(Well had I not decided to let Luin ignore you...he may have tried to kill you in staying true to his character. sweatdrop Anyway I'm off to class, I'll post when I get back tonight.)

((DOES NO ONE IN THE RP HAVE ANY FAITH IN SIN'S FIGHTING SKILLS? gonk ))

((Uhh hey I had to deal with it too, when Khastur was godhand I was really trying to convey he had gone like, super saiyan or some s**t-- everyone liked to ignore it ^_^; ))
((Yeah and besides I knovv just as much as the next person that the NPCs are povverful but thats doesn't stop me from vvanting to fight them...*and yes I have double vv's there... the double-u on my keyboard is all vvonky gonk DAMN FRICKKEN SCHOOL COMPUTERS))

(((I am not going to entertain this argument further, have some patience Jan the battle is about to begin and there will be more than enough fighting for you to involve yourself in. I may even give you a chance at dueling Darsha, and Khastur can be certain that he will have another run in with Adenia again. 3nodding
*And just so everyone knows, my sister somehow got a virus on my computer and it has basically died...so until I get that fixed and sorted out I will be relying on my parents rather slow computer and the computers at school.)))

As Luin departed there was suddenly a ear shattering shriek as a winged beast rushed over the forest at an incredible speed.
The rider and beast, identified easily as Adenia and her dragon, banked against the air currents and disappeared into the darkness of the sky, the dragon trumpeting one final bone shilling shriek as they disappeared upwards.
Though the appearance of Adenia and her dragon were only heralding the appearance of a far greater threat...

~~~~~~~~
Along a gentle slope that easily displayed the city of Baledon Sukiyo, a mere half a mile away, the dry hiss of weapons being drawn could be heard, for no sooner had Adenia made her entrance that the larovian forces decided to show themselves.
The low slope was soon populated by hundreds of cavalry, set to approach from the north. Thousands of foot soldiers soon came into ranks behind the lines of larovian cavalry cloaking the land in black, all color blotted out by the forms of the larovian soldiers.
Darsha Nevar then emerged from the lines of soldiers, a wicked blade held at his side as he surveyed the group. He did not agree on his brother's tatcis to send in this group in as simply a diversion...but he had little choice in the matter....
~~~~~~~

Just as Adenia and her dragon disappeared into the sky the forest suddenly became silent around Khastur and Issildia...all signs of life seeming to have disappeared as the area took on a darker tone.
Then a subtle sound could be heard in the distance, the sound of booted feet tramping through the forest and the collective brittle hiss of blades being drawn.

Issildia then knew that Luin Ryera had not been fabricating his information in the least...

As the Dragon's screeches sounded throughout the area of the Keep, Kurhoa had been deeply engaged in battle with Dagaal Dhimasho, the Horseman of War. As their blades clashed, sparks of heat and light leaped from their metals, illuminating the darkness in which they fought. They found themselves evenly matched for quite sometime, as they both landed and began to run alongside one another. Their gaze never leaving one another, as they reached the walls of the Keep, they leapt into the air, landed atop the Eastern border, their blades clashing once more, triggerring an explosion of flame as they now engaged in a test of force.

What is it you fight for comrade?

That is none of your concern.

You serve a man who has been marked by death. He is condemned, yet you stil follow his every order without question. Your purpose is meaningless.

My motives are not associated with Akurei in the slightest. Let him rot for all I care. Our goals are far more complex than even you could imagine.

We shall see. twisted

As Kuroha pushed away from Dagaal, he backflipped off of the wall, and entered the city. Dagaal instinctively, followed him into the depths of the keep. They both had their own reasons behind their actions, but whether or not their golas congflicted with one another, was still a mystery.

(Alright I am back for the moment. I just got Guild Wars so I've been at that for the last day and a half lol. But anyway I'm back for a bit.)

~
As Issildia spotted the first of many larovian soldiers to come, she shrank back a matter of steps to remain out of range to be sighted by the larovians.
Running over their options quickly, Issildia choose to commit to the only action that she could conceive that had a chance at arresting the progress of the larovian hoard.

At her feet there was a faint spark of blue toned light that immediately transformed into a line of flame that raced outwards to the left and the right, setting alight the dry brush that surrounded the area. As cries of alarm sounded from the larovians, the line of blue hued flames flared higher to form a frail wall between the larovians and their targets. But as every moment passed the fire spread, and soon the forest was filled with the acrid scent of smoke.

