In the darkness, a trash can suddenly went flying into the air, spilling its contents all over the ground. The cause of the sudden motion? A young girl, quickly darting through the ally to get away from a small group of three men that were apparently chasing after her. One of the men pulled a small radio from his pocket lifted it to his face as he ran. "Target in sight, running onto Pacific Ave. Still no abnormalties sighted. He and the rest of the group came to a halt as they turned onto the sidewalk, looking around before spotting the girl running onto the opposite side of the street a few yards away. They began their persuit again.
They weren't really a organized, or experienced group as most of their kind were. Just regular humans who knew what everyone else denied. Yeah, they were thought to be crazy, but they knew they were right...at least they thought they were. There suddenly came a voice from the radio that snapped the young man from his thoughts.. "Are you sure that she's one of 'em? Don't dare shoot until you have confirmation, Scott. Remember last time?" "I know, I know. Just shut up will you? When we have her, then you can critisize me." Scott replied, pulling a pistol from his other pocket and firing a warning shot into the air as he caught sight of the girl again.
~Meanwhile~ Willow rounded yet another corner as a shot rang through the air, signalling that this time the hunters meant business. She hadn't expected to be recognized as a demon on sight by these guys, and she had no idea who they were exactly. They didn't look like they were part of any official hunters organization, considering they were only carrying small pistols as far as she saw. And they didn't seem to fire anything different than a regular bullet. Diving into the cover of an another ally, Willow took a moment to catch her breath, though she hardly had any time. "There she is!" She heard one of them call, and another shot was fired, this time ricocheing off a nearby wall and hitting the floor. There wasn't much she could do except run. This place was packed with people, and they probably all thought she had stolen something, or worse. Even the allies had their fair share of drug addicts and alcoholics spewing from them. It wouldn't be very good if she disposed of these guys in plain sight.

There had to be a way to get these idiots off of her tail without having to deal with bodies, or having to hide. That meant she needed to outrun them. :I know I'm not the fastest in the world...but...: Willow suddenly blinked, a wide grin on her face as an idea struck her. She suddenly ran into another ally, and disappeared into the darkness.
~And...back to Scott~ The girl had ran into another ally. When would she learn that she couldn't lose them that way? Scott steadied himself, and with the rest of the group ran into the ally, looking around. The girl was gone? No, it couldn't be, she couldn't vanish like that. They had already figured out she wasn't a speed demon. Looking from side to side, and then upwards, all they could find was a rather large black dog digging through a dumpster. It turned its attention towards Scott, deep amethyst eyes staring at him curiously before dismissing him as not being worth its time and went back to digging through the trash for food. Scott was the first to lower his gun, sighing deeply. He lifted the radio to his face again, and spoke. "Target's vanished. Presumably escaped. There was no sign that she was a threat for now, so we're just going to call it a night." Putting away his gun, Scott and the group walked out of the ally, heading for their home base to rest.
~Willow~ Watching the group leave out of the corner of its eyes, the large dog seemed to relax a bit, and heaved an all too human sigh. In the blink of an eye, the large dog had vanished, and in its place, sat Willow. She seemed rather happy to have avoided trouble for the night, and leapt from her perch on the side of the dumpster to the ground. She walked further into the ally and then came out on the opposite side and just leaned against the side of a small restaraunt to look up at the sky.

She walked smoothly from her place, her mind full of all the things the woman had said to her. She stopped for a moment in a large crowd, letting many of them pass her. Her animal instincts kicked in. She lured one of the people away from the group, one of the younger and weakly ones. She took the small one into a back ally, her mind set. She needed a bit more food for the night. She kicked the small boy, his petty clothes and small mug catching her eye as the few pennies he had spilt out of them. She grinned. She placed one now booted foot on the boy's throat, her intentions clear. "What do you want from me?" The boy asked in a black panic. "You're food to me now." She grinned again as she spoke, watching the young male's eyes widen into saucers. He began struggling beneath her foot, but she firmly held him in place as her body changed. She grew taller, her muscles convulsing and growing, her eyes changing from their exuberant green, to a mutt's yellow. They glowed at the weak boy, his eyes now closed. "It isn't real. It isn't real." He continually muttered to himself as she changed. When she was finished, she touched the boy's hair as it she were his mother. He opened his eyes hopefully, the boot now replaced by emptiness. "Don't kid yourself." She muttered to his face, her mouth full of teeth. He began screaming, or trying to. She had his esophagus in her clenched fist. She tore him apart. The boy was mangy and had not a bit of fat, but a lot of muscle to replace. That was strange, he didn't seem that strong. She devoured his body, throwing the leftover bones into a nearby trash bin. She licked her fingers clean of the blood as she changed back into her normal form. She felt it was best to leave the spilt blood where it was, it looked only like brown paint from normal passerby. She cleaned her blood-ridden face of all residual juices. She continued on her way, examining the stains on her black cloak. She pulled the hood up, only her red teeth could be seen through the shadow. She was grinning all the time.

Amber now walked heavily toward Haven, tears uncontrollably streaming from her eyes. However, though the tears flowed, she never made a sound; she walked in silence.

