((Okay, here's my stab at this. Took me forever to get it right. I'm leaving it for the others to decide if, where, and how they want to be found.))Vahn Kyonuske Beads of sweat fell off his face in sheets, steam roiling off his body as he buckled to bring himself back from the point of no return. He wheezed and struggled, assorbing back into himself all that fire. Blood poured from his face as cuts and gashes appeared. His entire right arm bled, splattering against the ground as he fell to one knee. The preacher was attracted to one of the critical patients, a young man with bandages wrapping his entire face, obscuring everything but closed eyelids. His right arm was in much worse shape, the bandages bled though no matter had much they were changed. And numerous attemps to sew up the tattered flesh were proving futile. Already, the patient had been given quite a few pints of type O blood. The preacher almost took the man's hand gently, but sensed a disturbance and held back. Hugin "Hmm... interesting. Explain exactly what the job entails, to the letter. Forgive me, but people like me who used to be in a military structure tend to check and see if all angles are open and clean." "Stay put," Yaits commanded, "Something more important's come up."Yarneth knew they might turn up, it was one of the reasons he was so interested in seeing the medical camps. Would this be one of them, one of those he had seen on Leviathan Island. He examined the the battered body the preacher was working up courage to lay hands on, but before the preacher could do so, Yarneth put his own hand on the preacher's shoulder. This find is a sword that cuts both ways, Yarneth communicated to the preacher using a form telepathy, you may be devoured if you even attempt that.
the preacher kept his hands to himself. "This one will be restored by Ymir, but with time," the preacher admitted sadly, "I declare by Ymir's name that he shall recover. Maybe slowly, but Ymir will see to it that his recovery is full and sure."This was the one. The one from whom Yarneth had heard the voices. The one who controlled a power that even Yarneth feared. Was this human, or was this a god? Yarneth tried to communicatte telepathicly, if the being would allow it. What do you think of these humans, Yarneth asked, how can you sacrifice yourself for them? Why do you let yourself suffer for these rat's that pollute the earth with their filth and hate?Yarneth would listen for an answer as the doctor in charge of the patient greeted him. "Where did you find this one?" Yarneth asked. "What's the prognosis?""He was found on Leviathan Island by Recovery Team Loki," the doctor explained, "Multiple lacerations to the face. His right arm, I've never seen anything like it, it looks like it exploded from the inside. It's bleak, he's losing blood because we can't we can't keep his arm together, the bone is undamaged but the flesh looks like it's been through a meat grinder. He's losing blood too quickly, we might have to amputate.""You'll do no such thing. Ymir declares that the man will heal," the preacher whispered, sweating. "His limbs will be restored.""You heard the man," Yarneth said, "He'll heal fully, and he'll keep his arm. That may surprise you, but it is the truth," the preacher said, "Ymir has blessed him. See to it that he get's enough blood, and he will heal far faster than your wildest expectations.""Are there others?" Yarneth asked, knowing full well there were but not willing to give himself away. "If so, are they here as well?"

Her mind replayed the events in Latent thus far- she had been made an offer to join Yarneth's circle of power, without even trying too hard. She had already had an attempt on conversion to the enemy camp- it would happen again, and she would be ready. But this new development that "Yaits" was speaking of was entirely unknown to her.
However, there was a rumor that was starting to spread around... that one of the ones who were injured beyond belief... was the "Flame-Hand" himself. Her eyes widened as the talk spread like wildfire- those that didn't know of him were given incredulous stares. But she knew. You weren't a reconnaisance agent without keeping tabs on someone this damn powerful.
If it really is him... and if Yarneth got a hold of him...
That did not need to happen. She had to confirm whether this was true or not, and if it was... perhaps she could requisition his help somehow. She had to give it a shot. If not, at least he had to be warned that this Yaits was not the real Yaits, but an imposter. A murderer as well, from what she had heard of him.
I have to at least inform him of what the man really is. For now, I can only wait.