"We can try and hold them off here for the moment...but should they break through we will be easily outnumbered..." She smirked slightly as she sensed her father's aura off in the distance at the back of the larovian forces. Glancing at Khastur she spoke, "Gurth goth rim lye"

As she concluded this statement the dark blue fire roared higher, the larovians now charging directly at their position, ignoring the wounds they sustained as they bolted through the flames that Issildia had conjured.

Upon the first soldier reaching their position Issildia's blade darted upwards, delivering a vertical strike to the soldier's torso and sending him to the ground.
Shouts then filled the air as the entire battalion became aware of the situation and immediately advanced towards Issildia and Khastur; battling their way through the fire that barred their path, in order to do their lord's bidding.

( "Gurth goth rim lye"= "Death to our foes")

To the Southeast of the Keep, Nahota was deeply engaged in battle with Akurei's horsmeman of Pestilence....Atrista. They were drawn in a number of hand to hand techniques, and the two of them deliverring blow after blow to one another. They both seemed to be enjoying the battle far more than they should have, and had yet to draw their weapons. In a flash of a motion, and with a large crash, Atrista found herself pinned to the wall of the keep, her hands clasped with Nahota's as he applied more pressure, driving her deeper into the stone structure.

No scythe Atrista? I'm disappointed.

The scythe was not mine to begin with. You of all people should know this.

Then tell me, why have you chosen to fight with Akurei. If our goals are the same, why do you stand against us? We all serve the cycle, and yet you four choose to rebel against that which employs you. How foolish of you.

We serve the cycle, indeed...but we serve Master Meridious as always. He requires your deaths, and we shall deliver them.

You insignificant fool! It is not our deaths that the Cycle is after. It is HIS!!!

I will not listen to your LIES!!!

Atrista suddenly pushed off of the wall, providing some distance between the two of them. Utilizingher flexibility to the fullest, she leaned forward, and raised her left leg, bending it at the knee, and bringing farward hard impacting with Nahota's forehead, causing him to release his grip on her. As he stumbled back a bit, regaining his composure, she drew a gruesome bow from her back and took aim. Nahota slowly reached behind him and took hold of his scythe, as he stared at her, his eyes began to glow a deep indigo. His growling could be clearly heard as the flashes of lightning began to over take the area. As the two of them stared back at one another, the the whip of a cord, followed by the release of an arrow triggered the end of their stalemate, as Nahota drew his scythe and deflected the arrow. Before she could ready another, he charged foward, the tip end of the scythe low, but he would be sure not to miss his target...he would either convert her, or kill her...the outcome would surely effect all players involved in the game fate has layed out.

Within the confines of the keep, Akilah could hear the presence of someone hurrying up the stairs that lead to Azure's chamber. Her arrows had begun to glow a deep crimson as she awaited his emergence, and just as she thought her grip would slip, almost out of instinct, she released her arrows, just as he emerged from the staircase. They seemed to screech through the air in their travel as they headed toward their target. Should they not meet their mark, the death the intruder would sffer at her hands was sure to be one that haunted him in the next life.

As soon as Sin rounded the corner he noticed several things. One was that someone was waiting for him inside the chamber that the stairs led to. second that the same person he noticed had already released several arrows right towards his body. The third and final thing was that the said arrows were not only on fire but also screeching towards him just as quickly as a moment ago when he rounded the corner.

Without a word Sin dived forwards, up the remaining stairs. Sin's first step into the room was onto a large rug on the floor. Putting his weight into the step he felt it give way below him and slide forwards. This imbalance cause him to drop downwards and underneath two of the three arrows aimed at him. This left him facing the last one as it was only scant inches from his face. Whipping back his head he felt the heat from the arrow first near his chin and then suddenly the arrow began to cut along his face, the fire from the arrow burning him lightly as the shot passed, and grazed his hair making a few strands flare up quickly and then die out.

Slamming down on his back he brought a hand up to his face and began to feel the blood start to trickle down the wound. It wasn't serious but the blood would most likely get into his eye soon and partially blind him. He couldn't cauterize the wound either due to the nearness of the eyes again. Still holding his hand to his eye he sat up quickly and looked over at who fired the arrow.

"Flaming arrows.... multiple shots.... extremely accurate.... shouldn't you be one of those people, downstairs fighting that war or something....."

