Shunketsu didn't respond to Medixia earlier, but he kept her words in mind...he may be out here to fight and kill, but what was most important to him now was to not lose any more friends..

Shunketsu remained silent at the moment...all he really knew at this point was that the others were probably farther ahead than him. He just hoped he wouldn't let anyone down...if they were successful in holding back the enemy here, it would mean less of his friends in the other squads would be in danger...he sounded a bit naive with that thought, but this was his first real live action outside of spars and classes...and he was a bit nervous...

If there was any sign of recognition from Yukie regarding Medixia's last name, she certainly didn't let it show. Instead, she merely nods, laying a thin fingered hand on the girl's shoulder with a smile.

"Stay back near me, I'll protect you," it was almost ironic, how the woman who could barely stand, said that she could protect anyone.

Miyoko, Hiren, and Chiyo, in the meantime, nodded among themselves. Korin was going with Aichou, which meant that gate would be covered. If nothing else, the three of them could cover the other gate being invaded, while Hiren, the supposed Goddess of Flash, could go back and forth with messages. After all, intelligence was what her division did.

The three women seemed to talk among themselves, before Chiyo and Miyoko turned to say something quietly to Hiren, before leaping over the heads of the students, and starting off on a run toward the North Gate.

It happened. The alarms sounded..the hammers were being struck against the wooden plates, and the call was given. Aichou looks upward and frowns. She nods to her team, and takes off at a run they can keep up with; she was doing her best not to move too fast, though in the process, she picks Hikari up and sets her on her back, not stopping even when doing that bit of labor.

"Let's get a move on. If we're late to the party, we'll miss the appetizers! I really hate it when I miss out on the meat of things. Maybe if I get enough exercise, I'll slim down a little more, heh heh.."

Deep down though, she was worried. This was an A-class trap and she was leading her team right into it. She knew that from the start. If he was here, it meant that she'd have to keep everyone safe from his attack. They'd be on their own in regards to the enemy.

The suddenly sounding alarm caught Masaru off-guard, making him jump a bit. He looked around to find the source of the sound, and at the others around him. He watched as Captain Aichou darted off with Hikari pretty fast with a blank stare. As she became smaller in his vision, it finally hit him after a second. He gasped, and began to run after his new captain, holding the sword on his hip with his left hand. Even his large strides could not generate enough speed to keep up with the speedily moving captain. As he took in large breaths of air, he could feel the reiatsu of the approaching army from the west, and amongst it was a single powerful reiatsu. It was a similar pressure in size to Captain Aichou, and he hoped he wouldn't have to cross blades with whoever it was.

Medixia

::Medixia nods to Yukie-taichou. She's somewhat relieved that there were no obvious indications that she'd heard the Kusinagi name. She rubs the ring of her zanpakutou, nonetheless. There's a reason she's nervous, anxious. She's never fought desperately for her life. Her skills always made her too valuable to cut, or even harm. She glances over her shoulders to watch as Aichou-taichou and her ragtag group rush off towards the large, invasion army. With a half-hearted sigh, she turns back to Yukie-taichou with a warm smile.::

Hai. Hai!

::There's no sarcasm in this response, as there far too often is. It's a strange excitement, foreign to her. Let's see if I can be of any use. I'd rather not have to clean up, but I'd rather treat the bloodied than bury the dead.::

"Nya?!" Hikari actually yelps that as her surprised tone. Her eyes, of course, go wide as, before she knows it, she's moving much faster than she could normaly carry herself. Without missing a beat however, she clasps tighter to her zanpakutou. As she looks at the crossguard, a thought crosses her mind. She didn't know or care that they had been waiting for orders from the head honcho. She only has one concern, especially as she is confident her zanpakutou is about to tell her their name. "Ai-chan... Will it be okay to release our friends?" She says this in her usual tone but with an unusually serious face. She can only stare straight ahead, just beginning to feel what they were really up against.

Rei tensed and shot off as soon as the alarm sounded, he wasn't as fast as the others probably were, but he bent low and ran as hard as he could, the lower he was, the less wind resistance he would have to deal with. Gripping his guard-less Zanpaktou, he brought his drawing hand around and grasped the handle tightly, ready to strike as he ran. "Fast and hard....thats how I want to do it...." His eyes narrowed as he caught up, sticking to the relative backside of the one he could for now call captain, and with a feeling of pride to boot.

Aichou makes sure the students can keep up; she's not about to go TOO far ahead of them, but she's not going to drag her feet too much either. Where they're going it won't be too hard to get to. The path will take them to the streets of Seireitei, and from there, out to the gate. She knows it won't be long now..and she's got mixed feelings about it. Still, she puts that out of her head, letting her red eyes look ahead.

Kaosu grinned, lowering his torso down slightly before speeding off, barely keeping up with the slowed-down captain. The alarm was a small bit annoying, but he dealt with it. Inside, he felt a strong sense of responsibility. He was, after all, the strongest student there. If he didn't back up his friends, who would?

He tried smiling, but it ended up being a thin look of worry that was painted with a half-hearted joy. This is real, I could die.

Hearing the alarm ring startled Shunketsu a bit, but he didn't have much time to reflect on it, being that Aichou was already on the run, with Hikari on her back...

Shunketsu followed...he was glad Aichou wasn't going at full speed, because first off, he wouldn't be able to catch up...and secondly, he had a promise to keep to Medixia...he can't leave Hikari unprotected...

When the aarm sounded, he was o a s surprised or jolted by it as some of the students seemed to be. He just smiled and he laughed as he looked around him self at all the other sudents. He couldn`t help but feel like a bit of a weakling in the squad of people...Hikari, Aichu, and his good friend Kaosu. He was going to be blown out of the water today by the other students for sure. He heaved a sigh and then just took off running with the rest of the class. He was close behind Kaosu and the rest of them and he wasn`t letting up at all. He refused to be bested here, he had to do well. He was hard on Aichu`s tail in no time and though he wasn`t AS fast, he was still trying.

One of the doors that made up the entrance way to the zanpaktou dojo opened just slightly. The full berth of it could have gotten very wide, but he only needed to open it enough to let himself slip through, and then close it behind him without making that much noise. He looked to see either the emptyness of the room or the fullness of the class present; either way he was a few minutes late. So he tried his best to slip quietly into the room, to the back if it was full of people, and watch to see what any teacher present might have to say. If it was empty, he would simply take a seat and wait for others to arrive.

The classroom, sadly, was mostly empty, except for a woman coiled in a large chair at what would be considered the 'head' of the classroom. She seemed to be relaxing for the moment, her eyes half-closed.

A slight fluttering of her eyelashes indicated she was at least marginally alert. Her skin was a dusky color, and bold purple hair was cut short. One corner of her mouth curled back, revealing a not-quite fanged smile.

"Yo," her soft greeting. Her outfit, it would be good to note, was one with no sleeves to afford her freedom of movement, and a long white haori was tucked around her slender body.

He waited a moment to make sure there wasn't someone else hidden around here that she was talking to, then he gave a bow of his head.

"Good morning, sensei. Please excuse my tardiness." He didn't offer an excuse for why he was late; did it really matter, after all? He had a reason if he was asked though. Glancing to the side, he wondered if he actually was late though, or if he didn't realize there was some sort of delay. At least he was in the right classroom..he thinks.