[Only You can Save Me - The 69 Eyes]
Humans....?
Hey...
You again...
You... really suck right now.
I'm not like you. I don't need to control everything.
After all these years, you know it's not about control. It's about trying to do everything I can.
.....
And for you, it's about settin' an example, right? Everyone friggin' looks up to you. They listen to you. If you tell them to fight, they'll fight.
As if...
Of course they just need to inspired. And let's face it, "Vahn"... The last time you really inspired anyone--
A shockingly white face suddenly leered in, taking up all the emptiness, yellowed eyes gleaming.
--Was when you were dead.
With a yell, his body suddenly sat up from the bed he was laid in. His only good arm at the moment, the left, rose up as well nearly bowling over the preacher and most likely startling everyone else near him.
Yellowed eyes were wide, and blood sprayed out from re-opened wounds.
He was in a state of post-shock syndrome.

Who controlled the voice that felt who felt that deep rage he felt. he couldn't let this one die. PTSD, the doctor said, staying back as far as possible as he injected 10 MG of Diazepam into Vahn's IV. Yarneth grasped the preacher on the shoulder again, thought, Calm him if you can. The preacher told Vahn to be calm in a soft voice, over and over, hoping the doctors could get a hold of the blood loss from his arm. In desperation, they attempted to a place a tourniquet around the upper arm to better manage the blood loss. "Can this patient be moved?" Yarneth asked, "I want him airlifted to the hospital in Yaits city. He is to be taken to the ICU and given the best of care."

Jasmine walked around, checking out the patients. She couldn't help but notice that, despte their apparently healed state... as she checked the superficial wounds and broken limbs, they were still broken and still there... What the hell? That benediction... it wasn't a blessing at all, was it? Their minds have been dulled to the pain somehow- but the wounds are still there, and still fresh! If they're somehow snapped out of this state they're in... it'll hurt like hell.
Which means that I can't do anything for them, for now.She looked towards the room which the preacher was in and scowled. This was proof that something was seriously wrong here. Blessing of Ymir, my a**...Her resolve was strengthened to bring the organization down for good as she beheld the so called miracle, and thus her mind was properly defended against his words. Such a false healing was evidence of her skepticism, and she was convinced that this had to end. Besides... the man had tried to compromise her integrity. Her bliss turned to anger and outrage at such an act, but she kept it in, putting on her best poker face and trying to ignore the patients as best she could, though she wanted desperately to show them the truth that she had seen. Damn you all for this.Notice Iron Will has been strengthened!

Pupils dilated, even as his body slumped back down onto the bed.
His heart rate managed to drop back down to normal levels, even as his eyes closed over once more.
Unknowingly... when next he opened them.. he wouldn't even be in Latent anymore...

((False Blessing, Yes.)) ((False healing, No.)) ((The reason the preacher didn't try to heal Vahn was because he volatile nature would make him resistant to the dark forces that would attempt to sway his mind as he was healed, and if he fought against it he would injure himself worse and take some people down to boot. In other words, Yaits was being cautious. Also, it is a low power healing spell for minor injuries, broken bones at most, Vahn's state was way too serious for it to do much good anyway.)) Hugin the Raven Jasmine walked around, checking out the patients. Quote: Healing- A power to bind wounds and heal sickness. Injury is bound by exerting dark forces that cloud the victims mind to some degree and make them more vulnerable to the Preacher's suggestion. Poison and illness is actually cured by the Preacher absorbing the darkness in a person's body and making it his own power. The injuries would be healed, bound up completely, but if she could detect residuals of energy wavelengths, there would be an emotional darkness with the healing that would resonate only to those who were extremely sensitive to such things.

((Suggestion: Post that ability as soon as you use it next time! Now you see why I do so- it's confusing as hell when you don't!)) She took note of the healed injuries... but she wondered if there wasn't a price to pay for it. The thing about Jasmine was that she was a clairvoyant. She happened to be the team's mystic as well as their medic- her presence just might do the other squad members some good right now, but she was on her own, just like everyone else. However, she did sense the dark emotions- in fact, she could see them. It took some extra mental concentration and focus, but she could percieve them. For her, it was as plain as day- they were surrounded by a faint aura that was hard to miss for her. They were healed, but there was a price for everything. There may have been a trap, and whatever trap was there, she did not feel like springing it. She could do nothing to help them, for fear of doing something irreversible to them. s**t... sneaky little b*****d! I don't know what you did, but I don't like it...The healing was good... the ulterior motive was not. Her skepticism was confirmed... this was both blessing and curse, and it was the curse that triggered her doubt. Her resolve hardened as she vowed to herself to free these people of the darkness within them, whether they were aware of it or not. The only way she could think of doing that was to take down the organization before this spread any further... she might have been able to sense these things, but she had no way of removing them. Notice Iron Will has been strengthened! ((Now, remember... post any ability you use to avoid confusion and assumption.))

