"Alright. Now let's see if this works." Randall said, his entire being focused on the piloting at hand. He opened his mind up to the force, using any Force-based inspiration to assist in his evasive maneuvers, weaving in and out out of turbolaser fire coming from the gun-boats.
Piloting with all of the skill he could muster, Randall managed to avoid all of the shots that came his way but one, which slammed into the shields, rocking the ship.
The fighters far behind the Chaos had completed their turn and were now zooming towards the ship's unprotected rear, out of firing range, but beginning to close in. This is going to be close... Randall thought, as the Chaos' near-collision course brought them closer and closer to the approaching gunships. Gotta nail this...
As the Astral Chaos came dangerously close to the aft of the central frigate, Randall pulled on the controls with all his might, spiraling the Chaos down, around, and between the enemy gun-boats, flying upside-down, sideways, between the ships.
"All power to port and starboard shields, NOW!" Randall shouted, "And Brace yourselves! This is gonna hurt!"
The Astral Chaos coasted between the two larger ships, blasted from both sides by the Republic port and starboard laser cannons. The freighter was slim and moving pretty fast. A number of shots missed, hitting the gunboat on the other side, but a fair share of the laserfire hit its mark.
Randall kept his eyes on the ship's displays, watching the shield strength display. Shields were down to 88 percent... 82, 76, 64...
The pursuing fighters had almost caught up now, three of them going between the gun-boats after the Chaos, the remaining six shooting below, and circling around to attack from below. the three Aureks that followed the Astral Chaos between the ships opened fire, laser bolts glancing off of the ship's rear armor, one lucky shot severely damaging one of the port-side engines.
"Come on, come on..." Randall muttered, watching the shield display. 55 percent, now 40, then 25. Down to 17 percent, then five, then they were clear!
As the Chaos shot out behind the backs of the gunboats, Randall activated the bottom landing repulsor, bringing the ship from an upside-down orientation directly into a facing directly away from Coruscant, perpendicular to the Republic ships. "All power to main engines!" Randall called, sending the Astral Chaos upwards, blasting away from both Coruscant and it's gravitational influence, and the Hammerheads, which tried to maneuver themselves towards the Chaos again, rotating slowly in space.
The fighters that had been pursuing the Chaos through the ships shot out behind the frigates, overshooting the Chaos by kilometers. the remaining six that had gone underneath the ships flew up towards the Chaos, swerving to avoid the slowly-reorienting Hammerheads. The fighters began to catch up to the vastly-slowed light freighter, slamming the back and sides of the ship with blasterfire.
Randall kept his hands on the controls, keeping all power not designated to life support on the main thrusters, weaving back and forth to avoid some of the blasterfire. "C'mon..." He said, using the force to avoid as much of the fire as possible, trying to evade attacks before they could be fired.
The tense silence in the Chaos' cockpit was broken suddenly as Tee Nine beeped that they had gotten far enough from the planet's gravitational influence to make the jump into hyperspace. Randall heaved an enormous sigh of relief as he pulled the big lever on the control panel and the white dots that were stars in the viewport of the ship blended together into the white nether region of hyperspace.
"We made it." Randall said softly, slumping in his chair, the adrenaline gone, and with it the energy that the adrenaline rush had been providing. "I can't believe we kriffing made it."

