Tenpo felt it getting closer, "It's that wolf again" He frowned. "Go Move now. I'll stall until you get to where you need to go" he said.
"Let's go sis. I think he can handle himself." Kenbu said.

"Be careful." She said as she went along with her brother.
Primal stalked up the steps and looked up up at Tenpo. He snarled and backed down a bit. It wasn't out of fear, but Primal wasn't good with uneven ground.

Tenpo removed his gun from his coat and reloaded the ammo in it. "Uneven grounds= an uneven fight." He said looking down at Primal. "One who is Primal has primal instincts. . . . personally, I don't want to fight one who is wounded, but you're looking quite healthy actually" he smiled. "And you're on your last life too. I'll end this quickly. I don't want to bother you too much longer" He said with a weak smile. He aimed at Primal, hand as steady as stone.

Primal took one look at the gun. He made a split second decision to retreat. Hell no, he wasn't going to die now! The wolf dashed down the steps, away from Tenpo.

Tenpo smiled, "Good idea" he put the gun away and headed toward the shrine.

The townspeople were at the shrine, few of them were praying for safety.
Hoseki on the other hand was sitting near the enterance. She looked at the steps and saw a rather fat bull frog sitting near the side.

Tenpo walked up with a soft smile, "I see you're ok. That's good" he said sitting next to her swiftly.

"Huh?" She was completely caught off guard. She lost her fixed gaze on the frog and looked at Tenpo. Into those green eyes. . . .
"Yeah. So is the wolf gone?" She asked.

Tenpo smiled and gave a nod, "Yes. It seems he's afraid of me. But I also believe it's because of the fact that he has 7 lives and he's on his last leg" he gave a nod accepting the thought for himself.

"Huh. . . I wonder if there's other wolves like him. That might be something to be worried about." She thought out loud. Hoseki looked down the steps, trying find the fat frog again. Damnit, it was gone.

Tenpo laughed, "Perhaps there is, but perhaps there isn't" he said looking up. "One should think positive. A young friend of mine told me that before. She giggled, "Hair like a silver moon? That's a good line to use in a story." Hoseki stopped trying to find the frong and sighed, "You think it's safe to go back into the village?"

"I'd figure it would be, but it's better to stay here for the time being" He said. "That wolf may not be gone and is waiting for me to leave. I don't intend on doing anything like that anytime soon" a soft smile was on his face, amost as if assuring her of safety.

A few weeks passed and Tenpo had left for a few days and promised his return to the village. he returned days after with a box in his coat. he greeted the people around him that he walked past and smiled kindly. Entering the sculpting store, he looked around for Hoseki. He'd seemed to be finding himself looking for her a lot recently. "Hoseki-chan?" he called.
