As Ben walked he picked up the scent of a Lycan, it was moving infront of him. Comming closer Ben realised it was stalking someone. Ben fell back into a crowd looking, he caught look of the lycan and decided to follow. Weaving in and out of people Ben kept up with the lycan in front of him, the lycan was walking very fast, but kept his distance teh lycan wsa definitely stalking, Ben wasn't sure what though he needed a better view. Ben darted into an alleyway and made his way onto the roof he did this quite quickly considering Ben was tired. On the roof he could see the whole street. Ben scanned looking for his lycan.

Having heard enough of the music Willow sighed in contentment and pulled a few crisp green bills from a black leather wallet in her right front pocket. She had never been one to carry a purse around, and thought it a weak and stupid female human habit. The wallet, however, she had to admit was a necessity for this city. Tossing the bills into the basket, Willow passed by, deciding on heading to the Demon's hideout that the Elder Neko had spoken of. As she headed off to the south, a thought suddenly struck her. Neko had mentioned being one of the youngest Demons around New York, yet she was an Elder. ...Had times changed so much that the young and powerful overtook the old and wise? Neko had seemed like a carefree innocent, especially for being an Elder.

Suddenly stopping in her tracks, Willow growled. Not from the people that had been behind that bumped into her, cursing loudly at her sudden stop, but at the feeling she had first had when meeting the two. Not to be trusted. She always felt that way when meeting someone at first, but the so-called Demon Hideout seemed now like a trap that she was running blindfolded into. Just because they were demons didn't mean she should fall into step so easily with them...

Being smacked into by another human, Willow cursed herself for not keeping up with her walking. She was making a spectacle of herself. Turning in the opposite direction, she forced her way through the oncoming flow of people, getting knocked back and forth constantly but still steadily making her way through the crowd. Seeing an ally up ahead, she slipped away from the crowd and into the darkness to think a little more on her decision.

Willow leaned back against the grimy brick wall of an old appartment complex. "To trust, or not to trust?" She asked. She soon got into an arguement with herself that would have made any that tried to read her mind at the moment think she was some sort of schizophrenic. Yes, she was a bit mad at times, but the only times that she had ever been truly crazy were the times on the battlefield. The life of a soldier was hers no longer. Not now. Maybe later on in life she would pick up the sword again, but for now it was merely a source of protection and occasional amusement.

Willow's attention suddenly left her thoughts and she held her breath, amethyst eyes locking onto a figure that stumbled anxiously down the alleyway to where she stood. She couldn't tell who, or for that matter, WHAT it was that was moving sluggishly towards her (the smell of the nearby dumpster was overwhelming her senses, making it hard to pick out any certain thing). The figure suddenly stopped moving, stiffening. Its head turned towards her, eyes of golden amber staring back at her. Enraged, the sillhouette of the creature suddenly became a lot bulkier... the moonlight reflected off silken fur, and when she looked back up to the face, she noticed it was a bit longer, with wolf like ears so much like her own protruding from its head. It didn't take much effort to recognize the creature to be a lycan... a bigger one at that. It apparently decided that Willow was to be its food source.

It was far back enough into the alley not to be noticed by the humans on the sidewalk, but Will thought it would be best if she lured it back into a part of the alley that was a bit more...secluded. Pushing off from the wall, Willow started off into a run, heading further down the alley and taking a right. She immediately heard the Lycan behind her. She kept traveling, making left and right turns until she found herself at a dead end. Turning, she saw the wolfish beast was only yards away from her, now slowing its movement to a slow walk. It had all the time in the world. Grinning, Willow unsheathed the old katana that she always kept hidden on her left hip. She also had all the time in the world... and no fear of holding back. No one could see them here, so long as she kept away from a narrow sidealley that was about four feet behind the lycan and to the left.

The lycan suddenly charged at her, bloodlust evident from the look in its eyes. This alley not being wide enough even for Willow to sidestep it, Willow had no choice but attempt to jump over the creature. Though she was not a speed demon, the girl had long legs. Making a short running jump to the nearest wall, she ricocheted off of it at an angle, and over the beast that had been running towards her. To her surprise the beast immediately spun to follow her with its eyes. Jumping, it attempted to intercept her in mid-air, sharp claws on its right hand coming forward in an aimed slash to her left shoulder. Willow moved the katana into the way of the slash, and repelled the attack, the loud sound of what could have been metal against metal echoing through the alley.

Because Willow had blocked the attack, she had also sent herself flying backwards towards the ground, and barely landed on her feet. She slid back a foot or two, bareing her own fangs at the creature as it also landed with a thud. This time, she did not wait for an invitation. In a quick charge, she went into close combat, holding the katana with only her right hand while her left guarded herself.

Making a quick stab towards the creatures stomach, she pulled back immediately without even bothering to check if her attack had hit. Following the stab in a swift arch was a slash going upwards diagonal to the right. She attempted to hit the creature with the tip of her blade in the left side, and followed up with a quick punch to the jaw using her left hand. At each attack the lycan just moved backwards until it finally saw an opening after the punch and grabbed her left arm as it retracted from the missed blow to the jaw.

