My parents didn't want to spoil Christmas, so they didn't mention it until last night... cry cry cry You know how most of you are aware that Mum's mum has breast cancer and is going through chemo right now? Apparently, Dad's dad has cancer in his esophagus and is going through it right now, too. Dad's parents don't live close like Mum's, so they were able to hide it from us. Pop-pop will be getting treatment until June, and Grums' will end before Easter, so Pop-pop's must be more aggressive. I was coping okay before, but now..
When it was only Grums I could simply focus on it being ONE person and not get TOO down. It helped that breast cancer has a higher survival rate than any other cancer besides skin cancer. It was a bit difficult to deal with before, but I magnaged okay. 3nodding
Now, however... sweatdrop crying both sides having it at the same time... sweatdrop crying It's a lot to handle. I'm basically guaranteed to lose a grandparent within the year. DAMMIT! *smashes nearest object*
I'm a cheerful individual, so I'll try not to let it outwardly affect me, especially around my little sisters, but it's going to be a challenge. cry

Hello, Everyone. How are you all doing? I really miss being on here quite a bit. (This is Madam Hare) Just so you guys know. Is there anything new going on? Anyone have any new things to say? I am going to be setting up a New Years Resolution thread, if any of you wish to give me suggestion than I will take them into consideration, also does anyone have skills at making some great looking posts? I lost my copy of photoshop so I will be unable to do that myself until I can bit torrent it later on.

I'm a cheerful individual, so I'll try not to let it outwardly affect me, especially around my little sisters, but it's going to be a challenge. cry I know how that is, almost every family member I am close to has had some type of cancer. My grandmother has had: Ovarian Cancer, Skin Cancer, and Breast Cancer. My Mother has had: Ovarian Cancer. My Sister has: Polyasistic Ovarian Syndrome (Little tumor type masses on the ovaries, benign though.) My Dad has had: Skin Cancer. My Great Grandmother passed away from a combo of at least three different cancers, I just don't remember which ones, it has been about 7 years since she passed. Plus my family members also have Heart conditions, so I know how you feel. *Hugs you real tight.* You just have to remember to keep it together even though it really sucks at times. If they do pass just keep in mind that at least where they are they are not longer in pain, they are in ecstasy. Plus you still have time with them, make it the best time ever, if you are able. Spend time with them, learn all they wish to teach (Such as Cooking, or Sewing or whatever ((My granny and I do those things together.)) ) in that way you will always have them with you when you complete those tasks again. I am really sorry that you are suffering if there is anything I can do, just pm me or get a hold of me on msn or yahoo. msn: Sassy_Bam_Ber@hotmail.com yahoo: Steel_Angle_Kurumi_1988@yahoo.com (That goes to anyone who may need to talk to someone. Anyone is welcome to use these. Add me to the messengers or just e-mail or pm me.)

Hmm, I'm sorry about the cancer, Minerva. While I've not lost my family members from cancer, I recently lost my Granpa, from Alzheimers'. I hope that your family members pull through.

I'm a cheerful individual, so I'll try not to let it outwardly affect me, especially around my little sisters, but it's going to be a challenge. cry Minerva, I'm really sorry to hear that. I sort of know what you are feeling right now, my father was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer on my first birthday and throughout my life he has had to have chemo. Thyroid Cancer and defect problems run on both side of my family, and my Great Grandma(mom's side) had it too. My Great Uncle died from Alzheimer’s right after my other one, his younger brother died of lung cancer and cancer of the tongue three years ago. My Aunt Sherry has had breast cancer and she got through it okay, my prayers and thoughts are with you, and if you want someone to talk to all you have to do is send me a PM and ask. Sometimes life just hands us unexpected things like this, all we can do is try to cope with them as best we can and have the strenght and wisdom to ask for help when it becomes to much. ^_^ try to find a moment once and awhile and just smile to yourself, the more positive you are the better it will be.

Ello, all. I'm new and I been sorted into Ravenclaw. My name is Kristina, I love Harry Potter, and I really enjoy reading fan fictions. I usually read the fan fics of the Slashy variety. They are my favorite by far. That is all I know what to say, so bye.

Oh I'm so sorry Min. It's kind of like what was with Slytherin earlier on anyways. Now that I think of it... how is your grandfather Slytherin? Mine is doing alright and all talk of Alzheimers has vanished... Well... At least for now but I only have 10 days before I cut off from the human world for 3 months and have to endure a life of Drill instructors with no way out except through paper and pen. At least I'm a writer. Oh good luck Min.
