((YAAAAAAAAAY Titan's Fists!))

The force of the returning power from the Djinni actually caused Joe to stumble back a step. The white fire consumed him before he had fully recovered, leaving him again as an 8-ft tall (or so, no one has yet measured) being with no facial features, and indeed, no other features other than the metal gauntlets on his arms.
Resuming his bow-and-arrow stance, Joe drew. As he did, a long, sleek, deadly-looking arrow appeared, over three feet long when fully drawn. Glowing with magical energy, it definitely looked like it would pack a punch.
Joe let it fly, following it closely with two more of the same.

Helmsborough hissed as the arrows broke against his shield but burned him a little through his shield through their raw, unexpected heat.

Seeing the effect that his arrows had on the previously untouchable Helmsborough, Joe drew again, this time pumping triple the energy into the arrow. It grew broad and flared bright enough that it hurt to look at.
Joe fired, the force of the Wind-bow propelling it so fast that it was nothing more than a laser-like blur.

Helmsborough grunted and intercepted the arrow with his sword, dispersing the heat source before it could reach him, but he looked very wary now.

Joe whistled as he drew again. "Man, this is amazing!" He called as he fired a trio of arrows. As soon as they left the bow, Joe flashed forward, appearing at Helmsborough's off-hand (since no one knows if he's left handed or right handed...), aiming a flaming Fist at him from an angle perpendicular to where the sword would need to go to block the arrows.

((He's ambidextrous. Channeling a demon god develops your brain meats! biggrin ))

Helmsborough slammed his sword against the gauntlet and expanded his shield's radius, holding the sword with both hands as another magic blast came with a burst of red light at Joe's torso.

((Ohh, that makes sense. Then we'll say that it was the hand not holding the sword, yeah?))

The arrows dispersed harmlessly on the shield, but not uselessly. Taking note of Helmsborough's most used (and most obvious) move, Joe recaptured the energy from the arrows, added in approximately...oh, carry the one...three shittons of energy from himself, and formed one hell of a flaming sword. It swept in neatly to cut across Helmsborough's attack, keeping it from harming Joe.
Joe followed the block by generating another sword, using slightly less energy, and stabbing in straight at the shield, while slashing the bigger sword across it. He still wasn't clear on how the shield/angle thing worked.

Helmsborough blocked both of them clumsily and tried to blast Joe back with an magic burst.

Darius was not much of a thinker, but he'd actually been watching the Hunters since Paul first read the journal. He knew how to copy.

If the Sage's annihilation shield wasn't enough to stop Siber's demon from manipulating the elements within it, then Darius should have no problems.

After a brief liquidation, he slammed himself back together (now standing at about fourteen feet) and called out silently to the elements. More particularly, he called to the water and iron in Helmsborough's blood - bidding it to break free, to find weak points in the body they were in and to escape. Helmsborough was still mortal, one way or another; Abaddon could only do so much, and prevent his avatar's death was apparently not one of them.

His opponent's clumsy block allowed Joe to bounce the larger sword off of the block, which he then twisted to stop the magic counterattack.
Jumping back and slamming the two swords together, Joe formed them into an arrow even stronger than any of the previous ones. He was learning to recycle his energy.
"What's the matter, Jon?" he called. "You seemed so unstoppable earlier!" He fired the massive bolt, oblivious to the fact that he timed it almost perfectly with Darius' internal assault.

Jacob had backed off from the fight once the fighting got heavy...well, heavier.
He was taken aback by the impressive display of magic that was going on. Joe's fiery form and metal gauntlets, Darius' transformation, and Helmsborough's...well, Helmsborough himself.
He also hated the fact that he could do nothing, nothing but watch.

Helmsborough split the arrow down the center and absorbed its energy, as well as much of the environment's, as he plunged his sword into himself again. A small spurt of his blood shot out from the wound and stabbed into Darius. Abaddon, evidently, was open to new ideas, and had decided to attempt Darius' attack in reverse.

"If you really want to do this, then let's go," growled Helmsborough, again in his fully-channeling form.

((Umm...ok. Wait. Not to like, seem like I know - well, anything, but how does Helmsborough get energy from the enviorment if Joe is in Djinn Avatar mode? Doesn't he powersponge?))

Joe crouched, then used as much energy as he could, both physical and magical, to launch himself in an arch that would take him about ten feet over the opposing Avatar.
At his apogee, Joe drew and fired, keeping up a stream of deadly attacks until he hit the ground. Then, he flashed backwards, firing a final attack with about as much energy as he could shove into it.

Darius snapped at the water, and, rather abashedly, it dropped like a stone as it ought. At this point, Darius had touched seventeen feet. That hadn't worked either; he needed a fresh strategy, and he had a sort of anti-solution. His skin was shadow. He could choose his form. Compacting the elements, they drew together into first a head, then a pair of shoulders, a female torso, hips, then finally legs.

There he stood, imitating Legion's imitation. He had been watching; he'd seen the picture. Last time he had merely gotten very, very angry, and started attacking in a way that Legion could resist but Darius suspected he himself could not. He might be switching out the elements he was built up of to another set, very shortly.

((Well, he doesn't need the energy to transform. He just, ah, counter-sponged it when he activated it.))

Helmsborough dashed towards where Joe was landing, saw Joe reverse direction and snapped a chain up at him from the ground, catching him right after his attack fired off. Helmsborough roared as he rode the shockwave backwards and tackled Darius.

"No," he hissed. He grabbed Darius' imitation head and grimaced. Arcs of red-tinted electricity crackled around his lips. He lowered his face towards Darius' face.

((Smexy. By the way, anyone know where Keilven/kkid and Agnese are?

Not their characters, but their players. No life signs from them for quite some time.))