"Mmmm.... mmmm.... Super... Super bomberman..." Joseph mumbled now and again in a near comatose daze. The battle had hit him pretty hard. He wasn't a well seasoned warrior, hell, he wasn't even a warrior coated in rich buttery batter. No, he was a barely in shape schmuck. But hey, he had one advantage.
Even though he had a majority of the Variant 13 virus removed from him weeks ago, some of it still lingered. Normally a virus was a bad thing, but this one was the product of a sentient being. Let me tell you, its good a thing to be buddy buddy with a sentient virus. Two beings in one body had to be better than one right?
Joseph's wounds seemed to stitch themselves together with a thin grey tube like thing. A tube that when cut would leak a substance that would burn anyone but Joseph. Unknown to Joseph the remnants of the virus had created a second circulatory system for itself. Using these veins viral bile could be transported anywhere through the body without messing with his blood. Even better the veins would move on their own to Joseph's advantage. For example, threading wounds together.
Advanced healing he never knew he had. This was an interesting day.
"You makes... makes... The bomb..." At least he was resting peacfuly.

Raven Inustries' Damage Assesment and Disaster Recovery teams were on the scene along with just about every employee, truck, and piece of construction equipment of the Heavy Industries division, surveying the damage to the ports. It was a royal mess, and one that would take damn near two or three months in order to completely restore. Whatever tore through this place, it was nothing good.
Of course, some of them had seen the incoming pirate ship and cannon fire on the news, and shook their heads as if they had lost a bit of their hope. However, those that had not seen such devastation were rallied. This is what they were trained for.
"Let's move, people," the director shouted in his megaphone. "We need to get this place back into shape, yesterday!"
With that, regardless of their doubts, the recovery efforts that Evan White had sent had begun...

Vahn The last thing in his memory had been holding onto Lucind, even as unseen figures moved towards him. He could feel the steam that poured off his body... and the tears that rolled off his cheek, onto the siren's cheek. By that, it was a wonder the woman was still alive. Maybe it was the fang's influence - or that of Vahn's devil-aura - which somehow made Lucind's critical state stagnate. As soon as they were separated and brought into the medical center her cycle collapsed. Her whole body cramped. The heart refused to work after the electrical shock, her breathing stopped and the pulse faded, the blood pressure dicreased. Also, there was this heavy burn on the right side of her ribcage. Both her palms were nothing but an area of melted flesh and the fang's handle had left visible imprints. Several lighter burns could be found all over her body which was barely covered with the shredded remnants of her clothes... Chances were she wouldn't remember once she gained back consciousness, but when the Behemoth's attack had hit the Half-Siren, she found herself floating underwater, only darkness around, she was sinking deeper and deeper: a psionic 'emergency program' had been activated for her body, probably laying on a stretcher and being treated by the medical team, was close to cease working and this program, throwing her mind into the lhor aven, the Siren's own spritual sphere, was not only supposed to keep the Siren alive a little longer but mainly to finally 'undock' soul from body to ensure it stayed intact - with the consequence of the Siren's physical death... There had been voices. Two different voices. Female voices. Familiar...she knew these women...but...what were their names again? And...what did they look like? Lucind tried hard to remember. Their names...their faces...no, nothing happened. No mental images were available. And yet...she was so sure she'd met them before. Ahh, this soft rushing and gurgling and buzzing in her ears made it difficult to think and listen to them. " What's wrong?" " I...can't reach her. ... Do you see this? There...this...aura. It's like a second 'psionic shell', but modified..." " Its shape and construction resembles a 'cocoon'...yet...something like this shouldn't be build up here where it's not necessary. - Hetel, she's already far too deep, we must stop her!" Swimming next to the helpless, naked form of Lucind the clanleader of the Varhetel's tried to get hold of the unconscious woman. For her it was no problem to see even on such a deep level of the lhor aven. She knew though that this region would only speed up the soul-separation process within Lucind. Hetel felt one bond after another tearing up. " Mildroa, now! The aura's fading. Seems the distance between her and that fire man and his item becomes larger." " But it's not completely gone...I'd really like to now wha---" A third Siren suddenly appeared next to them. She was from another clan and offered her help. Together they brought Lucind back to the surface after breaking this foreign mental shield. Lucind slowly opened her eyes. The scene felt strangely familiar when she looked up in Hetel's face, her head bedded in the clanleader's lap. She opened her mouth...only to realize she didn't know what to say. Is this real, Lucind thought, or am I just dreaming...this happened before...when...when..." Just sleep, dear. Sleep. Everything will be fine when you wake up." This felt good, closing her eyes. There was a hand on her head, gently carressing and stroking. Before the Half-Siren drifted back into oblivion she heard both voices again, only muffled though. " ...repair-mode...normal. Yet...quite some damage...messed up." " We have to wait...amnesia...temporary. There's still....get memories back..." " ...structures completely destroyed?" " Don't.... She's strong." ... Even if Lucind was reanimated and her cycle stabilized, Lucind wouldn't wake up for three, four days - she was in an artificial coma, induced to give body and soul some rest and time to recover.