Morgan was walking, then she saw Amber. Amber had been so cheerful when they had first met, but now she was upset and carrying a dead body; obviously the reason for her being so upset.
She decided to follow after Amber to possibly help her by simply being there for her. Poor Amber was dealing with this loss all alone and she felt that Amber needed someone. ((Exit to Haven))

Growing weary, Willow pulled a small mp3 player and bandless headphones from her pocket. She put on the headphones, and turned the mp3 player on. From a foot or so away, you could hear progressive metal pounding through her ears, long, fast guitar riffs being played by expert hands. Willow slipped back into the alley, heading towards the outskirts of the city, where her makeshift home lay hidden in a small forest.
((Oo; I don't really see any "Outskirts of the City" thread, or anything like it, so I'm guessing I stay within this thread. >>'))

~ Eihwa enters the city casually after finishing her meal indoors, she then places a cigarette between her lips and lights it, taking in the initial drag slowly. She wanders about for a little while before finding a suitable place to rest her behind, not that she needed any relief from walking. From the first drag comes the second, and a third before she ashes haphazardly to her right. She doesn't seem to care where the wind carries the spent tobacco, but she watches it nonetheless. Eihwa's hair is pulled back into a bun with stray rivulets of brown that accent the length of her neck. There are no puncture marks, no pallid skin or face abnormalities that might imply she was any different from the mortals that make their busy way by her. Eihwa fit in rather nicely, or rather seemed to blend into the farmost reaches of one's attention. She didn't like to call attention to herself unless she was using it to her advantage; watching people in silence as the smoke is brought to her lips a fourth, and a fifth time. Her hazel eyes burn brightly against the others, the warm blooded people whos lives they apparently cherished. She's watching, and someone somewhere, is watching her - that's just the way it works right? ~

Sady followed the rest of the hunters to the Haven. She had heard about it, but never knew how to get there. Maybe she could meet other hunters there.

Laura sighed her back against a wall as she slid down to the ground. She was tired, worn out and above all hungry. But where could she go ? True she did look human...human enough to pass for one but she disliked them. Ever since she could remember when she had thought she found a friend and told them what she was they turned on her and tried to kill her.

While heading to her little home base, Willow decided to stop and get something to eat while she was at it, and went and grabbed a sub from a local restaraunt. Eating as she walked down the street, Willow took note of her surroundings, making sure she wasn't being followed by anyone. However, she stopped in her tracks after seeing a young girl, looking to be extremely tired and what she presumed to be hungry. Her heart softened, and she ripped off the eaten part of her sub and wrapped the rest up in the paper it had come in. Standing right in front of her, Willow kneeled down to the girl. "You look like you could use something to eat. Here." Willow smiled, and pulled out the wrapped up sub and held it out for the girl. She could tell by smell she wasn't human, and seeing an immortal in such a sorry state saddened her.

Laura looked up a small smile crossing her lips. "thanks" she said take-ing the offered sub. Laura didn't say much more as she took a bite of the food. It was something and it felt good in her mouth.

Willow smiled back at the girl. "You're quite welcome." Standing up, Willow looked around and wondered if this one was by herself. If she was, then did she have a place to stay? "Do you have a place to stay for the night?" She asked softly, voicing her earlier question.

Laura didn't know what to think. She was byherself surely but was there any reason to trust this stranger. True that the woman had given her some food but who knew these days. Laura shrugged speaking softly."....heh..open air sky what more could one want? I usually sleep outdoors"

Willow cocked an eyebrow, looking down at the girl. "In a city with hunter groups that aren't always friendly, and plenty of low humans to steal what you may have with you?" The girl couldn't be serious. Even Willow had enough common sense to know that sleeping in alleyways like most homeless wasn't smart. That, and it was degrading. She blinked, as it suddenly occured to her that this girl wasn't all that trusting of her. "If I was going to hurt you, I would have poisoned the food, you know." She said softly. Hopefully the girl wouldn't think that she poisoned her food now. She didn't, of course. Willow wasn't that cruel. If she had wanted to kill the girl, she would have done it in hand to hand combat.

They were out driving to a house no longer useable to human at least but provided a nest for vampires. They stopped a block a way and each took a little device Bridget had been working on and hoped would provide an edge on her private little war with vampires. The building was all boarded up except where the vamps went in and out. Both her and Sanchez worked themselves up to fifty feet from thier target and swept the area one more time for lookouts(they picked up none). They went in with a flas/bang grenade to confuse the vampires and stormed the dowstairs...Sanches position himself to keep track of the stairs and the hallway. "Good Evening Gentlemen and ladies were here to try out a NEW product if you behave you have my word I nor my partner will leave without shooting....you try and run and we'll smoke you before you know what's happening." The vampires could try and rush her but that didn't look promising, they could go thru the boarded up windows but that wasn't better than rushing the woman. Everybody ready and Bridget fired a device of some kind and it embedded itself into the floor. "Activate the pod"...and it opened it looked like spinning balls from the 70s and it slowly started to rotate...then the UV pulsed covering the entire down stairs where the vampires were located turning them into ashes within seconds. Bridget and Sanchez seached the house and 'sanitized' the house and then waited for them to come back to the house; the stragglers. Between Bridget and Sanchez they picked up another five in the house when they searched and another four who came back to the house. After the sun was full up Sanchez popped a thermite grenade as they left.... "One more place they can't hide." Sanchez said.
