Ivy's eyes opened a bit wider.

Eve ran over to her grandpa and leaned on his knees, looking up at him and tilting her head innocently. "Which home Grandpa?"

Valor helped her with patients of a Saint and kept her well encouraged.

Salazar woke up a bit later, feeling like hell. "Ugh...What the hell did I do last night?" Blithe wasn't in the room at the moment, though he thought she was still here. He looked down at his body and saw the numerous wounds. "Ah, that is what I did." It slowly came back to him and he tried to take it all in stride. He took a moment to meditate, to try and focus his demonic energy so it would not fail. At last he felt calm and let the healing fire wash over him. The bruises cleared up and cuts closed. He looked pretty back to normal, despite the fact he was still sore as all hell. Very slowly, and very carefully. He got up and started to get dressed into a new pair of clothes. Making himself look good for Ivy and Eve. As he dressed, he did his best to recall the events of last night and why he did them. Eventually he had most of it figured out, and that depressed him. He laid back down in bed and turned on the radio. Something Stupid by Frank Sinatra started up, and as Salazar listened to lyrics he smirked at the relevance. "Tell me about it ol blue eyes."

Be smiled and nodded "You're doing perfect. Now, go get eggs, milk, salt and pepper. We can use the same skillet."

Blithe nodded and checked his forehead to see if he'd gotten an infection. "I told the girls you're sick, and that you didn't want to make them sick. They've been hard at work on these pictures most the day... the rest of the... 'meat' is in the freezer. Your neighbor really was an a*****e...." she said moving away. at this point, she wanted to avoid annoying him, no uneccisary touches or words. She'd seen where his heart lies, but that disn't mean hers would change. So was her fate it seemed.

He chuckled "First, turn off the burner love, so we have a bit of time."

"Well, technically, I didn't murder anyone. He had a heart attack, honest, and I didn't cause it. I just didn't help either. Warwick claims he can watch the girls. I wanted your verdict before I let you have your family time." she said She was doing her best to keep a straight face and even tone. "Honestly, you could've easily died, so you have no right to get angry at me. I can brainwash cops for christs sake. And before you ask, no there was no risk of the girls getting hurt or seeing me do the butcher work because I did it in suspended time. I'm not an ameture. Not to mention if you cut yourself off entirely, you'll make yourself sick." she said awaiting his answer befor she'd leave. It was the first time he'd ever heard her raise her voice, and she regretted it almost instantly.

Her tone softened to the usual mothering one she was known for. "We can't change what we are, Salazaar, it's not what we exist for, but we can alter how they see us." by they, she meant the girls of course. "I'm not saying you aren't in the right, I'm simply saying you know if you didn't have a prestock of meat, there's a chance you'd break down and do it eventually. I thought I'd save you the trouble of risking them seeing. You've got a second chance Mr.Neri, I don't want to see you lose it. You've worked far too hard at this for that... I figured you could use the excuse you were on a special diet or something... big shot lawyer stuff... I thought it through." She averted her eyes. She wasn't sure how to feel. Part of her was offended that he'd think her so stupid that she'd just go on a killing spree with the girls in her care, and part of her knew he was just a woried parent. Part of her was feeling too emotionally invested, and like she should just leave and let him find a new nanny who wasn't homeless or mutant. The rest of her was exhausted from the amount of energy she'd put into getting him home and protecting those girls and just wanted to shut down entirely. It takes a lot of energy to stop time, and she'd done it twice, for extended periods, in 24 hours now.

He smiled "good, now put a thin layer of milk in the pan, it makes your eggs fluffy and cools the pan."