Astral Chaos, Coruscant orbit to hyperspace
As Randal manipulated the control yoke of the Astral Chaos Melissa busied herself with her task of keeping the forwards shield strength up, even as the little freighter rocked from turbolaser fire. The starscape outside of the viewport was filled mostly by the huge bulk of the two gunships, the flashing of laser fire lighting up the cockpit. The view was replaced by the brightly lit city surface of Coruscant as the freighter spiraled on it axis. At Randalls command, she reallocated the shield power from the forward emitters to the laterals and feed them every ounce of power they could take and then some. But no mater how much power she feed to the generators the little ship it could only shrug off so much until it was overwhelmed from the two capital ships onslaught of laser fire. The pursuing Aureks had split into two groups attempt to cut the Astral chaos off as it neared the aft of the two cruisers, with one group of fighters tarring into the rear of the freighter. Red lights lit across her board as a blast riped into the port sub-light engine and Melissa shut in down and activated the fire suppression system. With the loss of power, the shield strength started to fall more quickly, forcing her to sap power from other ship systems. Her stomach tightened as Randall flipped the Astral Chaos and demanded all power to the engines, her fingers flying over buttons, pumping all power into the sub-light drives and the ship soared up and away from it’s pursuers.
Only a handful of Aureks were able to follow his maneuver, firing at the fleeing freighter for what seemed like an eternity. Finally, Tee-9 chirped and the green light signaled that the Astral Chaos was clear to make the jump to hyperspace. The long lines of starlight spiraled and merged into the milky blue-white tunnel of nothingness that was hyperspace.
“Haven’t had that much fun for a long time.” She laughed and slapped Randall on the back. “Damn good job flying there, thou we did take a few good hits.” She gave the red lights on her console a glance, unbuckled herself and stood “You might want to go talk to our passenger, Her names Saria and she says she wants to go to Lyra to see her sister Sarah. I’ll take T-9 and go look at that damaged engine.” She said over her shoulder as she left the bridge with the little droid in tow.

"Will do." Randall said. "And go ahead and call me if you need help. I just spend two hours fixing that engine too..."
Walking back from the cockpit to the common area, to greet their passenger, Randall stopped short when he saw the trademark robes of a Jedi. Pulling himself together, he stepped up to her and extended his hand.
"Saria, right? My name is Randall Dahn, and this is my ship. Pleased to meet you."

Saria stood up and shook Randall's hand. " Thank you, Randall. I'm sorry I had to come along at the last minute like that, but I figured Melissa had a ship and hoped to catch a ride to Lyra. Again, thank you for letting me tag along. "
She paused for a moment, looking at him. " You weren't hurt in that fight earlier were you? I'm a healer, and I'm more than happy to help if you need it. "

"What fight?" Randall asked, before he realized what Saria was talking about. She must be talking about that thing with Nilar, he thought, rubbing his still-sore nose with his left hand. "Oh. That fight. Nah, I'm fine, just got a little banged up. In all this excitement, I completely forgot about it."
Letting go of Saria's hand and stepping back, Randall gestured towards the third bunk room in the Astral Chaos. "We've got quarters for you while we're in hyperspace, if you need to lie down or anything. I'll have Tee Nine set coordinates to Lyra as soon as we get back into real space. Is there anything else you need?"

" I should be fine with that. " Saria said. " If you don't mind me asking though, how did you and Melissa get together? Until I saw her at the temple, I had assumed she was still in exile.

"She was." Randall said. "I met her in a Cantina on Onderon. She signed up as my copilot and first mate. We came to Coruscant looking for cargo or something. Unfortunately, trouble found us."
Randall rubbed his nose again, while mentally surveying the significant damage that the Chaos had taken in its escape from Coruscant. "Lots of trouble."
"Well," he said, after a short pause. "I'm going to go see if Melissa needs any help with the engine. Make your self comfortable, and just let me or Tee Nine know if you need anything. I'll get you to Lyra as quickly as I can. Any friend of Melissa's is a friend of mine."
Randall flashed Saria a grin as he turned away from her, and headed back into the engine room, to see if Melissa needed help.

(( Wow i step out for a day. ))
Serenno, Carannia. The place was high brow and full of the rich and snobbish. Volgen walked with Sonya as they had just come from a well hidden weapons shop.
" Gray you read me? " Volgen stated as he walked down the side of the road getting strange looks from the locals.
" Loud and clear boyo. "
" So I found the shop. Got the things on the list you suggested. You didn't tell me we would have to deal with Neimoidians. They give even me the creeps and did we HAVE to come here. If they stare any harder I wont be held responsible for my actions. "
" Hold on. Your kind is not seen much. Your rare, plus we are out gunned here. We would leave with more holes then any thing else. "
" Hrmm. Sonya did you get what you needed? "

