Wow, Kasiya thought, watching the black Charizard take to the air. There wasn't an abundance of room, but it got him off the floor. He'll want to avoid those Thunderbolts for sure, she thought. Electrode whirled out of the fog of smoke, sparks crackling over its sphere-shaped body.
"It ain't over yet," Surge barked, although looking impressed at the sudden evolution. "Always makes a man proud to see his opponent rise to the challenge." He chuckled, then became serious again. "No more fooling around, Electrode! Use Shock Wave! Now!"

"Counter with Flamethrower!" Seth yelled as the Charziard was struck by the electric attack. The Electrode suffered a few burn marks, it didn't look too serious though. "Smokescreen!" Seth yelled as his Pokemon did as it was instructed. With the lighting cracking from it's body Seth knew where he was. "Flamethrower! Then follow up with a Wing Attack!"
Seth was really getting into the battling spirit. Aero would love this, but I think this is Charcoal's forte. Seth watched a the battle commence waiting for another ingeniuos move from Surge. His thoughts rapidly flowed thinking of more ways to use Charcoal's newly learned attacks into a combination with his old one to make a powerful move.

"Hmm..." mumbled Surge, a plan forming in his mind. "Electrode! Use Light Screen!" he shouted, and a glimmering wall appeared before Electrode as the flames crashed into it. The Wing Attack from charcoal seemingly bounced off Electrode's round body. "Now use Double Team!"
Intense, thought Kasiya. And Seth says he doesn't battle much...

((I don't remember where I left off, so I'll just put myself in Mauville City. xd And also, I'm going to capture an Electrike, if that's OK. 4laugh ))
Keegan finally arrived in Mauville City, and looked around excitedly at his new surroundings. He could see signs pointing towards the gym, and also a bustling crowd near the game corner. "Interesting," he said, and headed towards the Pokemon Center. He had Vulpix checked, and after he was given a clean bill of health, he went out to explore some more. A sign caught his eye, and he walked his bike up to it, Vulpix perched in the basked. "Cycling Road," he read aloud. "Test your mettle and see if you can set a record." He looked at Vulpix. "Sounds like fun, don't you think?"
"Vull!" cried the little fox, looking excited.
"Great." Keegan pushed his bike through the doors that lead to cycling road, his excitement building.

"I can't believe you have to have a Mach Bike in order to race. That's so not fair," Keegan groaned, sitting outside the building, his spirits dampened. Vulpix snuggled in his lap, trying to cheer his trainer up. "We might as well just take the trail below," he mumbled, looking towards the path. He stood up, collapsed his Acro Bike, and put it away, thankful for the convenience. "Maybe we'll have a battle or two or capture some Pokemon," he said to Vulpix. Vulpix danced happily around by his feet, and the two set off down the trail.
There were people training everywhere, with all sorts of interesting, and colourful varieties of Pokemon. Most of them, he'd never seen them before, yet he felt too shy to talk to anyone or even ask them to battle. He walked along for a while until he found a secluded spot underneath a support column for the bike path above. He still felt a bit abashed over not being able to race, but he brushed it off, sitting down to enjoy his lunch.
They'd almost finished when Keegan spotted a green and yellow Pokemon watching him and Vulpix. On closer inspection, he could tell it was an Electrike. "Wow," he said, watching it closely.

When it realized it had been noticed, the Electrike crept a bit closer, sniffing intently. Keegan realized it was probably hungry. "It's okay," he said in a calm voice. "You can have some food if you'd like to. We have plenty."
"Vull!" Vulpix said, trying to be friendly.
Electrike stepped a bit closer, and Vulpix jumped up excitedly, eager to make a new friend. This started the electric Pokemon, and it jumped back, and released a wave of static electricity that struck Vulpix. He collapsed to the ground, his small body quivering and suddenly stopping as it was paralyzed.
"Hey don't do that!" Keegan cried. "Vulpix, you can shake it off! C'mon! Use your Ember attack!"
Vulpix staggered to his feet, and tried to launch the ember attack. The attack didn't come, and Electrike ran in and hit with a Tackle.