The lycan picked her up by the arm, a wolfish smirk on its face. Grimacing, Willow countered by slashing at the arm the lycan had a grip on her with. Howling in pain, the creature threw her backwards, into a wall where she landed in a heap. The cut was deep in its arm, but it didn't seem to affect the lycan at all as it flew into a rage and charged towards Willow. At that time, Willow had been making an attempt to get up from off the ground, but within a moment found herself slammed back into a wall and the wind knocked out of her from the sudden impact of the lycan's forearm with her stomach. Her weapon slipped from the grip of her fingers like water, landing on the ground with a clang. The lycan let out a low, but satisfied grunt, grinning like a madman.

A low growl escaped Willow's throat, her eyes flashing dangerously. It seemed she'd have to resort it. She had never liked using it in such crowded places where she might easily be seen, but for now it was either that or unleash something far worse. She had no desire fall into a mad bloodthirsty rage. She'd use it in its most harmless form. "Put me down..." She rasped, giving him one warning. To her surprise the lycan, instead of shaking its head or responding in its native tongue, spoke in the human dialect. For a lycan in its full form, that was a hard thing. She knew, from having known a few in the past. "N' let ma pre' escape ter liff another dai'? Ter 'liff as eh filthy rat tha' infests oor hoom? Ie think no'..." Though not perfect, she understood his words well enough. The lycan pushed her into the wall harder, attempting to crush her where she stood. However, Willow had had enough of this.

Closing her eyes for but a moment, she appeared to be giving into death and embracing it fullheartedly. Suddenly though, her eyes opened again, and amethyst flashed to red for but an instant. The lycan's arm, as well as its back suddenly were set alight. Howling in agony, it threw Willow from its grasp, away from the wall and onto the ground. Rolling on the ground, the beast attempted to extinguish the flames. However, they didn't seem to want to go out. Willow stood up, dusting herself off and began walking away from the flame engulfed creature. Before she could get more than a few feet away, it was suddenly on its feet in a frenzy, and tackled her to the ground, scratching her, punching her, even making attempts to bite her though before it had the chance, the beast burst completely into flames, and fell limp atop her. The flames did not seem to touch Willow, nor did she seem burnt in any places. Heaving the beast off of her, Willow took a ragged breath. That last stunt was sure to attract the attention of some friendly, and unfriendly immortals. Even if it was weak and not very powerful magic, it was still enough, she knew.

Blood flowing freely and rapidly from deep, open wounds, Willow traveled at a slow limp (for it was all she could do not to collapse from bloodloss) over to where her sword lay, and put it away with the same painstaking sluggishness. Standing again, she leaned heavily against the walls as she moved to leave the alley. However, she stopped suddenly. Where would she go? If she went out into the crowd, it was sure to cause a panic. That was not how she wanted to be discovered. Any unfriendly immortal or hunter that caught a whiff of her blood would be on top of her at any moment, and any outside the alley would be waiting for her to make an attempt to leave, or otherwise come in to finish her off. Slumping against a wall, Willow let out a painfilled groan and suddenly blacked out.

Sadyenya
As the others followed the two trails and split without word from Will, Sady stayed put and waited for Will's directions. She was confident in her abilities but she wasn't going to screw up on her first mission especially one this important.

Nailuj calmly walked down the street while quietly fingering his swords at his waist and spotted Sadyenya down an alleyway. He turned and cautiously approaching them, not sure whether they were honest friends or fiends of the night. The Haven had sent him out as soon as he arrived and registered as a hunter.

Hello, my name is Nailuj. I've been sent out to accompany you in your hunting group.

He quietly stared at Sady then at Will before saying more.

I'm pledging allegiance and I am going to help you guys on the hunt...I caught word of somethings that have happened.

He stared at them waiting for their answer.

Krii'Ouse followed Esou's sense of smell, and tracked the blooy trail through the alleyway. The trail of blood moved away from the scent. he moved towards on splotch, and sniffed it. 'Strange... this isn't blood...'

He stood up, and followed the scent now. The vampires had played some sort of trick. Where the trail had split off, there was a larger pool of blood. 'They must've caught him there, and covered the wound...' he deduced. 'Smart bastards...'

He followed the scent to a bulding with an iron door. He put his ear to the door, and heard people inside. He sniffed the air. Vampires. 's**t...' he thought. He snuck away from the door. He clicked his wrist messenger on, and sent a message through cyberspace to Will.

Sady glanced sideways at the newcomer before looking at Will and back to the new hunter.

Well, we can use all the help we can get. Welcome to the New York Hunters.

Nailuj quietly smirked at Sadyenya as he stood near her. He then bowed respectfully towards Will.

It is an honor to finally meet you Will..I have heard so much about you.

Nailuj straightened back up and looked back at Sadyenya.

My name is Nailuj, I am taking a guess that you are Sadyenya? I heard about you being a new member and all..

He stared at Sadyenya in silence.