Akilah almost dropped her guard as her arrows ricocheted off of the wall heading down the staircase, obviously missing their target. A light rumble was felt at the sarkness of the staircase was illuminated briefly. There had been an explosion within the keep, but it was unknown as to what caused it. As she studdied the man who confronted her, she noticed he was holding the area above his eye. Almost dropping her guard as she realized this was not the man she had expected, she held her weapon at the hilt, both blades exteded outward as she took up a fighting stance, seemingly preparing to strike as she interrogated him. The look in her eyes reflected both an unshakable determination, and a curious fear.

That's not...Identify yourself, stranger. I'd feel much better if I knew the name of my adversary.

~~~~~~~Meanwhile, outside the Keep.....~~~~~~~
Azure was locked in battle with Dayax. Her normally passive nature was contradicted by her ferocity in battle. Few have seen her prowess on the battle field and lived to tell about it. Her beauty, and her innocence were a complete contradiction of her skill with the Naginata. As she locked blades with Azure, she could feel the presence of the Fourth, Yige drawing nearer to their position. It was obvious that she did not wish to fight with him, but she was not one to disobey orders.
This is pointless Dayax. You and I both know the result of this battle. Even now, I'm certain you can feel it as well.
Do not assume to know me, Azure. There is far more at stake here than even you know.
You still do not understand. He said as he pushed away from her. Or is it that you refuse to see the truth?
You may be the keeper of Origin, but you do not know as much as you believe. Something so obvious has even eluded your vision. Why do you think we follow Yige so? It is not because we fear him, no. He is one of which who were chosen by the Fates. The three of us may be puppets, but we have accepted our fates. That is FAR more than I can say for the three of you!
Dayax suddenly charged at Azure once again, swinging her blade at his waist. However, just like a common fighter, her blade met ohly air. Azure on the other hand, did not attepted to avoid the blade. In fact, it seemed to pass right through his very body. It became obvious at this point that Dayx had been fighting his shadow the whole time.
You speak to me of the obvious? You cannot tell the difference between a shadow and the being it clones. You have much to learn Dayax.
Once she realized he was only a shadow, Dayax banished her weapon, and summoned a rather peculiar scale. It was not a normal two way scale, no. It rather had three cups, and each of them possessed a small figurine. One of Reinsen, one of Akurei, and one of Azure. Azure's figurine seemed the heaviest, as she held it out in front of her. It seemed to be monitoring the tide of the battle, and it seemed that it was not in Azure's favor.
Your time draws near Azure of the Cold Fire. You and your brothers will perish this day...and become one with the cycle as you were before.
Sin's eyes narrowed as the girl began to question him. After a few moments a small grin found it's way into his face and he stood up and watched her with his good eye.
"Well... Short of that lucky attack that you got on me I don't think I have to worry too much about you..."
Standing up to his full height he kept his eye on her and listened for a moment to the battle going on outside. Random explosions and various sources of power could be felt all around the castle but none seemed to be immediately threatening him and the girl facing him.
"Well... avoiding the whole 'I asked you first...' thing I guess I really should give my name out to the lady who just tried to shoot me full of arrows."
His voice was heavy with sarcasm as Sin faced off with her. Pulling his hand away he glanced quickly at a mirror to the side of the room and grimaced, an act causing him quite a bit of pain, and sighed.
"so much blood... good thing the wound is light otherwise I'd be pissed.... heh if I’m lucky I might get a cool looking scar."
~The thundering crescendo of the larovian calvary and foot soldiers spilling over the edge of the rise that led down towards Baledon Sukiyo soon filled their air. The larovians mounting a charge towards the city, their force numbering in the thousands with Darsha Nevar leading them at the forefront; they broke upon the walls of the city like a river upon stone, held at bay for the moment. But without hesitation fire tipped arrows leapt from the larovian masses that cloaked the land, and arched high into the air to only plummet down towards the city.
Chains and ropes adorned with barbed hooks were launched into the air to take hold of the walls enabling the soldiers to climb the city walls with ease.
Though as the first wave of armed soldiers began to make their way up the walls; the forest to the south, opposite of them suddenly erupted in flickering tresses of fire and ash. The surprised shouts of the second force that was to attack from the south, alerting the northern force to the fact that their plans had been interrupted to an extent.
But soon the remnants of the soldiers that had not been caught in the fire had managed to continue through the inferno towards their objective.