"Vulpix!" cried Keegan, running over to his fallen Pokemon. The paralysis was pretty hampering, but he got to his feet. "Try using Heat Wave," Keegan said gently, not wanting to push Vulpix too hard.
"Vull!" Vulpix released the heat wave, striking the Electrike head on. It was knocked over backwards, and Keegan didn't hesitate to throw a Pokeball at it it. The Pokemon was pulled inside, and the ball shook and shook. Keegan didn't watch it, as his only concern was Vulpix, who looked like he was in a lot of pain.
"Nice catch," said a voice from in front of him. Keegan looked up. A tall boy with blonde hair handed him his Pokeball. "Vulpix doesn't learn Heat Wave normally. Are you a breeder or something?
"Well, my parents are," he said, accepting the Pokeball. "And thanks."
"Your Vulpix looks like its in bad shape. Here, this should help." The boy reached down and sprayed Vulpix with a potionlike item. Vupix relaxed in Keegan's arms as its muscles loosened up.
"What's that?" asked Keegan.
"Paralyze Heal. You need them if you're gonna train in this area, or be ready to make frequent trips to the Pokemon Center. There are many Electrike in this area, and they love to paralyze their opponents."
"Thanks," Keegan said, grateful for the boy's help. "I think I'll head back there now, and rest up a bit."
"No problem, it's always nice to help." The boy waved, and walked back over to his bicycle. Keegan recalled Vulpix into his Pokeball, unfolded his own bike, and headed back to the Pokemon Center in Mauville City.

((Hey everyone I'm new, so I'll try this out!))
"Bye mom," Sawaki muttered as she abandoned the house. This was her home, and she was leaving it. "Honey! Wait, one more thing!" her mom yelled as Sawaki re-entered the house reluctantly. "What?" she whispered, trying to get out of here. "Be careful, and when you catch your first pokemon, come see me. " With that she handed Sawaki 5 pokeballs, all shining deep red in her hands. "Thanks mom, can I go now?" she asked. With a sad nod from her mother she took off, in search for grass.
Far away she could see something yellow peering at her. She decided to take her chance and throw a pokeball at it. As Sawaki crept up closer she could see an injured Pichu, about to be attacked by Poochyena! Hastily she grabbed a pokeball and flung it at the Pichu. It was caught immediatly. Without a minute to loose, Sawaki ran to Oldale town.

She'd never left home before, so it took her some time to find the pokemon center. While she was running around trying to figure out where she was on her pokenav, her Pichu cameout of her Pokeball. "Pichu! You're injured! Get back in there." Unable to mutter a sound, the Pichu lay sprawn over the floor, eyes closed in pain. "Wow, that's a rare pokemon." Said a young man from across the street. "Oh, pardon me, let me introduce myself." he said, picking up the fainted Pichu. "My name is Jordan, and I'm a Pokemaniac. I had a Pichu last year, but now it's a Raichu." he explained, pulling out a potion from his pocket. He slowly fed the potion to Pichu, as Sawaki watched her wake up. "PICHU PI!" creamed the Pichu in delight. When she saw who was about to pick her up, she got frightened and scurried towards Sawaki. Even though they'd bearly known each other, this Pichu had trust in her. "Aww, you poor thing." Sawaki admired, picking up the Pichu. "Thank you very much, Jordan, how can I help you?" "Well, you can name her in front of me, so I can see what you've named her. I named my Pichu Jolt." he said, pulling out a great ball. "Come out Jolt!" he yelled, unleashing a beautiful Raichu. "Wow, is that what my Pichu will become?" Sawaki muttered. Jordan nodded. "Ok, then I shall name her.... Sparkle!" happy with her new name, Sparkle jumped up and down as the sun set, bringing darkness to the Hoenn region.
