The central eastern section of Texas is - in my opinion - the most desolate part of it. Though it starts to kind of even out as it gets closer to the edge. The gulf coast is pretty well off...
Note that I've only been to Texas a few times.
I like my state. I've avoided all of the super-hick areas and the desolate wastelands. Then again - my state does not really have any desolation. There is pretty much a house around you at all times or a buisness.
I saw a Mcdonalds in the middle of a ******** wheat field - I kid you not. At least I think it was wheat - not like I farm.

It's funny how my situation differs... I live in an area that's heavily populated and is filled with people from the ghetto, people who think they're from the ghetto but live in a gated community, hyper-radical free thinkers who basically oppose something just because everyone else is supporting it (as in if you ask them why they oppose it they try to change the subject), and... top-heavy... airheads that you'd swear would fall over in a light breeze.
*goes back to opposing the man while wearing his hat sideways and taking hisnon-existantbubbly girlfriend to a restauraunt that supports whatever ludicrous diet happens to be popular at the moment*
On another note, why does the villain always say "we'll meet again" just as he escaped even after he's supposedly sealed the hero's fate? I mean, it's like he knows his plan is going to fail....

because deep down inside, the villain knows the only one who could ever oppose him is the hero.
so he relishes the thought of battle while secure in the fact that no matter what he will win.
unfortunately thats when all vilalins get ******** up the a** and fall apart.

Did Elevar call Nebraska antartica? Damn, then I wonder what hell I'm in up in South Dakota.
Also, it's a very simple reason for why the villian says that. After the hero is dead he'll personally take care of the body disposal.