There were only a few hundred pf the original host that remained of the group that Issildia and Khastur had ambushed in the forest...but that was still a few hundred to many, Issildia thought grimly to herself as she used the dark mottled light of the forest to slip into a circle of larovians that had formed together within the chaos to attempt to ensure their survival. The circle of soldiers all faced outwards, their backs now turned to the immediate threat that was closer that they would have imagined.
The bitter cry of one of the larovians releasing his dying breath alerted the others to her presence as Issildia quickly withdrew her blade from the soldier's back.
She spared not a moment or word for them as the group leapt into action to defend themselves.
PostPosted: Tue Sep 19, 2006 11:24 am
From all around Issildia a sudden chill wind blew with a ferocity that howled like wolf in the night. As the soldiers charged her the wind blew low to the ground and suddenly shards of crystal ice burst out of the ground and skewered many of the soldiers before they could even get close to Issildia. The others stopped in their tracks and began to back away from the blood soaked blades of ice only to be stabbed in the back by another set of ice shards that attacked from outside their circle.
The ice formed a barrier around Issildia that chilled all around her and the area outside or it. It moved to neither attack her nor harm her yet it kept her inside and the larovian soldiers out. The fire that Issildia had started seemed to lap at the edges of the ice but it neither melted or cracked under the heat. From behind her Grievous walked forwards and through the ice itself. As soon as it would touch him it seemed to turn into soft snow that was brushed aside as he passed through and quickly reform behind him once he was through. Moving behind Issildia, outside of sword range, he stopped and stared at the Nevar.
"Where is Sin?"
His voice was cold and every breath came out as a puff of cold mist. Grevious's eyes had become a dark ice blue color and it seemed like his hair had frozen as spikes on his head. His shoulders, arms and legs all had what appeared to be ice guards on them and his chest emitted a faint blue aura that seemed to pulse with his heart beat.
"And don't you have someone you should be killing for us?"
As the battle errupted within the Keep, Akilah sunk into a stance that obviously screamed, Attack, however, before she could launch her assault, the tignle of cold flesh halted her movements as it genlty rested on her shoulder. When she turned, her eyes were met with the cold stare of Yige Yingzi, the Horseman of Death. Her eyes widened suddenly as she released the hold on her weapon. She was blue in the face from pure shock as she suddenly came to realize, that his touch had paralyzed her completely. She was even unable to speak as he walked out of the Chamber and toward the man whom she was preparing to battle.
"So it is a Pawn of this game whom has captuered the queen. Azure is getting lazy." stare He said grimly as he lifted her into his arms. "You....I mus thank you for your efforts, whether they were intentional or not, however, she comes with me.
Yige's body had suddenely faded from sight, as the chamber erupted with flames as several of the Larovians' flaming arrows found a home in Azure's chamber. The woman had disapppeared with Yige, as the door of the terrace opened slowly. It was there that the keeper of Baledon Sukiyo had emerged. Azure had obviously overheard what had transpired, but this new intruder, he recognized from before, when he faced off against Issildia. Jumping to no conclusion, he slowly drew his blade Dark Sentinel, and held it in an underhanded position. He stiood normally, as he calmly walked toward the intruder, the hilt of the blade pointing to the ground and the blade itself resting along the length of Azure's arm.
"So, you have returned for what reason? You aid Reinsen Nevear in laying seige to my Keep? Or have you come to end my life instead?"
"You must be the brother..." Issildia said darkly as she surveyed Grevious with a disdainful expression. "Another servant of my father's I presume..." she added in a dry manner.
Her gaze remained even with Grevious's own as she held her blade off to the side in a manner that with neither a threat nor an active attempt to engage in combat. There was much she wished to know, concerning Sin's past and background and she assumed well enough that the brother he had mentioned...the one standing before her now could have the answers she sought.
"What do you want with Sin?" She inquired bluntly.
"Hmph... He is my brother, and that should be reason enough that I'd want to find him.... and it seems that those presumptions of yours could just as easily lead you off a cliff as show you the way out.... I am neither your father's servant nor is Sin truly working with you.... We're just players in this little game of yours until you both kill each other... once that is done we have no ties to any of this slaughter..."
Slowly Grevious began walking around the edges of the ice cage he had made and smiled coldly at Issildia.
"But talking isn't doing, you need to find and kill your father.... and I need to find, and kick the a** of, my brother for being the moron that he is.... right now I suggest we help out each other...."
