"Yes indeed, she would! She takes her job much too seriously," Kushina said with a smile as she led them down the corridor, and then behind a statue, somehow opening up the wall.
"This'll take us quickly down to the ground, and Neith won't be lurking in these corridors right now." Smirking, Kushina led them down corridors and stairs, narrow but dry and dust-free, with lancets of light falling in through the wall at various points, indicating an exit.
When they left the hidden/extra servant corridors, they were only steps away from a side door that took them out into the brightly lit yard, and from there it was even less to take them over to the training grounds.
"So, my lady," Kushina smiled teasingly as she bowed. "Choose a weapon, and we'll have a dance." Kushina waved her hand and then used the same hand to summon her sword, broad and almost as tall as she was, out of the nothing where it was stored.
She woke with a jerk, and at first wondered why. And then she, far away, recognized the precense of a disguised youkai. Snarling softly, Empress left her bed, much. too. ******** (she'd flay whoever it was alive!). early. and dressed. This disturbed her whole plan for today, the most notable being that she'd thought to peek in on Ana.
Unfortunately, as it was, another youkai could recognize her as a youkai, and could alert the vermin crawling all over the castle to her little suberfuge. Therefore, it was better to at least flip the planned events of today and get into town with her secret hoard first. Grinning, sharp canines startling for the moment they were visible, Empress grabbed the bag her treasures were in and left the room, quickly getting outside and spotting the Queen-to-be and the blue-haired loudmouth disappearing into the training grounds before she left the castle proper.

Riiight, and then it was juuust to find your way around here. Although, no one could really blame her for not taking the right turn or corridor yet, she was after all still new here. Walking down a corridor she sniffed the air lightly. Ok, that smelt like food... And then an evillittle idea suddenly formed in her head. Okay, not reeeeally evil, per say, but... OOh! You could be curious, couldn't you? Especially if it was about your future husband. The grin that momentarily settled upon her lips was not a little bit like a cheshire cat.
Calmly strolling into the kitchen with a grace and stealth that almost made her melt in, the young dragon walked up to the head maid who stood with her back still to her and instructing some maid on something.
"Neith," she said suddenly, speaking up loud and clear to make sure to be heard over the slight din. Now let's see how good her sense were. Would theolder dragon be surprised or...

Neith's eyes widened and she turned about quickly. "Micoi! Honey, what are you doing here?" She asked, momentarily forgetting about the girl she was instructing (the maid stood where she was nervously, not certain if she had been dismissed or not). "I thought you would have gone out to spar again."

The young woman was quiet for a second then grinned at the other. "I am," she replied, "I only felt like grabbing an apple or something before heading out there." Then she titled her head a bit and her grin transformed into an innocent smile, making you feel like she wasn't just as innocent as she was pretending. "Buuut I also wanted to ask you a question. It hit me late last night, you see, and I couldn't get it out of my head."

"What is it?" Neith turned back briefly to the waiting maid. "Well? Didn't you hear what I told you? Go!" As the young woman scampered off, Neith laid a hand lightly on Micoi's wrist. "Well, honey?"

Touchy feely. They're really much for physical contact, aren't they? she questioned silently. Must be something of theirs, she decided. "Well, I just wanted to know... is Jett any good in bed?" The question was straightforward and crystal clear. Oh my. Perhaps she should have been a little... gentler with how she put it? A slight blush? Although it was too late now so no use wondering. Plus, that wasn't her style really.

Neith stared at Micoi, momentarily speechless. That passed quickly and her eyes narrowed as she looked closely at the Queen-to-be. "What did you...? We just..." She was still a bit shocked. True, Micoi was straight-forward when it came to things like this, but this still seemed a bit over the top for her. Or maybe not. After all, it did sound like the sort of thing she might ask... Neith gave a very slight shake of her head and took a step closer.
"Where did this come from?" She asked suspiciously. Micoi had not been expressing the slightest interest in Jett... her Youkai lover, certainly, and perhaps even a couple of the Dragon Fighters, but she had been very adamant that all she wanted to do was "get the deed over and done with" and leave for Arinas once more. If it was to be a one-time act, and if she had already been assured that Neith at least would not greatly care if Kanak "visited" occasionally, why did it matter how skilled the Dragon Lord was?

The girl just smiled at Neith's narrowed eyes. "Well," the young dragon began matter-of-factly, "I just wanted to know," here her smiling face turned into a "you can't fool me so don't even try it" expression, "because you seriously cannot make me believe that he has not been with anyone before this. I mean, come on, he's my age times two plus some more. So spill." The seriousness of the young dragon's visage was either so earnest that it was frightening in its intensity or just plain cute and amusing, all things and the question considered.
Could you consider this some kind of "verification of the purity of the bride" in reverse? And perhaps in a perverted reverse way at that?
Then she suddenly smiled brightly, the change in expression so sudden that it was startling. "Plus, I just wanted to know." And then it was back to the "no nonsense, you can't fool me and I'll see right through any of your lies" face.

"I've never slept with Lord Jett," Neith said firmly, taking a step back and giving a warning glance around the kitchen in case any of the maids were attempting to listen in to this conversation. "Quite frankly, he is not my type and as I've known him from his birth, I would not be comfortable in that sort of relationship."
She stared levelly back at Micoi, the nagging feeling that something was off still making her cautious and her tone a bit cool. "And I would prefer to have this conversation with you later, my Lady, if you are still interested then."

"There's not anyone else who would know?" she asked, the pouting face and titled head that seemed to border on open disappointement and confusion at having been mistaken in her asumption was really rather cute. She must not be used to being mistaken. But then her face brightened in a smile. "Sure, later, or whenever you have time."

"I'm sorry," Neith gave a slight smile. "But I really do not know. Furthermore, I'm a bit busy at the moment. We can talk later tonight, but," a semi-wicked glint flickered in her eyes, "perhaps if you talk to him yourself you will be able to find out."

"Really?" the girl shone up, first in surprise and then a smile followed. "Weeeell, I was on my way there anyway... to try and talk... civily, with him." Boy, wouldn't that be kind of the first time since the arrival, she thought sarcastically, though it didn't show. "Well, I'll leave you to your job then..." the queen-to-be said with a wave of her hand as she turned and headed towards the entrance she had come through but stopped for a second as she passed a fruit bowl and snatched up an apple before heading out.

"...open, I am giving the position to Baran, one of the Dragon Fighters. He has been working for us for several years now and was one of those who accompanied you and the others to Arinas. He has displayed some degree of magical sensitivity before and I believe it may be able to be developed further." She glanced up at the clock above Lord Jett's desk, feeling momentarily as though she was back in classes as a child, not giving an official report to the Dragon Lord. "He is currently recieving training from Illusia and I will have a new uniform and official change in his title readied later today."

"Very good, Akieth," Jett nodded. He felt so off, so drained. At least now the truth was out, though it didn't really make him feel much better. Mundane things helped more, like his conversation with Akieth.
Jett was ditracted from his thoughts by a knock on the door.

The door opened to reveal the queen-to-be and Jett's finacé. Giving the two dragons a small smile, more as a greeting, and a wave of the hand, she entered the room. "Hi, I just came around to ask a question," she said in her normally cheerful tone. Was she perhaps making an effort to sound as if they had never had a fight(s) or did those incidents just not bother her anymore?
