How long was it until sunset? Rhia had been expecting the Eevee to just be out in a field or something judging from the news report, but apparently they'd all gone to ground. A result of the same creature that had knocked that man unconscious? Or was it the darkness she'd been warned about that? She bit her lip nervously and checked the ground again, looking in the center of a five-trunked tree.

The disappearing Flareon act was a sharp echo of the Eevee from earlier too.

"These Eevee and their evolutions are fast. I don't know how anyone expects to catch them."

She debated letting Aimee out, but the two trainers would be enough eyes. She didn't want Aimee getting hurt if they spooked something.

Zinnia nodded brightly, getting up from their table and going to the cashier to get her drinks. She decided to let Opal order the "something sour," since she seemed to be Meeka's friend.

"Um..." Zinnia said, looking at the menu. "I'll have... a... An orange smoothie with mint whipped cream, please! And a cup of water for Zyk," she added, gesturing to the pokemon perched on her shoulder.

The cashier looked at Zin like she was a crazy person, but got what the girl ordered. Everyone knows that mint and orange do not go well together. That is, everyone besides Zinnia, it would appear. Zinnia carried the items back to where Meeka was sitting and set them down. Then she mixed the whipped cream into the smoothie into a light orange blend and proceeded to drink it. She thought that it was good, apparently, for she let out a satisfied, "Mmm!" and continued to consume it. Zyk drank gratefully from his cup.

"Thanks, um..." Zinnia paused, having realized that she still didn't know Meeka's name.

Lisa pondered this for a moment, then shook her head. "I don't think we should abandon the valley just yet, but we can go nearer to the forest if you like. I was under the impression that eevee preferred meadows and fields, not forests, but I could be wrong." She shrugged, "But you have a point, and I certainly don't want to be out a meal OR shower! I'll go where you lead, Ruchii. And sorry about the mistake, Mister Felix." Lisa rubbed the back of her head in embarrassment.

Temporal Gate looked at the Delcatty with a blank stare, his sea green eyes seeming to stare right through him. he said as he turned around and threw Bandit on to his back with his mouth. Bandit squeaked,

" . . . Meeka, heh." Meeka finished when she grabbed her smoothie. "Aspear and lime, yum!" Guzzling it down, Meeka released the cup from her mouth and burped. Goodness, gracious! Hadn't Esteev taught her better that that?!

Terri sighed and shook her head, sniffing up at Zin. She did not know this girlie and the female had an odd scent about her due to her choice of drink. She was interesting . . . to say the least.

Stumbling around in a hot forest in search of Pokemon that might not be there is really not a pleasant occupation, Corn was coming to realize. There's bugs that bite, the heat makes you tired and uncomfortable, AND, after all that, there is no promise of a reward - nothing even remotely close to a promise, more like a sniveling, lying hint.

At first, there had been some stealth involved, some need to sneak up on and surprise whatever may be out there. After a while of stewing in the heat, that pretense dropped like a ton of bricks. All Corn wanted now was to find a way out of the damn woods, or at least find another person to be miserable with.

Tabitha had let the group go ahead to explore the forest. Not because she didn't want to see the Eevee but because she didn't feel like risking being attacked...again with her injured leg. So she'd stayed in the room she was going to share with the others before she went down to see if Yuzu was still causing the nurses hell. When she entered the pokecenter it was empty, well as empty as it could be with everyone rumaging around the town and the forest. Now then...where was that man they'd brought in earlier and the nurses that were taking care of him...?

"Maybe. We should probably check it out, just to be safe," Oyumi said lightly, sending Rhia a nervous smile and stepping forward to step into the opening. She glanced around through the ferns, and turned to nod at the other girl. "I know what you mean. There's quiet, and then there's silence. I don't hear anything going on in here. It's like all the Pokemon turned tail and headed for the hills or something..."
