KT was around only during my time as a house-elf. sad It'd be nice if she came back, maybe you're bugging'll convince her razz but a hacked account would certianly cause someone to leave Gaia, busy rl nonwithstanding. xp
The snitch-a-week idea sounds good, but there's that pesky activity problem...
@Red- The Chocolate Frogs thing is an interesting idea, but like Icee think its drain of overstretched resources. On the other hand, it sounds like you'd be willing to do everything yourself which would be awesome but maybe unfair to you? I guess its up to you in the end. It certainly would be nice, I never even knew Pinkie or Shorty and barely remember KT. sweatdrop Good thing Icee's still around. *huggles her* heart

Viva-Tell KT I said Hi too. I was here back when the guild was first starting up though I was only a House-elf at the time and didn't rp but I gotta out of that fast once I meet friends here. I tried messaging her a bunch of times to her e-mail and Pm when I got back onto Gaia after leaving for a while of being sick. When I asked about KT no one knew anything. Long story shot, we miss her.
As for a county, well there are many to pick from but if you look in hp lexicon you can see a list of all the teams and what countries they are in and etc.
I will definitely tell her you said hi, and Icee, she says hi back to you and everyone at HPGoG! I think I've got her convinced for coming and being a spectator at the World Cup, but she said she'll have to do it as Hope-Maxime. I told her about the Cup, and how you guys are running it and she was really excited.
I can't believe I didn't even think of looking at the lexicon! I haven't read Quidditch through the ages (though I probably will do that soon) so I had no idea about all the teams and stuff JK has laid out... looking at that stuff though... I think Peru would be a good candidate... cause they're supposed to be better than Brazil and Argentina. biggrin We could have a game where Peru is vying to be the first ever national team from South America to win... very exciting xd

I feel like one of the teams should be a South American team, like Brazil or Argentina...
But then maybe, just because I love the name and the accent that goes with it, Croatia.....
Of course if we're feeling silly, we could go with Azerbaijan, cause it's fun to say.... wink
But then part of me wants to vote Ireland, but that's just because I'm part Irish...so forget that... haha.
what are the colors for all the teams? we can do Ireland... that's got my vote since we did Romania and Belgium last year. @Tina you're not interested in doing the trivia for Chasers? Snitches: it doesn't matter how many are released... whether or not they're found shouldn't be a concern. the concern should be the points. for instance, if we keep the points at 50 per snitch and one team finds them all that's 200 points. are we going to keep the points like that? I haven't read Quidditch thing either lol. Anyway, since Ireland is a shoo-in, is your choice Brazil or Argentina? Remember we need to know the colors too. That plays a big part.

The colors for Peru are unknown so we can pick the colors we want. Ireland however has several teams and alot of different colors. Here is a link to the Teams of Ireland and Britain link You can pick and choose the teams and the robe colors are on there too. Also, there is a team that Peru was beaten by from Ireland so this could be like a redemption game.
Icee- I can't if I want to be a Chaser. I can't know the answers ahead of time.
Snitches- I honestly think it will depend on activity. We could change the rules but thing can already be overwhelming to anyone who's just about to play or participate so I don't know if changing the rules will help or hurt.

I was going to say I don't keep up with this place enough, but then I realized all the posts I hadn't seen before were made when I was on my trip without internet access, haha.
And I never got to meet KT, it would be really interesting to be able to do so, if she does come to be a spectator. Especially because she was Hufflepuff head for so long! C:
If we do Ireland, I think one of the best choices would be the Kenmare Kestrels - Their colours are emerald green and yellow.
And if we want to pick colours for Peru, its flag is mainly red and white - so those could be the colours. 3nodding

It kind of violates my personal rule of not putting red and green together unless it's Christmas....
Although... now that I've clicked preview... it's really not bad... and perhaps... with the other colors... I'll try it out just to see it...

I think Ireland is green and orange. I'm not sure about Peru, simply because we have to change the white to gray. Surely there's another South American country with colors that are better for posting?
I'm not really bothered about doing the side-contest Juni did for the snitches. I don't think it's needed. Tina: I may very well need some help coming up with clues. Juni's clues were very cryptic. I still don't understand most of them. Did you find the snitches based on the clues, or did you just search through all the threads until you found them?

Ah, the wonders of Google...
The Brazillian flag is green and yellow, which is obviously not an option.
Argentina and Uruguay are blue and white, which would the same problem as Peru's white and red.
Chile and Paraguay are both red, white, and blue.
Venezulea, Columbia, and Ecador are all yellow, blue, and red.
And lastly Bolivia is yellow, green, and red.
Perhaps green and gold for Ireland? It shows up slightly better than yellow and is more stereotypically Irish than orange.

No, I went by the clues. 1st one I found easily. Juni actually yelled at me to slow down lol. The second one was actually harder to find but once i got the clue then found a link i found the snitch.

We're not actually having quidditch team names...it's more like countries (so we'd go with flag colors). So it'd be Team Ireland vs Team Peru.
My only issue about Peru would be that we just used red last year with Team Belgium.... though it's really hard for me to say that because I love the contrast of red/gray. However, that's just my two cents and if no one else has a problem with re-using colors, than ignore his. [But as Lyra said it would mean changing a color completely]
But, to summarize: I think if we can we should come up with another country that doesn't have red as a main color in its flag....but that may prove difficult.
I like Team Ireland if we use orange/green, but oh my gosh this is proving difficult xd .

3nodding I really like Ireland vs. Peru,
I like that it's plausible in an uber-nerdy sense.
And I love how utterly International the clash would be.
I think that their vast differences make for good contrasts and a lot of opportunity for diverse things to come up in role playing.
I think I. v P. has got my vote.
^and I really like the ring to that...
My next best suggestion would be to use Japan, but those are the same colors as Peru.

I don't think using red again should matter. There aren't a whole lot of colors to choose from, especially with flag color combinations. (And since we would also have to eliminate anything with blue as the main color.)
And I like Ireland vs. Peru too. And I don't particularly care if we use green/orange or green/gold. Both look fine to me.

Sheesh, why are there practically no flags with purple? The poor color. xp
I'm fine with the Ireland vs Peru as is...there's not much difference between orange and gold, so I guess go with orange cuz it's right there on the tab/choices/thing.
