Petalburg first and was then going to try and challenge the gym leader of Rustboro city - Roxeanne.
