Blake watched as Desde fired the first spell and Kenneth only defended himself and pushed the little Gryffindor down. He then saw her cast another spell. He wondered if he should join in, but wanted to wait until the opposition attacked. He watched Desde for some indication perhaps.

Rosewood Nicolette Edgecombe~Ravenclaw 4thyear "A rose by any other name would smell as sweet...Rose had gotten bored of waiting.She wanted to be a part of the action. She was inf act a 4th year. She had some small chance...a small window of opportunity. She tiptoed by the side of the wall right before the entrance to the hall. She had to fight in honor of mudbloods everywhere.She saw Sparrow and froze. Damn.She caught me.She stood against the wall pretending to ignore her as she waited for Lily.She was as quiet as possible and didn't move a muscle,so as not to be found. Her cheeks were covered in a red stripe that made her resemble a football player.

"Actions of a desperate woman trying to maintain control she never had." he replied to her. The temperature in the Great Hall shot up as the wall of flame advanced forward from Desdemona's wand. A bead of sweet rolled down Kenneth's forehead as he took a step forward to put himself in front of Al's shield spell, he noticed in his periphery vision that Aludra had stepped forward as well to and added her own defense, and cast his own spell. "AGUAMENTI!" he shouted as a jet of water escaped his wand and crashed into the wall of flame. When the jet of water and the wall of fire meet, a huge sizzling sound was generated as the water attempted to snuff out the flame.

Al coughed as the smoke from the flames surrounded and overwhelmed her, but breathed deeply as more shield charms were cast and the flames began to get hosed down by Kenneth.

(wait...isn't conjunctivitis supposed to be painful? That's what Krum used on his dragon and it was in so much pain it squashed all the eggs...)
Desdemona screamed in frustration as another of her curses did not hit. Irritated, she glanced at the younger students trickling in. Yes, they would do nicely...it was so much easier picking on these weaker brats earlier. Picking out one from the group, she called, "Petrificus Totalus!"]