Eihwa

~ Eihwa, from skimming the rooftops, suddenly falls from her tracks like a fly, her mind reeling from the shock of Jaques's pain. The bridge she had formed with the man was crumbling yet had remained in it's dwindling connection for some time now as if weaning herself from him. Though she had tried to block herself from any direct communication, his thoughts of her strike out in agony and had caused her focus to glitch.
It all happens so quickly and her body is pulled by mother nature to the hard cement below, landing with a sickening thud in an alleyway between two buildings. Her game with the Lycan would not be paused, as she doesn't expect it to when her consciousness returns after two minutes, plenty of time she realizes for the beast to gain considerable ground.
Eihwa struggles to her feet and her body is charged with the task of healing those broken bones, tumbling back to the ground until her legs are mended.
A piercing scream had escaped her mind, her lips unladen with such cries for help, but her attention is now on Jaques - forcing her to seek out the Coven as quickly as possible. Her refreshed legs start her with haste toward said house while her eyes and ears keep a stern lookout for the Lycan. ~

~ Eihwa's pained steps grow more and more confident as her body pieces together the damaged muscles and ligaments. She gives one great stretch which produces a few minor pops as her shoulders slip back into their sockets, sighing in relief before she resumes her pace toward the Coven.
Giving one quick glance back toward the city, Eihwa places herself under a mental block until her feet grace the surface of the steps that Jaques is surely behind. She lets herself fall back into connection with him, though her attatchment is less childish then when they first met - holding herself with more esteem when she steps through the Coven door. ~

She straightened up and looked at him almost alarmed he knew her.

Yes, you are correct, but we will have enough time for correct introductions later after the hunt.

Bridget and Sanchez continued to follow Aiden as he hunted down Jaffar's
blood trail... But she was aware to maintain contact with Will and the others so Bridget made check calls at intervals on the com-link.

Ben made his way along the roof tops following the Lycan, Ben still couldn't see what the lycan was stalking. Dropping down on some bins Ben made it back to ground level. The lycan headed round into a cafe, Ben feel back watching.

Lady Dracor
((OOC: sorry, i ended up being away for the weekend. much fun ensued with that.))

The young hunter was startled by Reno's kiss, but she had a ready reply. "Some place that serves champagne." She may not look like it now in her short black skirt, tank top, and tall combat boots, but she was a refined woman that couldn't quite let go of all of her past.

"But for now, Reno, I think it's best we hunt." Already, she was excited; it had been several months since her last hunt, and she was eager for it to begin. Absentmindedly, Integra fingered her whip lovingly. It had served her quite well, old-fashioned though it was.

Reno ran his hand through his hair and chuckled."Alright lets do this." Reno looked at her as they walked on particularly looking at her butt as they walked.'Huh, she looks nice. I'll have to keep my eye on her.Who says I cant have some romance on this job.'

~Fukai_ Mori~
Eden had been so preoccupied by talking to Cookie that she had completely forgotten about Midnight snuggled within her coat. She smiled and chuckled at the kitten, but was worried that she'd be scolded for bringing a kitten along on a hunt. The kitten started purring, and it got loud enough so that it escaped the coat and could be heard if close enough.

Eden stroked the kitten, then put it on her shoulder- the most sensible place she could think of. The kitten's body was barely as long her shoulder, but it's legs made it long enough. The tiny claws were clinging to the coat, and the kitten mewed in disapproval of her new resting place. Eden just smiled and quietly said to the kitten, "Mids, it's there or in my pocket, you choose." As though the kitten understood her, it clinged even harder to her coat now. She chuckled abit and remarked, "Yeah, that's what I thought, now please keep quiet. People already will probably find me strange for having a kitten on my shoulder, if they see me talking to it then they'll think I've lost my sanity." She chuckle quietly again, and ventured further into the alley.

She looked around at the scene, seeing a few trails of blood, lots of droplets, and a few smears as well. She thought to herself: This must have been the scene where this Jaffar was slaughtered... Poor guy, he must've been cornered and surrounded... Not much chance for escape that way... She also noticed that the walls of the buildings were chipped, it looked like some bullets had hit them, did the vampires have guns? Or did someone come to attempt a rescue? Either way he still died, from what Cookie had said at least.

Eden kneeled down, seeing some blood, and gently dipped her finger into it and rubbed it inbetween her fingers. It hadn't hardened yet, but it was starting to get more sticky and sappy-like, he must've died a few hours ago. She stood back up, and looked around alittle more, still hesitant of the other hunters who likely had much more experience than her. She spotted a fifteen-year-old girl, or at least she seemed around that age. Perhaps she had alittle more experience than her, but as for the other hunters, likely not.

Then she saw two other hunters, they appeared to be having a conversation, and Eden caught the word "dinner". Perhaps they were going to eat after their hunt. She decided to go ask them what was going on, so she approached them. Eden approached them boldly, not showing any fear, but she didn't look intimidating. She went up to the male who had just uttered dinner and asked, "Is this by any chance a person named Jaffar's deathscene?" She waited patiently, knowing that this guy would likely be alittle confused by her sudden appearance.
