I'll just leave this message here for whoever comes in next, I guess.
Basically, my mom is pretty much on her death bed. The cancer is finally really taking its toll. She's not critical right now, but for the past week, she's been having horrible nausea. We've had nurses in the home 24/7 until last night. She's on a lot of anti-nausea medications and pain medications, and the general consensus with the nurses and the Doctor, is that she has weeks left, as opposed to months.
My father and my mother both feel that she could pass at any time. My mom has come to terms with it, and at this point, once she's seen family- she WANTS to go. She's tired, and she's not feeling well, and she just wants it to be over.
One of my cousins flew down from New Jersey yesterday, and two others drove to visit as well. They were all here last night. My Aunt (my mom's sister) is coming down today, as well as another Aunt and cousin. One of my Uncles (one of my mom's brothers) is coming this weekend.
Basically, everyone that can come is coming to have one last visit. It's all basically winding down, and I think it won't be long after family visits. I've taken a family medical leave of absence from work, so I'm going to be at home, helping care for her along with my father, until some time after she's passed.
Tim is still working, but they know the situation, and if he has to leave to come home, he will.
So. Yeah. That's what's going on right now.
I know I haven't been in Guild for a long time, and I likely won't be back regularly. I'm kind of starting my life with Tim, etc. Full time job. And of course, family things.
But I just thought this was kind of important to tell everyone, since I know most of you knew that my mom was sick.

I'm happy for you and Tim, but I am so sorry about your
mother. She was a wonderful cook and I will miss her.
I'm sorry you have to go through something like this.
I was having second thoughts about posting this, but I felt wrong ignoring it. I
hope you aren't too angry that I chose this point in time to state my sorrow.

Hello everyone! I don't really have an update on myself, but I wanted to post on here to let anyone know that I still post and check in through here, so if you want to talk, I'll be checking by. I know it's been forever since anyone posted here, and it'll be a while until anyone posts here ever again (if ever), but I still check gaia and I still check the guild.
