Rille shrugged. "The w-weather's outside, and I'm in h-here, so I w-wouldn't know. A-as for a history..." She trailed off, wondering where to begin. Ananda picked up smoothly, as though they had planned it that way. "The two of us grew up together. Rille's dad, my uncle, dumped her on us when she was a baby, and didn't come back for her until she was five." She looked at Rille, wondering how much of the story she should tell. Rille took a deep breath, and continued the story slowly. "My m-mom died. When I was b-born. My d-dad couldn't handle it, so he left. When he came back for m-me, he taught me to play flute, and s-sing. So I c-could work with him, at the Faires. Then, I c-came here." Ananda smiled encouragingly at her, noting the bit of her story she had left out, but not wanting to add anything to it. "Me, I had it pretty boring after Rille left. No traveling or friends or anything but training. I came here to get better." She conveniently left out the bit where she ran away from home, not even ready to think about that yet. She raised an eyebrow at Kenzi. "And you? Fair's fair."

Kenzi raised his brow and then laughed, he was laughing at "Fair's fair" "Even in summary my history is longer then that. I lived like a normal demon would in the living realm, until I found out that me and my brothers were Memory Wraiths and then my mother died. When that happened my Father began returning to his evil old self and combined me and my older brother Arcaine into the newest born brother Haru. I lived as a demon side to my younger brother until finally we found my sister and she had an amulet which split us. Finally I had my own body again...after that I lived in a fox den though I'd adapted to wolf demon heritage and actually did some malicious things to the foxes there. I left only to follow a member of the pack here, and so now I wish only to find a companion for during my stay here..." he said this and paused then added on a sort of commentary on that story, "By the way, that was just the summary of the summary and there's more if you want to hear it...just not right away please...I've told more than my share already..." he finished with that and resituated himself in his seat, glad he had not had to tell how his mother died, what his father did, or exactly what he had done in the fox den...

Akira walked into the dinning hall and whistled as he looked around. 'This place is huge!' he thought to himself. He looked at the walls which were lined with stained glass windows which just impressed him more. This really was his dream school. He began to flap his wings out of amazement but stopped when he realized he sending a breeze through the whole place.
He turned to Alice who was following him in. "So, what do you feel like having today?" he asked her, "I feel kind of like having a bowl of curry udon and maybe some gyoza."

Alice just smiled, then gave a light shrug. "Just a salad for me...a glass of water." It wasn't a diet, in fact it was hard for her to gain any weight even when she did eat fattening foods. She simply liked salads as simple, tasty meal.
"This place is amazing." She added then, pointing up to windows as they continued to walk. "What a school.."

"Yeah, it really is," he replied to her. As they walked up Akira saw the machine and told it what they were going to order.
"Hi, I'll have a bowl of curry udon and she'll have a salad and a cup of water," he said to the machine, "Um, I don't really have any money but," He cut himself off noticing the scanner on the counter. He took out his ID and swiped it through the slot. The machine began to beep and their orders appeared.
Akira grabbed both of the trays, one with each hand. "This meal is on me," he said beginning to fly towards a table next to one of the windows, "And don't even think of trying to pay me back."

Alice blushed softly at the gentleman-like gestures. She nodded to him as he flew over to a table, following gradually along. She took her seat there, eyes still occasionally shifting around the room in amazement. She gestured to his wings whenever he took his seat.
"I don't see people with wings too much...." She waited a while, then added. "Okay...ever..." A light chuckle showed her slight awkward mood on the situation - but her curiosity was overbearing.

He smiled a bit and then the smile slowly faded. "Well," he started off, "I've had these as long as I know. Truth be told I don't really know where I came from."
He took off his backpack and unwrapped his scroll. "My foster parents were archeologists," he continued, "They found me in a ruin with this scroll. They said it was some kind of angelic writing so they thought I might be an angel. But I think I'm more of a fallen angel, that's why my wings are black. I don't know why, but I'm kind of human too, so I can still die and all. Still, I have no idea where I came from, or how I got here."
Akira turned back to Alice with a nervous smile on his face and began to blush. "Well, you're probably bored of me talking," he said scratching the back of his head, "Let's eat!" He closed his eyes and muttered a prayer of grace under his breath. Not to anyone specific, just as a way of thanking whoever was out there who caused all of this to happen. After he was done, he broke his chopsticks and began to eat.
((See ya later Alice.))

Ananda nodded slowly. "I'm not sure what I said that was funny," she muttered softly. In a louder voice, she continued "Another time, then." And maybe by that point I'll be ready to face up to the dumb things I did that landed me here, and what they mean for anyone hanging around me. She reached down to take another bite of pancake, and discovered that sometime during Kenzi's tale she had finished. Instead, she picked up her untouched mug of coffee and drank deeply. It was at the perfect temperature, and she finished it in several gulps. Rille grinned, watching Ananda. Looks like she's recovered completely. I just have to remember to warn her...but that can wait until later, it doesn't look like she's going to use her power anytime soon. She stood up, picking up the dishes from the table and wandering off to get rid of them.

Kenzi heard these last moments of thought and then his unlinked connection to the minds of all the people in that particular room was cut off. He took a deep breat hwhen that happened and then looke around at the rest of the room instead of focusing on these two....it was a lot quieter but still not half as quiet as he had thought it would be. "Well, you two have a history together and I have nothing to do with you...so I suppose I'll leave if you want?" he said this just as Rille was leaving, notafter whe was gone, and though he did not quite see why she had picked everything up for everybody he did not bother to ask anymore of them for a little while. He was good at observing, not asking questions, if you ask too much at once then there is no fun in watching people. Kenzi had gotten on most of his fellow Den-mates' bad sides this way. He'd gotten the better of everyone in the den with his era of chaos...but up until then he had not done very much to affect the den aside from harassing it's den members...his one great achievement i guess you could say.