It had been a most interesting week for Demaia. Marr had come to her and quite easily surrendered his forces, system, and his fleet to her. Much to Demaia's surprise, Siren had done her job well. As soon as the datawork was all signed out and Lyra was hers, Demaia really had no further use for Marr. She had him tortured, and when he had no further information to give, she tortured him some more just out of spite. Then she had him frozen in Carbonite, to linger for all eternity in pain and to serve as a reminder to her own forces what happened when one overstepped their rank. As for Marr's servant, from his anguished screams Demaia ascerned that she was indeed force sensitive. She had Marie brought before her and demanded her obediance to Demaia's expanding Empire. She refused and promptly joined her master in a frozen state of suspended animation. Now Mistress of all of Marr's domains, Demaia sipped at a colorful drink and watched a squadron of her brand new Gryphon Fighters engage in maneuvers outside the bridge windows. Her forces had been given free reign to pillage Lyra as they wished while crews worked to repair her damaged hyperdrives. She soaked in the pain and suffering of Lyra's people as her minions pillaged their world and a cruel smile found its way to her lips. "You had a lovely territory, Marr." She said to one of the two slabs now hanging on the back wall of the bridge. "A pity you weren't smart enough to keep it. But don't worry. I will take good care of your peons." She gave her signature evil laugh and the bridge crew fought to avoid cringing at the sound of it. "Now then. Bring me Siren. I believe my servant deserves a reward for her hard work. Oh, and if any more calls from Yag Dhul arrive, please do ignore them. Let the republic have Yag Dhul. It is of no importance to me." She turned back to the window as a soldier bounced off to fullfill her demand. Now with Lyra's resources, Demaia had a chance for even more power. She had to be careful lest her superiors catch wind of her plotting but now she was one step closer to ruling all of Sith Space.

The engine room had seen better days indeed, half the sub-light engine instrument lights were un-lit, and the rest burned a steady angry red or flash amber. Smoke still hung in the air as the fans labored to clear the air. Melissa had one of the access-grading floor panels removed and was deep in the bowels of the Astral Chaos, at the edge of the opening lay a tool tray containing numerous hydrospanners, posit the opening in the engine room floor T-9 sat plugged into one of the ships data jacks twittering and beeping away.
“Alright, how about this one?” Melissas voice carried up through the access opening along with a plum of steam and T-9 beeped again.

"Um, need any help with that?" Randall asked, poking his head into the engine room. "If not, I'm gonna go take a look at the shield array."

Siren was pleased to see that Marr agreed to submit to Demaia's rule, and while she didn't agree with Demaia's torturing of him, she was in no position to argue against. She simply deffered to Demaia's judgement. If she believed Marr was useless, then he was useless.
It was a shame when Marie defied her too. She had potential, but when she joined Marr in carbonite, Siren could only pity her for her foolish decision. She spent the next while getting a better look around the ship, at least as much as she was allowed to see of it. She checked on the harem that was once hers and saw they were doing well. Just then, a soldier came to her. " Our Lady desires your presence. " Siren acknowledged the soldier with a nod and followed him.
After making her way through the ship, she came to the bridge. She approached Demaia, then gave a bow. " You wish to see me, My Lady? " she asked.

Demaia, an arrogant and completely confident expression upon her face, turned to look upon Siren with her drink still in hand. "Ah, Siren. So good to see you. I must say, I was pleased with your work in tricking Marr to my side. You shall be rewarded for your endevors, for I am, if nothing else, a benevolent dictator. Do you have a boon you wish of me?"

" Well, My Lady, as it so happens, while I was on Lyra, I had a message sent to my sister, Saria. I invited her to come see me and see that the Sith here are simply trying to bring prosperity to the galaxy. The true intent, however, is to show her the Dark Side and have her embrace it as I have. " Siren said.
" She should be arriving at Lyra any time now if she got my message, and if you would be so kind, My Lady, I ask your permission to bring her aboard the Star Empress. I will show her the error of the Jedi and have her embrace the Sith. She will find her place alongside myself, serving you. If she should refuse, well... your word is final, My Lady. "

Demaia nodded thoughtfully as her gaze drifted to the carbonite encased Marr and Marie. "Sounds simple enough. Very well. Let the Jedi scum aboard. She will either join us or die. Or get frozen in carbonite. I have to admit I have rather become fond of the carbonite method..." Clearing her throat, her yellow eyes slid back to Siren. "I will trust you to make the proper arrangements to have her brought onboard. We will show her power unatainable by those pathetic Jedi: The power of the Dark Side."
