Marty, you should just change your Dojo's name to "Child Corrective Services". It was at the Y actually. The kid had the attention span of a tumbleweed. The kata he was doing is basically walking forwards and backwards while blocking and punching, so you're supposed to be looking in front of you. The kid's looking all over the place. His mom's sitting there telling him to pay attention. It's not working, because frankly, that never works. So I tell him, "Doing your kata is like being in an imaginary fight, so I'm going stand directly in front of you just like the person you're fighting would be. Now, the second you take your eyes off of me I'm going to come across this room and knock your head clean off." The boy's focus was flawless after that.

Last time I bothered to check my worth was in '06, when I was worth 11 mil over all my accounts. It's probably gone up since then, but since I don't plan on selling any of my stuff it's probably moot.
I'm in this zone where I'll always only ever have half as much as is needed to get mini wings, so why bother.
