@Rosa - Yeah.. maybe some parents actually think it makes their kids more, y'know, grown-up and mature? confused sweatdrop

@t0sh: Get the swimsuit. cool
And today I went to a chinese family gathering thingy, think it was some kid's bday or something. Anyways my chinese friend's mum was there and she was wearing like the shortest mini-skirt out of all the girls there! Including her own 14 yr old daughter! xd She even had one of those black punkish belts with metal studs in lol.
My mum and I were laughing about it on the way home ahaha, gawd. I mean she doesn't look half bad in it, but jeez, she's like 40-something. Dress your age woman. xP

What has the world gone to? gonk Speaking of Chinese family gathering...I have to go out for dinner with my grandma, aunt, uncle, my cousin and her husband and kids, mom and dad. I half expect some family drama to happen. Joy.

Niph: I seriously doubt our generation will be the saviours of the world, even though we are the future leaders. The Baby boomers have not given up their power yet-it will take another twenty years for them to all die out. Which by that time most of us would have been taught to act the same ways as the Baby boomers.

| If I had a star for everytime you made me happy.. | That reminds me.
On the bus from sschool to the train station,
This creepy hobo came right up to our bus and started eyeing us.
He was carrying a beer bottle in his hand [&&] started tapping the bus windows.
=="
And when we got out,
He started running after two girls who go in the opposite direction in which the majority of us do.
D;
But they escaped, which was good.

What the hell is the world coming to!? There's ****** everywhere! D<

t0sh - reason why I don't like bikini's and two pieces....they are too revealing >__>
Rosa - I don't really expect family drama whenever I go to a family gathering...cos I already know there will be drama...mostly about jobs and money related xd
Mini - reason why you don't see much asian parents having goth styles is because they think black is some kind of un-holy colour rolleyes
Sin - lol xd I've never seen a hobo do that o__O If that ever happened to me I would be creeped out gonk But I have experienced some hobo's in the streets of London eyeing us o___O;;
Toki - There are lots of ***** in this world. One of my friends hate going down a particular street that I walk through every morning and afternoon to get to and from school, cos she said that her mum used to live in that street and the street were full of ***** when we were walking to my house to get something, during lunch, she said that a man gave her a dirty look when she walked down that street. And another man said something to her but she didn't hear it correctly o__O When we got back to school, she looked really creeped out, and said that she will never walk down that street ever again xd Those things never happened to me before though =/

Niphredil Ithilmir Does anyone know anything about non-modernist prose literature?! gonk Hmm, I studied Modern Literature in the first semester at Uni so I know a bit about this stuff. Modernist Prose Literature dates from the period around the 1890s until the ever of World War 2. So anything before or after those times counts as non-modernist. But as for definining what non-modernist is, I don't think there is a specific term for it. Prose literature before 1890 would be defined as Romantic literature, dominated by Shelley and Byron in the early 1800s, and ending with Dickens, Tolstoy and the other epic prose writers. Prose literature after 1940 is usually defined by the loose term 'Post-modernist' which covers some really wierd categories from the stoner poets like Ginsberg, to Post-colonial works from India and Africa, to dystopic visionaries led by Orwell and finally concluding with new cyberpunk writers like Gibson. I haven't studied the long period of Post-modernist Prose literature so I can't tell what it's about honestly.