((Assumptions: Lucind's with the Sirens, Josh is with the Order.)) Quote: Pupils dilated, even as his body slumped back down onto the bed. His heart rate managed to drop back down to normal levels, even as his eyes closed over once more. As the helicopter lifted Vahn away, Yaits eyed the medical waist container that had been under the bed. "Is that all from the boy?" Yaits asked. "Yes, sir," said one of the doctors. "Have it put in cold storage to prevent further deterioration," Yaits said quietly, "I went it sent to our labs, we may find something that'll help us treat his condition.""About the other ones we found with him, a male in the surgery unit, probably Joseph Brown of Alpha through Epsilon," the doctor said, "His condition is rather strange, but he appears stable. There was an unknown girl as well, her heart ceased functioning quite a few times, but we were able to reestablish rythm and get her back on track." "Let me see them," Joseph Brown "Mmmm.... mmmm.... For example, threading wounds together. Advanced healing he never knew he had. This was an interesting day. "You makes... makes... The bomb..." At least he was resting peacfuly. "It seems he thinks I'm a superbomberman!" Yaits laughed. Yaits ordered blood samples taken, carefully, so as to prevent any of the staff from being burned, and sent immediatly back for lab work at the Yaits Medical laboratories. "Also," Yaits said, "Have a company representative here immediately, I want to secure his help for the rebuilding effort."Yes, Yaits knew who he was, and was rather surprised to find him here. Lucind Both her palms were nothing but an area of melted flesh and the fang's handle had left visible imprints. Several lighter burns could be found all over her body which was barely covered with the shredded remnants of her clothes... Yet another interesting find, Yarneth thought, are there no end to the surprises to be found in a single place? If this keeps up, it won't be long before the Final Conflagration. I sense the blood of a siren, diluted, but still, this one might be usefull. "She's extremely wounded," Yaits said, "Have her airlifted to the hospital in Yaits city. I want her in the same unit as the boy she was found with, no less than adjoining rooms. Standard procedure, I want double bloodwork on this one, make sure a sample is sent to our labs."They would stay a little while longer, until Yaits was sure Joseph's bloodwork, the half-siren girl, the bloodwork and the medical waist was in good hands. All would be flown back to Yaits city, top priority. Joseph was healing rather well, and would be transfered to the Latent hospital as soon as there was room. Soon it was time for the convoy to go, a speech was to be given tommorow, but as interesting as this was, he couldn't afford to dwell on one place for too long. There would be a fond fare well from those healed who had not already dispersed. He found Jasmine on the way out, "You, beautiful, are coming with me. We'll sort out the details of your new employment on the go."He would open the back door of the Ford Explorer for her before joining her from the other side. "Let's talk,"he said with a pleasant smile, "I'm a strong believer in keeping one's friends close."

She nodded, her smile never revealing a thing behind its mask. She had already been trained in how to deal with situations such as this- be pleasant, be amicable, but reveal nothing. Radiate peace and calm- neither joy, nor pain, nor anger was to show during a mission.
Sure, they could be demonstrated outside of the objectives, but while she was on duty, especially seeing as she was about to directly infiltrate the Yaits Corp. itself without much of a fuss, they were a liability.
"Understood sir," she said without hesitation, getting into the Explorer with a nod of recognition for his deed.
I sure as hell hope everyone else is this fortunate... Captain Damien, please be safe.
