(( Yeah, Oklahoma has been that way too...its really humid so everything feels like there is a thin layer of film on it. About two days ago the air was so humid that it made me feel pretty gross too. But yes, I have returned Ash, he is just a fun C to play! ))
Ash begins making his way around the tavern and starts inspecting things while talking under his breath.
That wasn't here before...neither was that... Hmm...what is this?
He continues wandering around the place as he is taking it all in. He pulls out a Lucky Strike and lights it, taking a few puffs and investigating further.

Ash had made a full sweep of the eating area and the main bar, so much so that he had already poured himself a drink, a shot of gin and tonic on the rocks, and was sipping it as he observed the new fixtures and structures in the tavern.
Holy s**t man...Aykon must have really amped up his tastes!
He took some more puffs off his smoke and walked around, observing the place.

((It will only be for a bit, since you are about to leave soon-ish, but he can at least say hi! 3nodding ))
*Hikaru felt like had been sleeping for days. He looked over and saw that Keira was still sleeping just the way he had left her. He smiled and got up quietly to quickly shower and change. He was feeling rather bored but didn't want to wake Keira. So he headed downstairs instead, slipping his shoes on at the bottom of the stairs. He spotted the new guy instantly and wondered who it was. He noticed that he was drinking and he smiled to himself. He wondered if anyone drank around her, finally he saw at least one person was. He walked over to the stranger and smiled with charm.*
Hi there, checking the place out I see. New costumer for Ben maybe? Or just passing through?

By the time that Hikaru had come downstairs, Ash had already finished half his glass and all his smoke. The air of light tobacco smoke could be smelled and the man was just looking at the new surroundings.
When he heard a voice, he turned over to see the man and gave him a half wave.
Hey, sup? Nah, I don't know any Ben, I am trying to see what that blond sprite Aykon and cute little hottie named Fire is doing. Seen 'em?
The man's voice was carefree and light, just like Hikaru's was most of the time.

*Hikaru smiled when he heard the guy speak. He instantly liked him. He stopped at the bar and leaned on it casually as he thought about what he was asking.*
Hmm, well, I think Aykon was the old owner I've heard about a couple of times...but he isn't here anymore and the only person around here right now who knew him is Synge. A guy named Ben runs the place now. As for a hottie named Fire...definitely would have noticed something like that, so no, she isn't here either, heh.
*He took this moment to look over the new person and decided he liked what he saw.*

Ash remained sitting at the bar as he sipped on his drink. This man was nice enough he thought.
For real? That old b*****d finally moved on, eh? That's pretty cool. This Ben guy has got some bitchin taste! I haven't seen the place look like this the entire time its been open. Two thumbs of for that. Never heard of Synge though...
The way that he said Synge's name made it sound awkward and slightly strange coming from his mouth as if he was trying the name on.
When he was asked who he was, he offered his hand at first like a hand slap and then shook Hikaru's hand and let it drop. His hand was a bit rough but nothing too odd.
Name's Ash, pleased to meetcha Hik! So what do you do around here?

*Hikaru shrugged when you said you didn't know Synge. He wasn't sure if they would have met ever, but he would ask Synge about this later. For a moment he wondered where Synge was, but pushed the thought away. Surely she wasn't doing anything with Ben.*
True, the place does look good...I never saw the old look though so I guess I'l take your word for it, heh.
*Hikaru's touch was a bit softer than yours, but he accepted the rough hand shake with a smile. He raised his eyebrow as he was called Hik, this was a first for sure. He wouldn't complain for now though. He continued to lean casually against the bar and smirked.*
Not a lot honestly, been a bit boring since I arrived. Maybe your appearance means something more interesting is about to happen.

Yeah, the old place was pretty rustic...mostly stone and wood, kind of depressing in its own way. But Aykon liked simple stuff...you know.
Ash looked over the man as he watched him talk, Hikaru might feel as though this man was noting lots of things about him just by how he carried himself. His analytical view wasn't one that would cause discomfort, just noticable nuances.
Oh yeah? That kinda sucks. This place used to be hoppin' back in the days.
He downs his glass and shakes his head
Nah, I ain't special. I was mostly seeing if that gal figured out who she loved. If she ain't here and he ain't here...I think I know what choice was made...

*Hikaru listened as you spoke about Aykon. He had heard a lot of good things about him from Synge, but knew little about him really. Hikaru noticed that he was being observed in a way, but didn't seem bothered at all. Instead he was more pleased by this than anything. He shrugged.*
Well, it gets entertaining every now and then. You came at a pretty dead time though. If you come back, maybe it will be different...
*He smiled and nodded. He thought about what you just said and shrugged again.*
Maybe, Synge did tell me that he left with some girl. Sorry it wasn't you she left with. Her lose?

Ash continued to observe the room but decided it was time to make an exit. He placed his empty glass on the sink in the bar.
It's oklay if the place is dead occasionally..no big...but if you'll excuse me, I need to go visit some mroe friends....and it's not her loss...heh, I know Aykon would have treated her better than I could...he knows how love a lot better than most people I know...
He raised a hand and nodded.
See ya Hik! Nice talking wicha!
The man then vanished out the door.

*He saw Ash vanish and he smiled to himself. He did hope he would see him around again. He thought of Keira sleeping upstairs, and then of Synge. He wanted to see her but wasn't sure where she was right now. Sighing he sat on the couch and laid back. He wondered about Aykon, everyone seemed to like him so much. He wondered why. He thought he must be pretty attractive if a girl would pick him over Ash. He smirked to himself and soon fell asleep on the couch.*