Ananda looked up at him over the rim of her coffee cup. Finishing her drink, she gave him a long stare. Hunh. He follows me here, then offers to leave? I don't get it. Makes no sense. Well...maybe. Frowning slightly, she thought for a moment before starting to talk. "If you want to leave...well neither of us'll try to make you stay. But if you want to stay, we won't force you to leave either. It's up to you, I guess." Rille, coming up behind her, nodded in agreement. Then, softly, she said "I'm going to l-leave, I think. I n-need to go practice, and I w-want to go before it g-gets crowded. But Ananda, I n-need to tell you...d-don't try to use y-your power for a while. 'Member what I said a-about toxins, b-before? W-well, I don't think your b-body's figured out what t-to do with them yet, they k-keep building up. P-please, go to the hospital l-later, and f-find out if something's wrong." Ananda nodded, to pacify Rille, and said "Okay, I'll try." Not happening. There's no way. I'm not doing it, and that's final.

Kenzi blinked a few times and then shrugged as he noticed that she had not really made a decision on what she was going to say before she answered him and now he watched her and Rille converse silently. How do you give someone choces when they are the one who asked in the first place? He ignored it as best as he could as he now waited for Rille to reply, quietly linking to her mind instead of Ananda's for who knows what reasons. He listened to this atalk about toxins and they were very unfamiliar to him, and as he finally linked to Rille's mind it was already time for her to reply again. He could not vry welllink to two minds at once without giving away that he was doing so, because they would begin to here each other's thoughts aswell. Hospitals never did any good...at least that was the way he saw it...the best they had done was to tell him he had a month to live when he'd come down with a disease that was weaker then the common cold when compared to demons. Had it really been necessary to go to the hospital if he knew that he was going to be fine in the first place? His worst memories came from that place...but because of this it only made him more tempted to visit this one. Ananda sounded lieke she was going to go, but if she wasn't really planning on it then he would plan on it for her...

((Oops, sorry, I had to leave unexpectedly.))
Rille folded her arms stubbornly. "I know you b-better than that. I'm n-not leaving until you p-promise. Nan, p-please. I'm worried." I know she's stubborn, but I can be just as bad. I just hope they can do something about it there, 'cause I know I don't know enough to help her. I'm not letting this one go. She planted her feet, moving her hands to rest on her hips. Ananda scowled darkly. I always forget she can see though me like that. Damn. And she knows I won't go back on a promise. "Alright. Alright. I give. I promise I'll go to the hospital." "To t-talk to someone about what I t-told you? Not just t-to visit Tchai?" Rille raised an eyebrow at her, tapping one foot impatiently. "Good grief. Are you my cousin, or my mother?" Ananda groaned. "I'll talk to someone there. But Rille, I swear there's nothing wrong with me. I feel fine." Rille gave her a relieved smile. "I know you do. But that doesn't keep me from worrying." She turned to walk away, then turned back and hugged Ananda fiercely before leaving the dining hall. Ananda turned to look at Kenzi. "So, what'll it be? I need another cup of coffee before I can face the hospital. Going, or staying?"

Kenzi listened intently to Rille's thoughts as they finished their arguement about the hospital...it appeared as if he would not have to force her to go, though her dislike of hospitals was evident already and that was all he wanted to know. This was a good thing that she disliked them just as much as he did. He had watched them hug and flinched a little as that happened, confused in his re-gathering of himself as he heard her speak to him. OF course he was going to follow. "Until I find something ebetter to do, I will follow you wherever you go...so even if it be the hospital I will be right behind you..." he said it seriously, his tone finally changed to the way he liked it, either serious or smart-a**...that was his preference on tone of voice. It gave people a very odd idea of what kind of person he was as they looked at him from these different perspectives. This girl was interesting enough for him to care already, so he was glad-as opposed to not caring at all.

Ananda stood slowly. "So be it, then. But I was serious about needing that second cup of coffee first." She walked back towards the food machine, using the time it took to collect herself. Sounds like he's about as fond of hospitals as I am. Oh god. I'm sure there's a loophole there somewhere. What exactly did I promise? That I would go to the hospital...and that I would talk to someone about the glitch with my power. But...I never said I would talk to someone at the hospital about it. Oh, that's no good. She'll just give me that 'spirit of the promise' speech. Like always. She's gotten better at this since we were kids, I don't see a way out of this one. She sighed heavily, ordered her coffee and walked back towards the table, still thinking, but along a different path now. I should tell him, soon. On the one hands there's no way he'll be back fo awhile, since he got beaten yesterday. But on the other hand when he does come back, he'll bring all five of...them...with him. But...no, that'd be too many hands. I'll just have to tell him, now that Rille's gone.

The entire time that she had been gone to get her coffee he had sat quietly in his seat. He was a perfectly good actor, but sometimes this was a bad thing and thus he could not very well do without revealing his true personality to people within the first few meetings...this was technically the first time he met up with her...if it went on for long enough his true personality would be revealed in as gradual a way as possible...since he was alreaedy beginning to reveal it that seemed self evident. He waited for her to return before creating a link with her mind, because he had ntot used his powers in a while and had then decided that he ought to use them as much as possible. The only part of her thoughts that he heard was 'gone' though, so nothing as revealed to him that had to do with her intentions as she returned. As she did begin to return he fidgetted so that hw was turned directly toward her the whole time, ready to stand if leaving right away was at all her intention.
